Yeah, if Skillet wasn't there at all, some other bands might get my vote. ;)) As it is, there's no way anything will beat out Skillet for me. ;) Sorry! *laugh* :p

^^yep :p

I bought How to Save a Life by The Fray off of iTunes the other day b/c of their whole 10 billion songs contest. It's actually a pretty cool song, I like it :D

I'm surprised you didn't have How To Save A Life sooner,
I thought everyone had that one by now. I've loved it since the first moment I heard it. Terrific song.

As for the Dove Awards,
I'm not sure yet who I'm voting for.

Have any of you heard of Gungor? Their new album is pretty amazing, methinks! :p Their music is sorta alternative/indie but their lyrics are what you expect from worship music...A highly enjoyable combination! :D

I'm definitely voting for Needtobreathe for group of the year! I love their music! TAN is awesome too, though! ;) :p

Queen Susan, I think you're the first person (other than myself :p ) that I've met who likes Lecrae! Far Away is an awesome song!

^^I have one friend that really loves Lecrae but yeah I personally don't like him. The most rap-ish ( :- :p ) artist I listen to is TobyMac :p .

Speaking of Casting Crowns.. today at school, my teacher was looking up youtube videos about volcanic eruptions( /:) ) and suddenly "I Know You're There" starts playing, and I'm like.. I know that song! :-o Someone had set pictures of volcanoes to the song or something. :p It was so weird, because our school isn't, like, Christian or anything, and the whole class was just kinda sitting there, listening to it. ;))

I'm not a huge fan of The Fray, that's why I didn't buy it before...

Aww.. why not? I can't really say I'm a huge fan because I haven't heard all that many songs by them, but I love what I have.

The Rocket Summer~Of Men and Angels.. comes out tomorrow! So excited - I haven't heard the songs for a week, because they got taken off Youtube. :-s So now I can hear them fresh again. Although my CD probably won't come for a few days..
Bryce is doing some kinda live event via the internet, but it's from 6am my time.. :( I guess I might watch a bit of it, just before I go to school.

Starfield's new CD comes out tomorrow as well. I'm excited for it as well, but in different ways.. It seems like they have a lot more variety in this album, which is definitely a good thing.

How exactly do the Dove Awards work? Do you just vote online or something? :- I guess if I'm able to vote, I probably won't be able to choose. TAN and Skillet are just so different.. how can they even be compared??

Avie by flambeau.

Hi, guys! :) I'm back! And I got to see TAN at the meet and greet! :D (btw, I don't know if anything was said and I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but I was just kiddin' about voting for Needtobreathe. :p You guys should know better. ;) :p )

Anyway....
Winter Jam got started with Revive, but me missed their whole performance because my little sister couln't decide on which t-shirt she wanted. 8-| We could still hear them a little though, and I thought they sounded pretty good. :)
Next was Robert Pierre, who, in my opinion, bore a striking resemblence to Elvis. :p He was ok. He has a pretty cool voice.
After Robert Pierre was the Sidewalk Prophets. The first song that they sang was "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. :-o Their entire performance wasn't all that great. :|
Then Firelight took the stage. I'm sorry,Ali, but I didn't like their performance at all. You couldn't really understand Dawn, and they were just really loud.(but I do have some good pictures for my blog. ;) ) They did "For those who Wait" and this one song that goes "Stand up if you're broken..."
After that was New Song. They were ok,too. My favorite song that they did was "Arise, my love." But during their first song, these giant blue ballons were thrown out into the audience. And when they popped, confetti came out! It was really fun to watch. :)
Next the Newsboys took the stage with the flair that only they can. B-) Michael Tait's dancing was so amusing. ;)) I was a little dissapointed at first, because the first thing he sang was the chorus of "Good Night" by the Black Eyed Peas. I've heard the whole song,(which thankfully, they didn't sing) and it's not something you sing at a Christian event.
Oh! And Michael Tait sang "Jesus Freak"!!!! :D :D :D I hope this doesn't come out as sounding ungrateful, but tobyMac was in Nashville to sing it with him. Now THAT would've been great to see!
So after the Newsboys, Tony Nolan spoke. He was absolutely amazing! His testimony was so sad. But his devotional was so true.
Then there was an intermission...
And after that, Tenth Avenue North finally took the stage! Seeing them was amazing. They sang "Love is Here", "By your Side", "Break Me Down", "Hold my heart", "Lift us Up to Fall",and the chorus of "Hallelujah." I was the biggest TAN fan in the group,so I went a tad bit crazy. ;)) It was amazing. They're so good live! Best performance of the night. Period. No,I am not biased. :p Afterwards, I bought a street sigh, t-shirt, pre-ordered the CD, and a poster. ;))
Then Third Day did their thing. They were really good too. :) Mark Lee rocks! The only thing I hated about their performance was when Mac Powell sang "Born Again." Dawn from Fireflight sang Lacey Moseley's part. To put it nicely, it was horrible. After that song we our group leader took me to get in line for TAN's meet and greet because she said,"I'm not waiting two hours just so you can get their autograph."
To elaborate on meeting TAN, they're all so nice! :) (Before they started signing, someone announced "They can only sign, one item per person." So, I got them to sign my mini-poster,and my group leader got them to sign my street sign. :p They put Bible verses by their sigs! :D )
I shook their hands(eep!) and talked to them. Mike smiled and said "Thanks for coming." I said "Thanks for being here! Maybe sometime I can see you guys when your headlining a tour." Mike: "Yeah, well, we're actually going on tour this fall for our new CD." (Btw, Mike Donehey has the most genuine smile in the world!) So, I hope the tour dates come out soon. Although they probably won't be released 'til after the CD is.

