MissA: Have you listened to the whole new CD on AbsolutePunk.net? I'm listening right now.
I totally just came to this thread to talk about that. I am LOVING it. This Is The End is really beautiful... the piano sounds amazing. I've only listened through the whole thing once now though so I'm going to listen a 2nd time now to kind of get a better idea of it...
Really though I am so happy. It's like good ol' Relient K except better.
One song I recently listened to is "Held", by Natalie Grant. The song really spoke to me; it's so incredible and so comforting to know that no matter where we are in our life, no matter what we're going through, we're in GOD's hands, the safest place we can be.
oh yes!
it took me a while to appreciate that song,
then one day I REALLY listened to it for the "first" time and WOW.
It just happened to me with another of her songs "In Better Hands"
I've liked the song, but just saw it's music video and finally grasped the meaning of the song. Much like Held, beautiful lyrics.
I also like soundtracks from corpsebride, harry potter , narnia , anastasia, peterpan 1 & 2,phantom of the opera, and august rush.
I love August Rush! It was so inspiring, and it gave me chills at times. The music was awsome.

I can't put the top 25 on my ipod b/c the ipod I use is the whole family's so not everything on there I listen to and my computer with my itunes broke so I can't even put the list from there. But it was mostly BarlowGirl and Narnia. Now I listen to Stellar Kart, BarlowGirl, Relient K, tobyMac, Josh Groban, and various soundtracks. I like a lot more people but those are my favorites.
I used to not like Skillet b/c I thought they screamed to much and I didn't really like John Cooper's voice. But I couldn't stop listening to them yesterday (on youtube)! I love their music- they're not as heavy metal as I thought. I really like their lyrics and the tunes. Cool stuff My friend will be happy that she finally converted me and my parents will now be listening to rock all the live long day

definitely,
I loved the movie. And it's score-
it's one of three that I own on CD, the other two being Narnia: LWW & PC.
While I do love other scores,
I try not to buy them. The three I own, I played out in its day!

Hm, yeah... I may have thought the same thing, but now I don't know why I thought that... they rarely "scream" depending on the song. 😉 And seriously??? John Cooper is pretty much my favorite singer!! I don't know, I kind of like the... um... Don't know the word for it. But I like his voice.
Anyway, I'm glad your friend converted you too. 😉
(And I was listening/watching them on youtube today...)

Hi Kate,
The music I listen to is pretty varied.
Here are the genres my list belong too (most don't belong purely to one genre but are a hybrid of two or more).
There's some pop, folk, ballad, reggae, R and B, hip-hop, rap, cultural music, orchestral, electronica, punk, rock (variations of), metal (variations of), heavy metal and many more in my collection.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
I listen to almost everything, but my top 3 are Coldplay, Scooter, and Enya.
I just started listening to Jeremy Camp. He's a contemperary christian singer.

meep i'm sad my parents don't want me to listen to skillet
Why? The members of Skillet are faith-filled Christians. They sing about tough issues but from a God-centred perspective. Nothing offensive there.

JUST? not sure which you are listening to,
but the latest CD has some great songs (There Will Be A Day best of all),
but if you haven't already go back to his older CDs, excellent all the way through
My sister loves Skillet, but it is funny because I went to a Skillet concert before she liked them very much.
