Paramore is considered by tons of people to be really good. I haven't listened to much of their music, since I just don't listen to a lot of secular mainstream music. They're much, much more popular than basically any of the other bands we discuss in this thread. The members of Paramore are Christian, although their lyrics don't really show it (Hayley got into a mess w/ Christian fans over the song Misery Business because it takes God's name in vain). But stylistically they're kind of like Relient K I guess...alt rock/pop punk/emo..?
I don't know anything about fun. I've been meaning to look them up for a while.

maybe I'll go, although that's too bad about that song. I don't normally let things like that slip by...

hehe I was right- my hours of RK music on my iPod did go up :D ! Before Christmas it was at 4.2 hours and now it's at *drum roll please* 7 hours!!! And I haven't even received Anatomy in the mail yet so once I add that it will be like an extra hour :D yay me!!! :p

Yeah, although Hayley did write a blog later apologizing for taking the Lord's name in vain - she said she didn't want people to stumble in their faith as a result. So I respected her for that.

By the way, to anybody who is considering buying Rk albums, on www.gotee.com right now you can buy any of Relient K's albums for $10 (or the apathetic EP just for $5) and 100% of the profit goes to help Haiti. Pretty cool.

Lol... after Christmas and all those iTunes gift cards, I searched out every single Relient K random song and got those... and then by some luck I acquired their old EPs and 1998 demo... so now I have 12 hours of Relient K in my library

I have finally calmed down.....Falling Up may be no more, but I am okay with that now......sort of. :((

Anberlin's song "Haight Street" has been stuck in my head for 3 days straight! :D I keep hearing it.....it's the kind of song that I can't get out of my head!

Erm.. so I guess I should get more RK stuff? lol..
I've got Five Score, MMHMM, TLDMAR..BTD, the Apathetic EP (I love In Like a Lion! The acoustic versions kinda bored me a bit, to be honest.. but then again I haven't listened to that much. Plus I was expecting Who I Am Hates Who I've Been acoustic on there, which I love, and it wasn't..), andd.. I Celebrate the Day. Which makes for about 3 hours.
I actually like what I've heard of the first 2 albums, and the thing is, they're both cheaper on iTunes than FANSD.. but I don't have enough gift money left to buy both the first two.. so I might settle for FANSD.. ugh, I'm not sure. Honestly, if I could afford it, I would buy all their stuff.. because I think I'm turning into a huge fan. Okay, here goes.. *makes a split second decision*
FANSD is downloading on iTunes right now. *crosses fingers and hopes for the best* ;)
It's kinda exciting.. because I haven't heard the songs more than a couple of times, and a few not at all. As opposed to everything else that I've listened to death on Youtube.

By the way, to anybody who is considering buying Rk albums, on http://www.gotee.com right now you can buy any of Relient K's albums for $10 (or the apathetic EP just for $5) and 100% of the profit goes to help Haiti. Pretty cool.

Aww.. that would be awesome, but I'm pretty sure it's only for the US. 8-|

On a different note.. I guess this is somewhat embarrassing to admit.. but I sorta just discovered Casting Crowns, a couple of days ago. :p I mean, I'd heard a couple of the songs.. but I just really fell in love with Who Am I, and then a few others that followed.

Can someone recommend me a few Anberlin songs? I've seen it mentioned a lot on here, thought I might give it a go.. :)

Avie by flambeau.

Haha... Yay Aslans Country! :P Yeah, their first three albums used to be even cheaper (5.99) when I got them but recently they went back up. Five Score went down from 11.99 (when I got it (-| ) to 7.99 though so it evens out.. xD
From an objective standpoint F&NSD is much, much better than the first two albums. But I love the messages in Anatomy (and even in their first album) even if they're goofy at the same time. I dunno, they're really so different that you can't even compare. Oh yeah, WIAHWIA acoustic is on the bird/beesides or it's also released in a single version.
Well let us know what you think of it! :P It's definitely a grower. There are a few tracks that stand out immediately, for me If You Believe Me was the main standout (I don't know why, because I've heard several people say it's their least favorite), along with the title track and the closer.
Haha, it's okay, about Casting Crowns. I'm way behind with most of this stuff too ;)) I didn't even give Coldplay's "Viva la vida" a full listen until a couple months ago. =))
Some of my Anberlin favorites are A Whisper & a Clamor, The Unwinding Cable Car, Retrace, Alexithymia, Breaking, and of course their most popular song, The Feel Good Drag. I love Stephen's voice!!!

Oops, I feel bad, GtG, for causing you to spend all that money ;)) But at least it's going to a good cause! I'm thinking about buying Five Score or MMHMM as a gift for one of my friends, but if I am I'd better do it soon.. their debut album's already sold out...

I absolutely love Casting Crowns.
I've seen them twice in concert and have their 5 CDs.
Who Am I is the one that got me started on them. My brother was like "I got to show you this song!" and just with the first line I knew I loved it. And I enjoyed much of that first Cd.

Then came Cd #2,
another great one! This time the one that blew me away was Praise You In The Storm. I have the Cd/DVD copy of this one and when I heard the story behind the song, I was like "WOW!" amazing backstory. And just recently I was listening to the countdown for my radio station- they pause for "heart of the matter" where they read a letter from a listener. This listener wrote about a difficult time, but the end was just beautiful! made me teary-eyed and all, I'd have cried if I didn't hold it all in. The song that helped her through that time was said song.

Along came Cd #3,
what can I say? AMAZING Cd as well. what I love about this group is the lyrics to their songs, and then the way the carry them out. This Cd has some pretty impressive songs, but none come close to East to West IMO.
Now that is a powerful song!! Truly amazing.

Christmas Cd- #4,
I finally got this Cd last year and even here they have some great songs!
Just amazing all around. Never let me down.

Finally Cd #5 ,
The title track is great, it just made #1 at the billboard charts. I needed some getting used to it though. The Cd has some great songs in it. But this time, the one that just left me in awe was If We've Ever Needed You. It's by far my favorite of the Cd.

heheh and i got the debut one! :p ...yeah I didn't really have the money to spend but I had been wanting to donate something anyways so I just debated the logic in my head as giving money and just getting a little something in return :p . Where did you get the All Work No Play demo? Can't find it on iTunes...*wants 12 hours also :p *

on Casting Crowns, I have their third CD and I really like it. I want to get Lifesong too. My mom has their first CD and I hope she buys their new one and the Christmas one sometimes... :p . They're pretty good, I like them alot. But they're like Chris Tomlin in the way that they're not one o fmy fave bands but they have some great Christian songs...I just don't listen to them all the time (that place is for RK :p )...

I love Chris Tomlin! Seen him in concert twice as well.
I won't go into detail with him like I did with CC but I love his music just as much. How Great is Our God is my favorite of his!

Relient k I enjoy,
they have some great songs and I have two of their Cds with some singles off others. But I wouldn't say they're among my favorites.

I love Chris Tomlin's version of Amazing Grace!
And I agree the video is nice- I have it actually, with my copy of Amazing Grace, the Walden Media movie released in 2007.
