Year of The Griffin

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

An Unexpected Journey

Be still.
The voice repeated the words again and again, like a beating heart, until Janner was at last able to obey and rest, rest, rest. There in the light of the Fane of Fire, Janner Wingfeather encountered -- absorbed -- an abiding peace that he would never forget all the days of his life.
He was still. And he was loved.

McKenzie is the new kid in town, and before her family moves on again, she stars in a sequence of unlikely events that are captured in the pages of amateur reporter Louis Lane's Town News: What happened and what will happen next? (Don't miss neighbor Ernestine's annotations in the margins as she tries to fact and spell check each edition.)

Smugglers back in the time of the Napoleonic Wars were romantic figures, who beat blockades to bring to luxury loving types all the good things of life at that time, at the expense of their longsuffering governments & fellow citizens. So why does the current "Secret of Smugglers' Cave" so excite the interest of the following acronymic organisations like:  NCIS, FBI, CIA,  ASIO, SMERSH, KGB, M15, M16, not to mention our own local crime fighting organisations???? Do read this book as it will save you the bother of watching endless repeats on TV. LOL
