Yay for the CDs, QS! And the iTunes cards, AC! I got a few iTunes cards and also the CD Ocean Eyes. :D Let me know how We Need Each Other is - from the songs I've heard on it, overall I don't like it as much as Fight the Tide or the Face of Love. But, I haven't ever listened to the whole thing.

Right now I am really liking the Danyew EP, especially the song "The Closer We Are." If you like good deals, check out the Fall 2009 Sampler ( http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/now-he ... d329843348) on iTunes - 17 songs for just 2.49!!!!!!!!! And a lot of them are really great! One of them is the Danyew song I just mentioned. There's also songs by Britt Nicole, FM Static, Future of Forestry, and Philmont. Definitely worth buying!

Ok, so I did end up getting one CD for Christmas (not counting the family's new WOW Hits 2010). narnian_at_heart gave me Hawk Nelson's CD "Smile, it's the End of the World."

I got Relient K's Forget and Not Slow Down today. :D Yesterday I discovered a CD shaped package for me, and I was confused after squishing it (half the fun is squishing things) because I thought FANSD would have had a hard plastic case... but it has a nice squishy cardboard case, so that was relieving. :p

Why does everyone like Ocean Eyes best of Owl City's CDs? I like Of June and Maybe I'm Dreaming better. :P And, while on the subject of Owl City, it really irks me that everyone in the world loves Fireflies, but there's very few people who like his other stuff. /:) My best friend is a Fireflies-only fan. :((

Kat: Oooh, awesome!! :D My Older brother was helping my Mom buy the CDs and they were listening to clips of the songs.
"I like these better," my Mom says, speaking of TAN.

My brother told me he tried to get her to buy Sanctus Real because it was a bit rockier. ;) *laugh* I certainly wasn't expecting TWO CDs!! :D

Oh, and I think I might like SR's other 2 CD's better too... But "We Need EachOther" is pretty good. :) I think we might own the other two already, so I had no need for those. ;)

That kinda stinks, Nio. :( I like pretty much every song I've heard by OC... :p

Queen Susan: yay! now you can hear TAN and talk about it with all of us! :D I like Sanctus Real too.....I met them this past summer at Soulfest 2009! I had to stand in line for an hour and a half to meet them - in the blazing hot sun! but it was worth it! :D :D :D :D

Eh, I like all of Owl City's stuff nearly just as well as any of his other stuff. :P I do hate it though when people say "OH you like Owl City too? Have you heard Fireflies!?!?!??" I'm just like yes you idiot, I got it back in July when it was free single on iTunes and not in November once it hit #1 on the iTunes store charts (just kidding... but still) And then I ask them if they've heard any of his other stuff and they're like "his other music? You mean their other music." Well at this point I usually give up =))

QS: Lol, yay for your mom! ;))
Actually, I like SR nearly as well as TAN. They are rockier, :P so my mom doesn't like them as well. BUT, the other day when my mom and I were baking Christmas cookies, I was playing my iTunes library on shuffle, and so it played a lot of various music including songs by Sanctus Real and Relient K. Well, my mom admitted to me that she liked the Relient K ones better than Sanctus Real :P She said she didn't understand why Hope (one of my friends) said they weren't Christian enough. Which is sooo very weird seeing as my mom has always been fairly hostile towards RK ;)) Another small victory.. haha.. just kidding. They were the more mellow RK ones though. (like acoustic versions and acoustic Christmas songs)

My parents gave my BarlowGirl's Love and War *happy dance* and my little sister gave me Britt Nicole's The Lost Get Found *is listening to it right now* and another sister gave me an iTunes gift card and my grandparent's gave me two iTunes gift cards. So I have a total of about sixty bucks worth of music. I'm in heaven.

I have never heard Fireflies. I watched the first thirty seconds of the music video and that's it. I've only heard three of Owl City's songs: The Airway, Designer Skyline, and Hello Seattle all of which I really like. They are all off of Of June so I guess Of June is my favorite album.

Very nice, Julie. :D Sounds fun, and I like the albums you named from what I know of them. ;))

yay! now you can hear TAN and talk about it with all of us!

Well, yes. Apart from the fact that I've been talking about them with the rest of you for pretty much as long as you HAVE been talking about them. :p I had heard all the songs before I got the CD, and can identify about half of them by the first 3-5 seconds. ;))

Liberty: Haha, yeah. ;)
I have heard Falling Up, and I like some of them quite a bit. My favorite right now is "Hotel Aquarium"... :p

I like SR nearly as well as TAN

Yeah, me too. Maybe better. ;)) My Mom just liked TAN better because it wasn't quite as rocky. ;)

"OH you like Owl City too? Have you heard Fireflies!?!?!??" I'm just like yes you idiot, I got it back in July when it was free single on iTunes and not in November once it hit #1 on the iTunes store charts (just kidding... but still) And then I ask them if they've heard any of his other stuff and they're like "his other music? This paragraph was awesome. ;)) I can totally imagine that happening. :p And the "Yes you idiot" was a great touch. ;) Just kidding. :p I know you wouldn't aaaaactually say that. Probably. ;)
But yeah. :p
It's great with some people; like, I mentioned "Vanilla Twilight" to my best friend, (Just mentioned, didn't even show it to her) and the next time I see her, I mention that we went to a Brian Young conference.
She jokes, "You mean Adam Young?" (She knows the difference between conference and concert. ;) She was just--joking.)
I start racing through my brain for about 5 seconds, "Adam Young, Adam Young... Um..."
"Oh yeah! Haha. Owl City"

Yep. So I mention that I liked "Vanilla Twilight", she listens to the song plus maybe a few more, and researches the band enough to know that Adam Young is the singer, etc.

Smart girl.

listening to the first half of the top 40 songs of 2009 for the radio station I listen to. Unfortunately they don't play everything so some of my favorites won't make the list. But they do play a variety of songs so alot of favorites have made the list so far. This week #40-#21.

I've owned most of them
I just bought one song
and I don't like three of them

#40 Needtobreathe, Lay 'Em Down
#39 Kris Allen, Live Like We're Dying

#38 Sanctus Real, Forgiven
#37 VOTA, Hard to Believe
#36 Chris Tomlin, Sing Sing Sing

#35 Group 1 Crew, Movin'
#34 Casting Crowns, Until the Whole World Hears
#33 Disciple, Whatever Reason
#32 Brandon Heath, Wait and See
#31 Remedy Drive, Heartbeat

#30 Mikeschair, Can't Get Away
#29 Third Day w/ Lacy Mosley, Born Again
#28 Tenth Ave North, Hold My Heart
#27 Nevertheless, Sleeping In
#26 Barlow Girl, Beautiful Ending
#25 Remedy Drive, All Along

#24 Johnny Diaz, More Beautiful You
#23 Skillet, Hero
#22 Tobymac, City On Our Knees
#21 Jimmy Needham, A Breath or Two

Those songs there, I'd have re-arranged a bit,
and I'm sure some would have made my top 20 of the year.
Next week I will post #20-#1 of 2009 for this station.

in 2006 #1 was Aaron Shust's My Savior My God
in 2007 #1 of the year was Skillet's The Last Night
in 2008 #1 was Mainstay's Believe

no idea before that...