But my excitment didn't end there! After the concert was over, I went to Pizza Hut, and my group leader's daughter-in-law introduced me to the lead singer of DecembeRadio,Chad Reedy, his sister!! She's really nice. :)

One more thing: the older guy in my group likes Relient K and Switchfoot too!! He seemed really surprised that I like them. :p I'm letting him borrow "Hello Hurricane" and Wednesday, he's gonna bring me "The Beautiful Letdown" and some Relient K CD's. I'm so glad someone at my church likes them too! His girlfriend/my friend doesn't listen to either group,so I'm going to help shape her music taste. :p Wednesday, I'm going to introduce them to The Rocket Summer.

So....that's about it. I'll be back later. :) I still need to fix some of my pictures.

Too bad you didn't like Fireflight either Lark :( . They sound really good on CD, I can't imagine what could be the matter with them live... :( . Cool that you got to meet TAN :D . I used to be an insane Robert Pierre fan but now I don't really like him that much, though my sister does :p . He has a good voice but I don't love his music...*scrolls up to reread parts of your post* woah wait- you don't like Man in the Mirror?!?! :-o (sorry I'm kinda an MJ fan :p ) . I LOVE the song Born Again! Too bad you didn't like Dawn's preformance, I'd love to hear her sing Lacey's part :) .

AC: I just don't really like the lead singer's voice...and voice makes up a lot of the music-listening experience for me :p . Where's Bryce doing that? On his FB or something??? :D please let me know!

So tomorrow I'm buying the Harris twins' new book Start Here on Amazon for their book bomb. And my mom's buying a book too, so we can get free shipping. I'm hoping she'll let me buy Of Men and Angels too :D

Lark: Sounds like a pretty fun time! :D What was the reason behind not liking "Born Again" live? The song itself, the fact that Dawn sang the girl part instead, or what? :) That's probably one of my top 3 favorite TD songs.

Queen Susan, I think you're the first person (other than myself :p ) that I've met who likes Lecrae! Far Away is an awesome song!

Awesome!! I thought I was the only one here who'd even heard of him. :p *laugh* But that's really neat! Glad somebody else likes him. :D The only CD we really have by him is "Rebel"... then we have "Far Away", and a few songs by 116Clique that he sings/raps during. ;)) Anyway. Glad there's somebody else out there who likes him...
And as I mentioned before, my older brothers have been to a concert w/ him, and they really, really enjoyed it.

GtG: It was at http://www.ustream.tv/therocketsummer . It just finished, he did a live chat with questions and stuff. It was awesome.. he showed us the new music video, and it looked cool, if in a slightly weird way. :p He's performing and acoustic set or something at 6PM EST, but I have to get to school. :(( :((

It's the 23rd, so Of Men and Angels is out, in Japan! :p I wish it would hurry up and be delivered, but at 6:45 in the morning, I doubt it. :p
