So does anyone like Britt Nicole? She has two albums out: Say It and The Lost Get Found. They're both super awesome.
By the way, the lyrics in my sig are from Britt's song, The Lost Get Found.
I love Britt! I don't own her first album but I got The Lost Get Found a few months ago and it's one of my favorite albums. She has an amazing voice and real talent... even in her live recordings her voice is beautiful.
I am really liking the Brothers at Sea EP and so I mentioned it on the Switchfoot forums. Somehow the guys from Brothers at Sea found out they were being discussed on the forums and posted this:
... 9065438270
Haha, that's funny MissAravis. Now I feel "famous" since I'm the "friend on another forum." I wonder how they figured it out. They're pretty good huh?
I just can't get over how amazing MuteMath is. They are really something special. 'Clipping' is so great. They're a new favorite band.
Wait... you don't like Needtobreathe?! They latest Cd I like two songs so far,
but I love their Cd: The Heat! it's amazing!
I tend to not like southern-influenced music because it's just not my culture or my taste, but maybe I'll listen to them some before the concert.
You should listen to more Seabird. Their first album is some of the best piano rock ever made.
Yeah, for some reason I am really liking them. Haha yes you are!
I dunno, they might have some sort of way that tells what websites referred to their link. I know youtube does that for videos.
Gosh, I keep meaning to listen to more stuff by MuteMath, and I keep forgetting. One of these days...
*peeps in* I lurk in here a lot, and steal recommendations all the time, but don't post very often, as by the time I listen to what's on my look-up-and-listen-list, the conversations have moved on.
Some random thoughts:
This is the Fireflies remix that is on the bonus version of Ocean Eyes:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=84dh-vYZKeY
Which is only offered on iTunes. *pouts* I'm not that impressed with it actually; I much prefer the remix of "Hello Seattle."
I do greatly enjoy "Butterfly Wings" and "Rugs From Me to You." "Sunburn" and "If My Heart Was a House" don't seem as good, but I'm not sure yet about IMHWAH.
I seem to be one of very few people on here at least who like Lights
I like what I've heard so far; I got "Saviour" as a free download off Amazon and I'm still trying to get a feel for if I really like her or not before I buy an album or single tracks. Do you have any favorites?
Kate, I got Seabird's Rocks into Rivers for $5 (digital album) on Amazon, after having gotten "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" for free and being intrigued by it. I do like the band, but I'm not in love with the album. Is their first one better, worse, or equal?
I've really just been listening to a bunch of recommendations from here, I have snagged a few nice deals lately, such as a copy of Eat, Sleep, Repeat by Copeland for $6.00 at a used book store.
I also had been waiting to buy an Anberlin album and then found Blueprints for City Friendships for fifteen dollars on Amazon (again digital album), which is basically the first three albums for five dollars apiece (at least, that was my reasoning to self). I am upset with Windows Media Player for lumping the tracks all together (there's three track #1's, three #2's, etc.). It messes the flow of the individual albums up, so I've got to find a loophole for that.
Also, is Mae's (a)fternoon EP available anywhere? I've only found the CD on their website, and I was hoping to find it on Amazon or somewhere I already shop from. I've not been able to locate it elsewhere, so I'm not even sure if it's been released yet?
*shuffles back off to lurkdom*

Thanks for reminding me to look into getting a MuteMath album. "Typical" is a great song (both musically and fun-ness as a Rock Band song), and I really liked "Armistice" (sp?) when someone linked it for me some time ago.
Anyways, for those who saw the Super Bowl and are fans of The Who, what do you say?
I think they're doing quite well, considering how long it's been since their big days and how they've lost two of their key members. Granted, while Zak Starkey is no Keith Moon, he does a fine job on his own; it helps being the son of Ringo Starr (drummer for The Beatles) and having been taught by Keith Moon himself.
Overall it was a nice performance and the special effects helped it along, too. Well, so much for dying before they get old...

I downloaded the Brothers At Sea EP.. it's growing on me. I never would've gotten to like it if it wasn't free, so I guess it's a good thing it is.
"For Being Brave" is probably my favourite.
(Off topic - Kat, through going to the FB link, I discovered that we have the same name. lol.. yes, it took me that long to figure out what 'Kat' stood for. )
Does anyone like The Fray? They're, like, the only band in which my musical interests cross over a bit with my school friends. That, and Fireflies.. but that's an exception to the rule.

@ narnian1, Yay! Another Needtobreathe fan! My sis has their CD "The Outsiders",but my favorite song of theirs is "Washed by the Water."
@Kat: I saw that on facebook. I'll check it out after school today.
@Aslans Country: I've heard of The Fray, but I keep confusing them with Daughtry.
Did anyone see that commercial last night where "Dream Police" by Cheap Trick was on a commercial? I was so excited when I heard it! I still can't believe I recognized it! (btw, for those of you that don't know Cheap Trick is a band from the 80's)
I probably listened to "By Your Side" at least 20 times last night. (and my reason has nothing to do with the Superbowl )
how do you download that EP? I don't know where to click
I don't like Needtobreathe, although I've only heard on song of theirs. I just don't like the guy's voice or their style...*shrugs*
cool about FB Kat
I downloaded TobyMac's newest single "Funky Jesus Music" last week but I didn't get to listen to it until Saturday b/c I got a new computer and the iTunes on it wasn't working so I couldn't put it on my iPod...but it's working now. I have to say I absolutely love that song, it has to be my favorite of all four singles he's released . It's fun and cool (and plus in the podcast they show truDog I finally saw how he looks like !)
I've only heard one song by MuteMath on a WOW CD...I don't even remember what it's called...
Cool shirt TP I need to get an SF shirt . Do they use Zambooie for their store? b/c if so I have two 10% off coupons
Glenstorm: See the music player? Next to each song is a box that says "download." Click it! If that doesn't work, I have a different link I can give you.
Stardf: yeah, "Typical" and "Noticed" are great off of the first album and then I love most of the music on Armistice. I'll be honest, the Superbowl party I was at was too loud to allow listening to The Who.
MissA: I think Brothers at Sea is very likeable. They don't reinvent the wheel, but they do what they do very well and their music is very accessible yet sophisticated.
LadyLiln: Look at you and your impeccable taste in music! Of course, I only think that because we seem to have similar taste. Yes, yes, and yes, 'Til We See The Shore is better than Rocks Into Rivers. The songs "Apparitions," "Black & Blue," "Cottonmouth," "Maggie Mahoney," "Not Alone" are all just amazing. And yay for Copeland! And Anberlin! Good grab of Blueprints for City Friendships. I thought it was stupid of T&N to release that, but it worked for you! You pretty much got all their worthwhile music; I hardly ever listen to New Surrender. May I recommend downloading iTunes? It's a fabulous program and shouldn't have the problems of Windows Media Player. And it makes it easier to buy music (though I'm not sure that's a good thing). Mae's (m)orning EP is available in hard format and mp3 format at Amazon.
Fireflight's new CD comes out tomorrow! I can't wait!
and Tobymac's does too.....

The songs "Apparitions," "Black & Blue," "Cottonmouth," "Maggie Mahoney," "Not Alone" are all just amazing.
I love those songs! I love the song Let Me Go On! It's really funny, it's about how they had a hard time making songs. I also love Rescue!
I can't beleive that beautiful shirt is already sold out! No!!!! I need to get a SF shirt...
