@jo thank you! I write, make beaded bracelets, somewhat sew, color adult coloring books, and sing.
Sounds lovely! I am not at all a craft-talented person , but as for music, it is in my very bones and heart, so it is a huge part of my life, and has been from a young age. The older I get, the greater it becomes ever more treasured to me.

Hello and welcome, @brinmarie! I was just remembering, we've got a "Your Hobbies" discussion thread here:
https://community.narniaweb.com/index.php/community/the-spare-oom/your-hobbies/#post-348379
And also one for sewing and other needlework:
(Which reminds me, I've just finished a major cross stitch piece that I'd love to share there, if I can manage to post a photo... )
Hope you enjoy being part of the community here!
"Now you are a lioness," said Aslan. "And now all Narnia will be renewed."
(Prince Caspian)
I've been getting back into Narnia recently and realized I have never posted in here to introduce myself! It's only been 7 years 😏 anyway, without further ado

Welcome back to Narnia, scientific_archer / @sirvincentofnarnia, and back to NarniaWeb!
And all the best on this final year of your Masters in Agricultural research. Sounds interesting! We have a university an hour away from us that specializes in agricultural, as well as veterinary medicine. A few of my friends have gone there for these specialties and loved the learning process.

Hello, all!
1. Name (please avoid your real full name): I go by Merian or Meri online.
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): Queen
3. Family (single/married/kids): single
4. Occupation: I work at a craft store. (I love it.)
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I’m pretty sure I learned about it through the costume site. All I know for sure is I knew about it before Prince Caspian came out because that is when I started stalking the site for news. I’ve been a long time lurker.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I have absolutely no idea. I’m pretty sure I must have watched the BBC Narnia series before reading, since my family had a tradition of watching that LWW every Christmas for several years, but I don’t remember not knowing the books.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: my best estimate is at least 20 times, but it’s hard to say.
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: For a long time The Horse and his Boy and Prince Caspian were tied as my favorites, but currently HHB edges just slightly ahead in this race.
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: Hmm. I’m in the exact middle of six siblings, I like to read, to knit, to knit while reading (sometimes), and to design sweaters. I can use a drop spindle or a spinning wheel (the drop spindle is, believe it or not, often faster for me) and sometimes I write. Which means I can spin yarns and also spin yarns.
@lady-merian welcome! I hope you enjoy getting to know us.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Welcome @lady-merian. Pretty username. "Meri" is cute too. So glad you have joined the forum after lurking for years.
How great you enjoy your craft store job so much. I laughed aloud at your witty "I can spin yarns and also spin yarns." Clever! And interesting. All the best with both!
Enjoy the discussions here!

Welcome back, Sir Vincent!
And welcome to the forum, Lady Marian. 🙂
Thank you @coracle, @sir-cabbage, and @jo! (Heh, glad you liked the play on words. Admittedly I don’t do enough of one kind of spinning these days, which is a shame because it’s great for brainstorming for the other kind.
In reality I do more drawing or even sewing than spinning…which I somehow neglected to mention.)
Welcome to Narniaweb, @lady-merian! Hope you enjoy many discussions we have about Narnia and related things! Great to have you!

1. Name (please avoid your real full name): Kirke is alright.
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): King
3. Family (single/married/kids): Single
4. Occupation: Student
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I was scrolling to find some information on the books, and I happened to find this site.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I remember I was around 7-8 years old. I later read the Magician's Nephew when I was around 11 reigniting my passion for the series ever since.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: I have read the Chronicles once in full, however I always reread Magician's Nephew, Voyage of the Dawn Treader and the Last Battle. They are very beautiful pieces of art.
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: Ooooo this is so hard, but I will have to say the Last Battle. I know it is not popular and some people do not like it because of its obvious imagery of Christ and the second coming, however it is the most beautiful end of the world of Narnia and then there's Magician's Nephew...such a wonderful story.
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I can speak two languages, and I understand 3.
Welcome to NarniaWeb, Kirke / @kirke7!

Hear-hear! A powerful tale. I cannot read those last couple of pages of TLB without tears leaping to my eyes and heart.
'Tis cool that you can speak two languages and understand three. Do you hope to go in to linguistics/translation eventually? That is a great asset to have!

Name (please avoid your real full name): The Lion Awakes (Ellie works too)
King or Queen of Narnia: Queen
Family: Single
Occupation: College student (Literature major)
How you learned about NarniaWeb: Stumbled across it while looking for news on The Silver Chair movie that never happened (RIP). I've lurked for a number of years before finally deciding to make a jump in myself!
How old were you when you first read the Chronicles? 7 or 8—my parents read The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to me, and then I devoured the rest on my own.
How many times have you read the Chronicles? I’ve lost count, but some books more than others. Probably The Magician’s Nephew and The Horse and His Boy the most.
Favorite of the Chronicles: The Magician’s Nephew—something about it just stuck with me. The Wood Between the Worlds, Charn, the creation of Narnia… it feels like pure wonder.
Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I always hated this question in school (😉) ... I’ve recently started writing my own fantasy novel and I love history!
Welcome to NarniaWeb, The Lion Awakes (great username) / @ellie! I hope you enjoy the discussions here.
That is so cool you have begun your own fantasy novel. All the best as you continue in this! I wouldn't be surprised, given your love of the Chronicles, if the world of Narnia has influenced your writing.
And wishing you well as a literature major in college! I began university in literature and English, because I love reading so, so much, but essays not so much. So, while I kept up some literature courses, I switched my major to Music Fine Arts, which I also deeply love.
