xD That's how I felt last year when I got a bunch of people into TAN :P

You converted SO many people! It was amazing! I remember the day I was converted. Good times... :p

AWW! That totally stinks. That's how I felt in October when RK came and I had to play the harp at like 4 concerts... :/ I hope they come back near you soon!!

It's actually a serious illness called No Concert Depression. Or NCD. :( ;) :D :p

Yeah, I had heard a few already... those two, The Shadow Proves the Sunshine, Stars, and Happy is a Yuppie word. Stars has the best intro ever B-)

Cool! Stars does have an AWESOME intro! I wanna be able to play that someday... B-) The Shadow Proves the Sunshine is really good! He actually did the vocal take singing into a grand piano! That's why it sounds all echo-y. So creative...

YES!!! hahah! I've converted you all!! *evil laugh* :p Aren't they amazing???

xD That's how I felt last year when I got a bunch of people into TAN :P

I've never felt that really. Usually what happens is that I recommend a band, and the only person who responds is Kat because she knows that we have some consistant overlap in musical choices. If she likes it, she says so, and then all the people who have more overlap with her check it out. Sometimes they like it. That seems to be more or less what happened with Deas Vail anyway. And maybe Copeland. :)

My newest love is the band The Hoodies. The name is a little bit lame, but they are filling the whole that Acceptance left. They are so good at smooth rock hooks.

I'm surprised all you Switchfoot junkies didn't own Nothing Is Sound because that's one of the only ones I have. I bought The Beautiful Letdown about 5 years ago (sheesh! that's scary!) and then bought Nothing Is Sound when it came out. Sometime after that is when I more or less stopped listening to them, but I always liked "Golden" and "Daisy." I need to find somewhere easy to download or borrow the music from because I actually bought the special delux version with the flip-side DVD and my computer won't read the mp3s. :-s

I might be seeing Tyrone Wells in concert soon-ish. He's pretty good. I don't really know how to classify him. I'll just say melodic rock. "Sink or Swim" reminds me of The Jakes. (Who just changed their name to Young the Giant if anyone was wondering).

high is SOOOO much better. on a guy. if you're a girl i think alto is better than soprano

;)) Ok, well, that's your opinion. ;) *laugh* My two favorite singers are Josh Groban and John Cooper... They have quite different voices. And styles. :p But yeah...

Yep, I like the CD!! The only song I don't like is "Real To Me"... the theology is a little lacking. :p ;) I like theology, and it's great! So I don't want to get rid of it. :p If you've heard the song, you know what I mean--probably.
Anyways, thanks again! :D

well that's true. and i do LOVE their voices (trust me, I love them, I've always been a HUGE Josh Groban fan...and I like Cooper's voice so much more than I used to... :) ) but I prefer Matt Thiessen and Wes Blaylock's voices. i love them so much more...my mom said it's b/c I like feminine guys ;) :p (which is not true! X( :| 8-| ).

mmm yeah i know what you mean...that's kinda why i got rid of it...some of the songs on there were not fully there...idk :| . Plus i didn't love her voice or the tunes so i'm like "hmm if the lyrics aren't that great either, it's not worth having...". but feel free to like (or love :p ) it. i just have way different taste than i used to... :)

if you don't like 'feminine guys' then don't listen to Anberlin! Stephen Christian has a voice so high that he is almost a soprano! :D but I think his voice is awesome!

The Pendragon: I don't know this for a fact, but I think you and I both converted everyone to Switchfoot!

;)) Although it's really not "converting".. because it's not like anyone was anti-TAN before. More just like, getting people into the group because they saw TAN in my signature and weren't familiar with them. ;))
Which I think is sort of the same with me and Switchfoot. I certainly never disliked SF, I just never bothered to listen to more of their stuff until other people mentioned them.

Haha, I definitely have NCD, then.

Ah! That's why it's echo-y? That's really cool about The Shadow Proves the Sunshine. Very creative.

Kate: Right, I think that's what usually happens. Speaking of which, the rest of you guys should start listening to Mae. :P

I really like the song "The Shadow Proves The Sunshine!"

I am SO impatient right now, wanting Fireflight's new CD "For Those Who Wait" (kind of an ironic title, eh? lol! :D )!

MissAravis: I have heard Mae and I honestly don't like their music.....

YES!!! hahah! I've converted you all!! *evil laugh* :p Aren't they amazing???

Yes they certainly are! Actually I converted myself, if that makes sense :- I just picked up the Best Yet at my local library(becuase it had This is Home on it), and next thing you know I was running around town singing Oh! Gravity and The Beautiful Letdown at the top of my lungs! *sigh* that was a good day.

don't you hate/love it when something clicks and you fall in love with a band? ugh...just happened with switchfoot. i can't stop buying their songs off of itunes...I'VE BEEN CONVERTED!!! which is not always a good thing when you already have over 20 CDs to buy...now i'm dying to get HH and TBL and NIS...ugh :| :-o :(( (-| 8-} :p ;) :D ;;) . you're love is a song has me sooooo addicted right now- i've listened to it 30 times today already!!!! am i insane? 8-} ;;)

No you are not. You should've seen me when I heard 'Only Hope'. Now that's what I call an addiction.

But I'm gonna cry! Switchfoot is performing near me TONIGHT!! & i CAN'T GO!!!! NOOOOOO! :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( I am not happy. :(

Oh my gosh I feel your pain. I went on a cruise this summer, and when I got back I found out that Switchfoot, Casting Crowns, and Sandi Patty had all been in town while I was away. :(( That was a terrible day. And then a few months later David Crowder came to my church and that was the one night of the month my parents couldn't take me anywhere(they both had meetings).

But if Switchfoot comes to my town again and I miss them, I will go into mourning for the rest of my life.

We outghta start a Switchfoot club. Anybody game?

Glenstorm: Haha, that's ok. ;)) I like 3 of them at least, all of which I've heard before, and two which we already own I think. "Brave" and "What If". "Real To Me" is the only one I would probably skip, and though they don't necessarily stick out, it's easy listening if I'm doing school and would like some background music. *laugh*

Liberty: Not sure I'm converted to Switchfoot yet. I haven't listened to any more of them then I used to. ;)) I've probably only heard five of their songs... Maybe seven. *coughs*

Hm. The only song I listened to of theirs was because of Kat--"Your Love is a Song"... ;))

I only listened to Hello Hurricane b/c Kat and TP seemed to like it so much. I had heard Beautiful Letdown way before. I actually haven't heard much else yet, though I have NIS and Oh! Gravity out from the library right now...I don't know why I didn't fall in love with them til now, lol :p ;) :D . And I'm definitely up for a SF club! Now to make room in my sig... :p ;)

Kat: Mae is on my listen-to list. Along with Anberlin, Falling Up, Copeland, Freelance Whales, This Beautiful Republic, The Wedding, Jimmy Eat World, The Letter Black etc....

hmm I think my mom is going to kill me if I buy any more stuff off of iTunes. I've downloaded more than 60 items since Christmas :p ;) :D ;;)

Liberty: Well, I don't really like Skillet or Hawk Nelson that much, so I think we have different tastes ;)
GtG: I just think you'd like Mae since you seem to like Deas Vail so much.
QS: Yeah, listen to the rest of the CD! :P

I have a lot of music to buy but I don't want to buy it to quickly because then I don't appreciate it as much.. lol.

Are you kidding? I LOVE Deas Vail!!! Just bought the White Lights EP today :D . *happy sigh*

I think I might buy HH. There are a couple other CDs I want to get w/ with some more of my Xmas money so I might get them off of CBD. Maybe they're on sale :D :p ;;)
