I'd love to be participating in the forum more right now. I'm really into some of the topics like the one about The Healing of the Harms and the one about the radio adaptations. But I've got a job at the moment that requires me to stay up late, and I've started a personal writing project (a screenplay adapted from the book, Hard Times by Charles Dickens) so I'm too tired nowadays to type out my complicated thoughts and ideas. I'll be back before too long though.
For better or worse-for who knows what may unfold from a chrysalis?-hope was left behind.

We will miss you around the forum, @col-klink, but wish you the best both in your job and on the Dickens' screenplay, very cool! Looking forward to your participation here, again, whenever you are able to return to NWeb.

I'll shortly be spending two months in UK. (Leaving 9 November NZ time).
This means I'll visit often, but you may see me on site at different hours from normal for me - it's 12 hours later than here.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

Hi littgriz, nice to see you have come back to Narnia Web. I hope you enjoy yourself here & meet new friends as well.
Hello NarniawWeb, it has been such a long time since I've dropped in, and so much has changed! I have such fond memories of dissecting book details with everyone, adjusting to the new forum transitions, and speculating about the early announcements of Netflix's Narnia. Now one university degree later, I've come to find it's becoming a reality, and it all feels rather surreal and nostalgic.
I just wanted to pop in and say hi again, as well as a huge thank you to the NarniaWeb team who keeps the forum running and the Talking Beasts hosts. This forum sparked my imagination, sharpened my critical thinking, allowed me to adjust to an online presence as the first forum I joined, and gave me such a deeper appreciation for C.S. Lewis (and, unbeknownst to me at the time, prepared me for a C.S. Lewis, Tolkien, and the Inklings course I would later take).
I don't know how often I'll be able to be around, but I'll try my best. This place will always have a special place in my heart 😊

"I am,” said Aslan. "But there I have another name. You must learn to know me by that name. This was the very reason why you were brought to Narnia, that by knowing me here for a little, you may know me better there.”
Good to see you again, @Wanderer! Congratulations on finishing your university degree and all the best for your future — I hope you do manage to drop in here from time to time.
"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."

Welcome back, @Wanderer. What a warm, nostalgic post. May I ask what your university degree is in? Congratulations on that significant accomplishment! I often think how much I love the university classroom setting, and still miss it, even now, decades later. So glad you popped by here again, and I hope you can do so whenever you are able. Take good care.

Greetings @courtenay and @jo! So glad to see that many people from the forum transition days and before are still around. Thank you for the warm welcome back!
May I ask what your university degree is in?
I obtained a B.A. in Intercultural Studies with a double minor in History and Spanish. It was an interdisciplinary major, so I was able to take classes in a variety of subjects and make connections between them. The only thing about this type of broad degree is that it makes it more difficult to articulate specific skill sets or qualifications on applications (something I didn't fully grasp at the outset 😅). I hope to work long term in the nonprofit sector, but wherever I go, I would like to work with multicultural populations and be a lifelong learner (I still sometimes wish I could've majored in five or six different areas!).

@wanderer well done! You've certainly been very busy since we last saw you. I hope you will have time to visit us often.

Oops, just now saw this thread today. Love the "Sam Gamgee" title! I had posted yesterday in the Getting to Know You thread. https://community.narniaweb.com/index.php/community/the-spare-oom/getting-to-know-you-3/paged/17/#post-354781
Lost in the woods and weary he looked into the night sky and a voice spoke to him, "As long as the moon shines, I will be with you. The day the moon no longer shines, you will be with Me."
