[Closed] LWW soundtrack

I haven't posted here before so I'm sorry if there is already a topic on this or if its in the wrong place.

I am considering buying the LWW soundtrack. I was wondering if its worth it and if you like it. I have heard the music in the movie and I've enjoyed it. However I've never bought a soundtrack before so I just want to make sure its worth it.

Thanks for your input, its very much appreciated. :)

I definitely think it's worth it.

Harry's music is incredibly beautiful and for the most part, it stands on its own. There are certain tracks that work better in the film than on their own, like "The White Witch" and "The Stone Table", but they are few and overall, it's an absolutely fantastic score, magic.

Things to consider:

There are at least three different releases available, two official and one not so official. You have the standard Original Motion Picture Score, which at least originally came with a lenticular 3D cover insert, you have the 2 disc Special Edition Soundtrack that comes with a DVD that has a "CONCEPT ART GALLERY" that contain a couple of pieces not found elsewhere + beautiful fold out packaging and then you have the non-official "The Recording Sessions" release . The Recording Sessions CD comes with two discs containing most, but far from all of the score recorded for the film.

Here's the rundown:

Original Sountrack (Music Composed by Harry Gregson-Williams)

I found a brand new copy of the soundtrack for a dollar on rummage this summer. I really have enjoyed it especially since you can act out the movie to it ;) :p ! If it is reasonably priced I would buy.

Yes, it's definitely worth it. I have the Special Edition soundtrack (the second one Griffle listed). I love the bonus features the DVD, they're fun to look back at and watch, and they offer stuff that not on the regular DVD.

As for the music itself, it's fantastic. A few notes:

-Tumnus' song, "A Narnian Lullaby' is slightly different than in the film. It's still wonderful, but I think it's shorter and there are more background instruments.
-The Battle score is edited a little bit, but that's to be expected, and it still includes all the highlighted moments from the film (the arrival of Jadis' army, the Gryffin attack, the charge, Aslan's return, the duel) on one track.
-There are four credits songs; I think only three of them are in the film. They are really great, if you're into that type of music.

I love this soundtrack. My favorites are Evacuating London, Aslan's Camp, The Battle, and Only the Beginning of the Adventure
