After Listening to all of Tobymac's new CD my favortie songs are:
Tonight
Hey Devil
Funky Jesus Music
Showstopper
Changed Forever
Wonderin'
I liked the radio version of City on Our Knees better then the CD version. I didn't even know there was a defrence until I heard the CD version.
I Love the whole CD!
The Value of myth is that it takes all the things you know and restores to them the rich significance which has been hidden by the veil of familiarity. C.S. Lewis
Lately I've been kinda obsessed with Flyleaf I'm beginning to not notice the odd dancing and the scary guitar player
^^lol. I need to listen to more songs by Flyleaf. I love All Around Me, I'm So Sick (which really creeped me out the first time ), Fully Alive, and Again.
Check out this interview w/ Bryce: http://www.hopecore.com/magazine/index.html
He states that Of Men and Angel's is "definitely [his] most spiritually charged record." I'm really stoked.
Me too!! That interview is awesome. All the ones that he's been posting on twitter recently have been really good. I can't wait for it..
I'm kinda sad.. because I discovered that there were previews of Lifehouse's new album's songs on Amazon MP3, but their new style is so.. different. There's a couple of songs that I could see myself liking once I listen to the full versions. But apart from that.. I dunno. They're practically all love songs/breakup songs.. whatever. I was really looking forward to it, but now I'm disappointed. Maybe it'll just take a bit of getting used to.
On the other hand, Starfield's previews on Amazon were pretty good, so I'm looking forward to that.
TAN seem to be moving through volume 6 pretty fast.. so.. yay!

"Scary guitar player"? Uh,yeah! I saw "Again" and I was like:
But it was late last night,so maybe I should try again later?
In case you couldn't tell by the avy,I'm kinda going through a Paramore obbsession. I LOVE "Decode" even though it was used for stupid Twilight.
Somebody mention B. Reith? I love his music! Even though I've only heard "Wish That","The Comeback Kid","I Know",and "Breathe." "The Comeback Kid" made me lol the first time I heard it. "Wish That" is probably my fav.
This is a really late thanks to Winterlife for the advice about Family Force 5! Hopefully I'll find some of their music soon.
Well, I've been listening to TobyMac's CD constantly for a day, and really like it I wasn't too impressed with City on Our Knees either (it's a good song, but they really overplayed it on the radio, so I'm ready for something new, and preferably a lot more "rock out-ish"), so I was hoping the rest of the album would be great, and it didn't disappoint! I really like Tonight (John Cooper and TobyMac...need anything else be said? ) and Wonderin'. It was really cool how the different songs had different feels that really suited both John Cooper and Matt Thessian, Tonight was kind of Skillet-like, and Wonderin' was kind of Relient K-like, which was pretty cool. The other songs I really liked were Funky Jesus Music (which I love for some reason, it has an awesome beat! ) Captured, Start Somewhere, Showstopper, and Get Back Up. I also love Truett's song Loudn'Clear He should get his own album sometime!
He may have been discussed already, but I just got B.Reith's new CD and love it!!! One of my favorite albums...Anyone else like him? "I Know", "Mess", "Wish That", and "Just For You" are his best songs, methinks.
Was "Mess" his single that came out? I got that as part of a Creation download and liked it, and also "Go On" which I think was part of the Forcast EP. Anyway, I downloaded the free songs from it on Amazon and am looking forward to it
This is probably going to sound pretty stupid, but what is an EP?

now that I have heard Tobymac's new CD "Tonight" a few times, these are my favorite songs:
"Tonight"
"Changed Forever"
"Hey Devil"
"Loud 'N' Clear (Trudog 10)"
"Funky Jesus Music"
I love the whole album! it's Tmac's best album yet!

Right now I'm really liking Wonderin' from TobyMac's new album, for obvious reasons. I still need to check out most of the others though.
Aslans Country, yeah, all the interviews are awesome! He keeps posting a lot of them
About Flyleaf, obviously from things I've said before they would not exactly be my favorite group but I do like some of their songs. (Yeah, don't get me started on the guitarist or the "creepy dancing".. I'm better off not talking about these things ) Again, All Around Me, a lot of the lighter songs, and even *gasp* I'm So Sick (I like the chorus.. and the screaming doesn't last too long.. so I can tolerate it)
Nice, Lark. I really should listen to some Paramore if I'm going to hear them w/ RK. I still need to talk to my mom. I haven't gotten the guts to do it, even though it shouldn't be that intimidating I just need to hurry in case the tickets sell out soon..
Greenleaf, EP = extended play. Basically it just includes more than one single (a few songs), but is too short to be considered a full-length album (LP).
^^ "Wonderin'" is pretty good, but it's almost sad.....

Ah, that makes sense, thanks I always thought it was acoustic versions of certain songs or something like that
I haven't completely dug into the lyrics yet. I just love Matt's vocals
Me either, I'm still in the memorizing stage I love how him a TMac are in such harmony when they sing...their voices just sound so great together, as does his and John Cooper's. It's especially cool considering Matt, John and TMac all have such unique voices.

Very excited right now. I just got back from the Christian bookstore near our house. My mom was taking too long so I checked out a section of the store I hadn't before-and I found "mmhmm" by Relient K for only $8!! My first RK CD!! I'm so happy!!
Greenleaf: Yeah, their voices really do sound good together. I just downloaded it from iTunes so I should be listening to it more now
AWESOME Lark! I hope you enjoy it! (I know you will!)
Btw, if anybody wants to download Deas Vail's Shoreline for free (legally), it's on their purevolume. http://www.purevolume.com/deasvail Just click the download button next to it.
Yay for Lark! You just made one of the best purchases of your life!
greenleaf23: I completely agree with everything you said about TMac's new CD.
Kat: I know I love that quote . I think I might have slightly parapharsed it *doesn't know it from memory quite yet* . Oh and Matt's harmony on Wonderin' is amazing! I just love his voice, but I think that's clear already Thanks for the Deas Vail link, I'll have to download it
I was sad today b/c my mom went to a Christian bookstore today and didn't get TMac's new CD for me even though I asked her too
edit: Leeland has their CD Love is on the Move on sale for $5 through Valentine's Day! http://leelandonline.com/blog/entry/-5- ... ian-stores
this is a great CD!!! I reccomend it to anyone
My Pandora station played Relient K's cover of dc Talk's song Between You and Me tonight. I'd never heard it before, but always liked the original. Now I'm going to commit musical heresy and say I like Relient K's version better.
I love "MMHMM"!!! I had never heard "Be My Escape" before(except for Kat's cover of it) and it was awesome!! They're all good though. I really like "Maintain Conciousness." Such a fun song! Now I'm going to have to re-do my blog playlist..again!
@Gtg: I'd buy "Love is on the Move" but I already have it,and unfortunately I don't know of anyone else that likes Leeland.
@Kat:Oh.goody! I don't have any Deas Vail music on my iPod. But I will soon!
Lark: yeah I'd buy it too but I already have it as well . I think I know a few people who would like them but not necessarily buy the CD . Btw glad you like MMHMM. It's like my favorite CD of theirs (I go back and forth between that, Five Score, and FANSD... ) . I know I've redone my blog playlist so many times I usually just schedule a new playlist every few months . Unforunately alot of the songs I would like to put on there are not on playlist.com
My stupid computer won't let me download the Deas Vail song . Is there anyway someone could email it to me? *pretty please*
