Yeah they all end with

Spoiler
the father not dying
but I still find them enjoyable. The song they play at the end of the Disney version ALWAYS makes me cry :)

Aslanisthebest: It's been awhile since I last saw it, so I don't remember everything, but I think

Yeah they all end with but I still find them enjoyable.

That's one of the reasons I like the miniseries

The song they play at the end of the Disney version ALWAYS makes me cry :)

Oh yes, I like the entire soundtrack.

I saw the new Emma on PBS last week and absolutely LOVED it! It was gorgeous! Lovely scenery, clothing, characters, all rolled into one. I bought the DVD as soon as it came out. Ramola Garai was a perfect Emma. I know some of you think she acts a bit too modern and that some of her expressions are not in keeping with the time period. But that's what I loved about her the most. Her energy, her expressions and her lovely personality.

Mr. Knightly was perfect for her! He was a great character and one of the reasons I love the film so much is because she marries her best friend. It's a sweet relationship and different from Jane Austen's other romances.
It was lovely film, with loads of memorable scenes and characters!

Well you all have mentioned a lot.

I've seen Emma, Jane Eyre, Amazing Grace, Little Women, the Secret Garden, Count of Monte Cristo, Sense and Sensibility, My fair Lady, all of that.

I havent seen the Pride and Prejudice and I don't plan to. Not my thing.

To be honest, I havent seen a period film in a while. The last one I saw was Titanic and that was almost a year ago

And I know "A Knights Tale" doesnt count.

Glenstorm: Hurray! :D I do hope you are able to begin it, and I hope you like it as well! :) It's a really good adaptation, I think. :) I'm awaiting your thoughts! :)

Kind folks of old, you come again no more.

Last night we watched the second episode of Wives and Daughters- I'm not liking it very much anymore. It's kinda creepy that

Spoiler
Mr. Preston liked both Cynthia and her mom *shudders*
