This is a song that reminds me of The Last Battle, especially when Tirian challenges the Ape on that last night.
Artist: Skillet.
Title: Hero
link:

lyrics:
I'm just a step away
I'm just a breath away
Losing my faith today
Falling off the edge today

I am just a man
Not superhuman
I'm not superhuman
Someone save me from the hate

It's just another war
Just another family torn
Falling from my faith today
Just a step from the edge
Just another day in the world we live

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time

I've gotta fight today
To live another day
Speaking my mind today
My voice will be heard today

I've gotta make a stand
But I am just a man
I'm not superhuman
My voice will be heard today

It's just another war
Just another family torn
My voice will be heard today
It's just another kill
The countdown begins to destroy ourselves

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time
[From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/s/skillet-l ... yrics.html]

I need a hero to save my life
I need a hero, just in time
Save me just in time
Save me just in time

Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?
We're in the fight of our lives
And we're not ready to die

Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero, I've got a hero
Living in me

I'm gonna fight for what's right
Today I'm speaking my mind
And if it kills me tonight
I will be ready to die

A hero's not afraid to give his life
A hero's gonna save me just in time

I need a hero to save me now
I need a hero, save me now
I need a hero to save my life
A hero will save me just in time

(I need a hero)
Who's gonna fight for what's right?
Who's gonna help us survive?

(I need a hero)
Who's gonna fight for the weak?
Who's gonna make 'em believe?
I've got a hero

I need a hero
A hero's gonna save me just in time

And here's another one that reminds me of Puddleglum's great speech in The Silver Chair, especially the chorus:
Artist: Mercyme
Title: Crazy
link:

lyrics:
Why I would I spend my life longing for the day that it would end..
Why would I spend my time pointing to another man..
Isn't that crazy

How can I find hope in dying, with promises unseen..
How can I learn your way is better
In everything I'm taught to be..
Isn't that crazy

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who's calling out to me..
And even though the world may think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

And if I boast let me boast
Of filthy rags made clean
And if I glory let me glory
In my Savior's suffering
Isn't that crazy

And as I live this daily life
I trust you for everything
And I will only take a step
When I feel You leading me
Isn't that crazy

[ From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/crazy-lyrics-mercy-me.html ]

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world my think
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

Call me crazy
You can call me crazy
Call me crazy

I have not been called to the wisdom of this world..
But to a God who is calling out to me..
And even though the world may think that
I'm losing touch with reality
It would be crazy, It would be crazy, It would be crazy
To choose this world over eternity

Isn't That crazy..
Call me crazy
You can call me crazy
Call me crazy

I love that song Lady Haleth! :D

And here's another song I found that kinda reminds me of Narnia...its called Through My Own Eyes by Aaron Carter and Kayla Hinkle

Here's the lyrics...

Give me a world that's equal on all sides
Let freedom flow as constant as the tides
I pray with each sunset, don't forget to rise
(Don't forget to rise)
I live without regret
For ordinary lives

I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

I see a land with liberty for all
Yet still I know the truth will rise and fall
(Oooh yeah-yeh)
That's just the way it goes
A word now to the wise
The world was made to change
Each day is a surprise

Lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
Looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

And I know when you're looking for the truth
(Mmmhmm)
If you go and read between the lines
You'll discover how and why

I'm lookin' at life through my own eyes
Searchin' for a hero to idolize
Feeling the pain as innocence dies
Looking at life through my own eyes
I'm hoping and praying for a brighter day
I listen to my heart and I obey
How can I see it any other way?
I'm looking at life (looking at life)
Through my own eyes

...well there it is, if you want to look it up, try google and/or youtube because its hard to find. :p

Credit for this awesome signature goes to Tarkheena! :) Thanks SO much T!

"Shadowland"

This song from The Lion King Broadway musical really reminds me of the dark times in Narnia, and how Aslan's faithful ones seek Him for help. :)

This song is called December, by AWE Band. I think it fits Polly as an older woman, but before LB takes place.

On a cold winter's morn of December
Wandering back through the forest of days
When the world was new
And You were, too
To this young heart You so swept away

How we danced through the warm nights of summer
Didn't we run through the green fields of June?
When soft, I grew
To trust in You
As this child's every wish had come true

And I will dance before You
With every breath, adore You
And share with you the hidden dreams
I've kept in my heart
To see the things that no one sees
To hear the song the angels sing
Forever Yours, my Love

Walk with me through the cool of September
How Your touch stirs the fire in my heart
Though years have gone
Love, sweet and strong
Still enraptured by all that You are

And I will dance before You
With every breath, adore You
And share with you the hidden dreams
I've kept in my heart
To see the things that no one sees
To hear the song the angels sing
Forever Yours, my Love

As autumn leaves begin to fall
Though pages turn, I can still recall
Every precious word, every memory
That became a love so tenderly
Devoted to You, my Love

On this cold winter's morn of December
Soon I'll rest in a chorus of praise
But when time is through
I'll wake to You
Where I'll dance with You all of my days

Note: you may have a hard time finding this song anywhere, as this band is not published nearly as much as they deserve! :-

I don't think anyone has posted this song yet but it's called Further Up/Further In by My Epic. I don't really listen to the band but I saw the song title and it made me think of LB (of course). I'm pretty sure there are intentional references to Narnia, like "You call all times soon. You call all times soon" Which Aslan says in VDT. The lyrics all mostly make me think of the Pevensies wanting to go back to Narnia and how when they discovered the real Narnia in LB they realized it was their real home. It just shows their longing.

