I know, I'm intrigued! Btw, his wife's named is Tara. So he's telling his wife he's terrible...

You know how he found it? A friend of mine's dad who was his youth pastor a while back(I think I mentioned this a while ago on this thread) emailed it to him. So I really need to thank him for doing that, lol.

That's so nice of him! You have connections to peeps! By the way, I bought the rest of Mmmhmm! My Girlfriend's Ex- boyfriend sounds like an interesting song! I already read the lyrics though, and it's really good. I'm gonna listen to it, right after I finish Vice Verses! oh, I can't wait...
EDIT: I was listening to Which to Bury; Us Or The Hatchet, and there's that last part that's kinda slow. So, it went to the first part of Let it All Out, and I thought it was still the first song. I was like "Man! Matt could go on for FOREVER!". Then I looked, and it was over one minute of the next song. lol! Those parts sound almost EXACTLY the same though!

YAY for getting all of mmhmm!!!!!! Haha, yeah, I thought that too at first when I was listening! But now I really like that some of the songs lead right into each other. Like those two and then Maintain Consciousness right into This Week the Trend. Which to Bury and Let it All Out are really great right next to each other because they provide so much contrast.
Kat: I hope you're writing original music young lady. If you feel led toward a career as a professional musician, I'm starting to see the groundwork for a path into the industry being laid down. What kind of people get an opportunity to play live with RK before they even form an official "act"? Just you sister. Check out how many people "liked" your stuff!
I went to my University's showing of the documentary "Call & Response" about human trafficking around the world. I highly recommend seeing it. I first heard about it when I went to InterVarsity's 5 day missions conference in St. Louis, MO over Christmas break. Essentially, the documentary is musician Justin Dillon's quest to learn about modern slavery and to combat it with music. It featured performances by a great number of artists, but some of the "NWeb favorites" were Switchfoot and Imogen Heap. I knew Switchfoot would be in the picture somewhere.... It was right up their alley and also featured their friends from Nickle Creek.
Ohh yeah, that is the album cover. I thought the concept was really cool, but they didn't pull it off as well as they could have. Here Bryce explains the concept: http://www.altpress.com/news/8375.htm
Oh yeah, cool concept. I think the cover looks okay.. just the text is kinda weird. But yeah, they could've done it better.
Yeah, I like MMHMM more. I'm not sure about the 'a lot', really. I haven't really listened to either of them enough to fairly make a decision.
On youtube this one dude with the username "imsoboredidk" has uploaded all of it so you can listen there. Their older stuff is a lot goofier, less refined in terms of musical material and yet at the same time in their older albums their lyrics mention Jesus/God a lot more so I like them for that reason...
lol yeah, I've listened to a lot of songs thanks to that guy. And I agree.. FANSD, although I haven't heard all that many of the songs, seems to not reflect their Christian-ness ( ) so much, at least not through the lyrics. I'm going to listen around for a while before deciding on what to do..
Ocean Eyes is 'available for preorder'. Coming out in March..? The ironic thing is that it's on Japanese iTunes. I'll never be able to get it right.
I agree with TP, interesting song titles.. I'm particularly curious about 'Japanese Exchange Student'.. lol. I didn't realise M&A was going to include the 3 songs from You Gotta Believe. But that's cool.

WOW. Since, like, September, when I joined this forum, you've had your covers noticed by SF, RK and TRS? I'm seriously tempted to go record myself playing some song by one of them and get it noticed. Except I don't have nice friends like you who get you noticed. And I'm not half as good. Anyway, congrats, again.
Twenty- Four, The Beautiful Letdown, and Stars. They won't let you down, unless you don't like slow (24), Medium (The Beautiful Letdown), or fast (Stars) songs.
I actually already have those songs, love all three, especially Twenty Four.
Just went to iTunes to look up The Beautiful Letdown (album) and discovered that there's actually only 5 songs on there that I don't own. I guess I already have all the hits on The Best Yet.. so is it still worth buying the rest?

Their last one is just the Cubin' with Schneck podcast.. which isn't bad.. but it's not terribly exciting I guess it kind of tells you everything about Schneck though.. all he ever posts on his facebook/twitter are things about cubing
Haha, yeah.
*hasn't been on this topic for a few days...* This topic goes fast.
Kat: Concerning the post about your cover: Awesome!

Congrats!! I wish I had connections like that in music; the only connections my fam has are with football(my dad was a football player).
TP:
Thanks for the link(I know it was meant for GtG, but I just had to click on it!). The guys in SF are so funny. I would love to meet them someday.
And Edmund P hasn't yet responded. I don't think he gets on anymore...
I now officially own The Best Yet!! I had already gotten it from the library, but my Dad bought it for me last night at Barnes and Nobles(have I mentioned how awesome my dad is?). I spent the entire ride home telling him the history of each song, and he seemed to like the tracks(I could tell because he was drumming out the rythym on his steering wheel(he used to be a drummer)).
I think I dreamed about SF last night. I can't remember exactly, but I would recognize Jon Foreman anywhere(even when I'm asleep).

last night (Jan. 14, 2010), I went to a concert at a Christian night club called Ground Zero! the bands that played were Borderline Eleven and Christian rapper Bobby Bishop! I met Bobby Bishop! during the concert, he threw a CD into the crowd and I caught it! he is an awesome rapper! but ya''l may not know who eitther Bobby Bishop or Borderline Eleven are because they are both from New England (USA)!
but if you know who they are, please make it known!

I have a recommendation. Shirock. I can't say that I actually really like them that much, because they're a little too smooth for me. But I think they could become a favorite of some of the members here. They appear to be Christian-influenced piano-based melodic pop/rock. "Still Young" is pretty good.
And I just want to say that Crash Kings and Melee are awesome. If you like really awesome piano rock, check them out. Check out Crash King's "1985" or "My Love" and Melee "Built to Last" and "You Got". They're just so satisfying!

Yep, I heard about it a week or two ago and checked it out...and hopefully I'm planning on going Now that I finally "know" Skillet it should be great! Yeah, they had an amazing female singer on tour with them to sing the solo parts in songs like "Boomin'" and she was fantastic as well. And of course with Audio Adrenaline after that it was super-amazing
