Kat: Yeah, that's a good song. :D

Edit: I looked at my top 25 playlist from my Ipod... 21 out of the 25 are by Skillet. :p

Hehe, yeah, I saw your comment on youtube on that song ;)

21? Wow... ;)) half of mine are TAN and the other half are RK... but I do have about 5 songs in the mix that aren't by either artist :P

Btw, I heard Whispers in the Dark the other day, and I kind of liked it. The chorus was cool. :P But it's really not my style, so I don't know what I liked about it

Narnian1: Skillet suggestions?

Actually it was another person asking for suggestions, half of those I love myself.

yes! and I listened to it yesterday straight through, and it enhances all the songs SO much. Listening to it now as I type, I simply love her voice. What a gift! :x

I'll have to listen to the samples on iTunes! It sounds great :D

well, I have heard (and loved) ALL of Skillet's music! if you have not gotten a Skillet CD yet and want to do so, you should probably start with either "Comatose" or their newest, "Awake"! here is a list of their CD's in order:

Awesome! Thanks so much, now I'll be begging for iTunes gift cards this summer :D I didn't know they had so many CDs out! I'll probably just get Comatose and Awake, and maybe get some choice songs from the older ones. Thanks again for the suggestions, they really helped!

Oh yeah, I liked the VOTA song too. That's cool that you got an email from them about it! I don't even remember now how I found it... lol

I think we just got it because we're on their e-mail updates list...or maybe we're on the iTunes list? I don't know

Thanks narnian1 and Queen Susan too :D most all their songs sound awesome! :P

Btw, I heard Whispers in the Dark the other day, and I kind of liked it. The chorus was cool. :P But it's really not my style, so I don't know what I liked about it

I always liked Whispers in the Dark for some reason, it has a really great beat and the music is great (I was really impressed by the music in all the songs I've heard, they're all really good:) )

My top 25 are...about almost half Hawk Nelson, some Relient K, a few songs from Switchfoot, Superchick, and Bon Jovi. The three Skillet songs will be in there soon though ;)

Supertones are my FAVORITE band. The only bad thing is that they aren't a band anymore so, I couldn't go to a concert if I wanted to. :(
Has anyone heard of them?

Where there are two Narnia Webbers there are three opinions.

Thank you GTG! I love the cover, it's adorable! I really like their version! Can't wait for the next album!!! :D

I don't have an i-pod, I have a Zune, which I don't think has a top 25 thing on it. I'm only gonna list the most recent 10 songs I have been really obsessed with lately. Mostly Switchfoot. What can I say? I'm on a kick! :p

1. C'mon C'mon remix (SF)
2. Fake Your Own Death (SF, which might be on Vice Verses)
3. The Blues (again SF) I
4. Just For You (B. Reith)
5. The Terminal (Philmont)
6. Letter To The Editor (Philmont)
7. Enough To Let Me Go (SF)
8. Deep In Your Eyes (Jon Foreman)
9. Hallelujah (Tenth Ave)
10. Red Eyes (SF)

Ah yes, I think it was greenleaf... Sorry about that! :p

But it's really not my style, so I don't know what I liked about it

;)) Yeah. :p

Well... you know what? I just realized that I haven't heard all the TAN songs off of their album. I never really thought of that before... But I've only heard 5-8 of them I think... Hm. So. I'm going to go listen to more. :p

Right now I am loving Relient K's "I Celebrate The Day!" It's such a pretty song and I love the piano. Even better are the lyrics, because they're actually about the true meaning of Christmas.

Sorry I'm going back so far, but that's what happens when you go so fast when my internet is down. :p
I let my friend listen to this song as proof that RK isn't crazy. One other friend who was there didn't believe me about it being RK.

I absolutely love that song! One of my friends is always telling me how "unchristian" RK is- that song shuts her up...sometimes... ;)

Well, so far I've only found one songs I haven't heard by TAN... so I guess I'm not so far behind. ;)) At least, not yet. I'm still looking to see if there are more. ;)

winterlife: Hm, they think RK is always crazy or something? Interesting.. :)

Yeah, I get teased mercylessly for liking RK. One of my friends went online and got the names of all their wierd songs and asked to listen to them, but she usually doesn't want to hear the good ones.

Yeah, I found myself listening to it again today. ;)) Maybe I'm just finding that Skillet isn't as creepy as I thought :P

Has anyone heard of them?

Supertones...as in the O.C. Supertones? I've heard of them, they're Christian ska right? I haven't listened to any of their music though.

I let my friend listen to this song as proof that RK isn't crazy. One other friend who was there didn't believe me about it being RK.

Haha seriously, she didn't believe you? Even if I hadn't heard it before, I would believe it in an instant, because that's just what I love about Relient K - they have SO many styles. There's so much variety in their music. Pretty piano ballads, galvanizing rock tunes, country, acoustic, even a hint of electronic at times, a bit of an indie feel to their newest album, serious lyrics, emo lyrics, funny lyrics. They do it all. :) But yeah... there's always something different to listen to from them.

I absolutely love that song! One of my friends is always telling me how "unchristian" RK is- that song shuts her up...sometimes... ;)

Haha, a ton of their songs could shut her up! And even the ones that don't directly mention God..that doesn't make them un-Christian...who said it's a sin to write about a girl you love? Or a sin to have fun? :-

Well, so far I've only found one songs I haven't heard by TAN... so I guess I'm not so far behind. ;)) At least, not yet. I'm still looking to see if there are more. ;)

Hmm well the ones from their older albums are really hard to come by.. except on youtube :P As long as you've heard all the ones from Over and Underneath, you're good ;) And that would be these:
1. Love Is Here
2. Lift Us Up to Fall
3. By Your Side
4. Let It Go
5. Break Me Down
6. Hold My Heart
7. Times
8. Beloved
9. You Are
10. Satisfy
11. Hallelujah

Over the past couple days I've been listening to a lot of The Afters, Falling Up, Everyday Sunday, After Edmund, Nevertheless, and House of Heroes. It's been refreshing to listen to some new (for me) artists that aren't overplayed on the radio and that I'm not too familiar with.

That wouldn't be so bad. ;) ;)

Out of the OaU album from TAN, I have now heard all of them. The only one I hadn't heard before today was... "Let it Go" I think. :) I'm fairly sure I heard "Hallelujah" before... though possibly not.

So. Now I've heard 'em all. ;)

*listens to the "Gods and Generals" soundtrack*

greenleaf23: about the Skillet thing - you're welcome! I am sure you will enjoy Skillet! I LOVE the song "Whispers In The Dark"! my mom likes Skillet and she said that that song is her favorite of all their songs! (and she has heard all of Skillet's songs, curtisy of yours truly.....lol!)

it was funny because we were heading to church this morning and my dad (who also likes Skillet) pressed the play button on the car CD player and guess what was in there? "Awake"! (curtisy of yours truly)! so there we were, my whole family and I, driving to church singing the song "Awake And Alive" really loud! it was SO much fun! :D