"The Voice" by Celtic Woman makes me think of Aslan. :)

Ex. "I am the Voice of the past that will always be."
"I am the Force that in springtime will grow."

I was just listening to the song "Come What May" and I was thinking how much that reminded me of Caspian and Ramandu's daughter :)

This song is off Switchfoot's newest album, "Vice Verses." It really reminds me of The Last Battle. The parts I think are most suit to Narnia are bolded. (I rather agreed with the person who commented that, if The Last Battle were ever made into a movie, this would be a great song to play at the end):
Title: Where I Belong
Link:

... re=related
Lyrics:
Feeling like a refugee
Like it don't belong to me
The colors flash across the sky

This air feels strange to me
Feeling like a tragedy
I take a deep breath and close my eyes
One last time
One last time

Storms on the wasteland
Dark clouds on the plains again
We were born into the fight

But I'm not sentimental
This skin and bones is a rental
And no one makes it out alive

Until I die I'll sing these songs
On the shores of Babylon
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

Where the weak are finally strong
Where the righteous right the wrongs
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

Feels like we're just waiting, waiting
While our hearts are just breaking, breaking
Feels like we've been fighting against the tide

I wanna see the earth start shaking
I wanna see a generation
Finally waking up inside

Until I die I'll sing these songs
On the shores of Babylon
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

Where the weak are finally strong
Where the righteous right the wrongs
Still looking for a home
In a world where I belong

This body's not my own
This world is not my own
But I still can hear the sound
Of my heart beating out
So let's go boys, play it loud

On the final day I die
I want to hold my head up high
I want to tell You that I tried
To live it like a song

And when I reach the other side
I want to look You in the eye
And know that I've arrived
In a world where I belong
In a world where I belong
In a world where I belong

Where I belong
Where I belong

Where I belong

Where I belong

I still believe we can live forever
You and I we begin forever now
Forever now
Forever
I still believe in us together
You and I we're here together now
Together now
Forever now
Forever now
Forever now
Forever
Forever

I recently saw the title of a song by a band named Caspian ( :-o ) and it was Further Up/Further In. It's instrumental, but I really liked it. Technically, it's 2 seperate songs but I believe they are played consecutively.

I think they had some literary inspiration ;)

Parts of the song, "Reality," by Kenny Chesney make me think of Narnia. (Note I'm not positive, but this song might have one or two instances of swearing)

"Reality, yeah, sometimes life
Ain't all that it's cracked up to be
So let's take a chance and live this fantasy
'Cause everybody needs to break free from reality"

It makes me think of how the kids are always wisked to Narnia during a hard time in their world.

Also from the Lion King II soundtrack:

"The mountains are calling and I must go, and I will work on while I can, studying incessantly." -John Muir
"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down

I always think of Narnia when I hear Switchfoot's "The Setting Sun", mainly the chorus:

It won't be long
I belong
Somewhere past the setting sun
Finally free
Finally strong
Somewhere back where I belong

Reminds me of VDT. Except of course, Aslan's Country is beyond the rising sun, but hey, close enough, right?

"Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane always reminds me of Narnia. It seems to me to deal with the idea of growing up and the nostalgia at wanting to return to a secret childhood place or memory only shared by a closest few, an idea which seems prevalent in many of the Narnia stories.

"Finally Home," by Mercyme makes me think of Tirian in New Narnia, especially the parts about meeting his father and seeing Aslan at the end:

... re=related

Lyrics:
I'm gonna wrap my arms around my daddy's neck
And tell him that I've missed him.
And tell him all about the man that I became
And hope that it pleased him

There's so much I want to say
There's so much I want you to know

Chorus
When I finally make it home
When I finally make it home

Then I'll gaze upon the throne of the King
Frozen in my steps
And all the questions that I swore I would ask
Words just won't come yet

So amazed at what I've seen
So much more than this old mind can hold

Chorus

Bridge
And the sweetest sound my ears have yet to hear
Voices of the angels

Chorus

Voyage by Scott Krippayne. It was inspired by VDT and should totally have been the end credits music.

Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.

"I Will Not Bow", a song by Breaking Benjamin, strongly reminds me of Tirian and the kids in The Last Battle.

Fall!

Now The dark begins to rise, save your breath it's far from over
Leave the lost and dead behind, nows your chance to run for cover
I don't want to change the world, I just want to leave it colder
Light the fuse and burn it up, take the path that leads to nowhere
All is lost again, but I'm not giving in

I Will Not Bow, I Will Not Break
I Will shut the world away
I will not fall, I will not fade
I will take your breath away

Fall!

Watch the end from dying eyes, now the dark is taking over
Show me where forever dies
Take the fall and run to heaven
All is lost again but I'm not giving in

I will not bow, I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall, I will not fade
I will take your breath away

And I'll survive, paranoid I have lost the will to change
And I am not proud, cold blooded, fake
I will shut the world away

"Yells"

I will not bow, I will not break
I will shut the world away
I will not fall, I will not fade
I will take your breath away

And I'll survive, paranoid
I have lost the will to change and I am not proud, cold blooded, fake
I will shut the world away

Fall!
