I don't mean to double post... but I'm so happy right now...... I've been crying for the past 5 minutes. I was looking at my twitter feed, and saw a post by Jon Schneck from Relient K. He had tweeted a link to my F&NSD piano cover ( http://twitter.com/JonSchneck/status/7465377943 ). Well, that made me happy enough. But then I logged into my youtube only to find a message from him as well:

"Hey, This is Jon from the band Relient K, just wanted to say that you have covered some of our songs really well. You are very talented. If you ever come to one of our shows, you should let me know and maybe you can perform with us! Hope you are well, feel free to stay in touch, [he attached his email address]"

Yes There was No Thief is soooo pretty. I just bought it yesterday and it already has 25 plays!

I'm really hoping my CDs come today. We got 3 packages in the mail yesterday but only one was for me and that was just a calendar I got from Barnes and Noble . Oh well, hopefully they'll come today...I'm kinda wishing I ordered Bird and the Bee Sides as well...

GTG: that's so weird that you said that about There Was No Thief! I just came here to say that I am now in love with that song & Curl Up & Die! They are SO good! I almost cried during There Was No Thief! I really like the album The Bird and The Bee Sides. Oh, & I also like Deathbed. amazing. Especially since Jon plays Jesus at the end. Lol!

I just came here to say that I am now in love with that song & Curl Up & Die! They are SO good! I almost cried during There Was No Thief!

Ahh, another Curl Up and Die lover. Those are my two fav songs on Bird/Bee Sides.. two OF them at least Curl Up and Die is really sad and beautiful. I love the chord progressions... and the acoustic guitar is so soothing.

Edit: hey, GtG, remember how you mentioned Jon and Ethan not thanking God in the booklet for F&NSD? Well I was just reading Jon's old blog and I found him write this on Valentine's day: "today is a day when you are supposed to reflect on things you love. i could list a million things on here, starting with my god, my wife and going on down the list..."
so that made me feel better, lol.

Btw, Jon and Chad from SF did a chat yesterday. I missed it but someone recorded and put it on Land Of Broken Hearts. It's really funny, and Jon said that he is going to be releasing some more solo stuff! YES!!!

Yay!! See, Relient K has a ton of different styles. Faking My Own Suicide is a lot more laid back and not so punky. Haha, some people don't like Faking My Own Suicide because the whole idea isn't too Christian.. but Matt said it's based off of a movie called Harold and Maude where one character fakes his own suicide to get someone's attention. So I felt better after I heard that

I didn't catch that when I heard it. I though it was like Fake Your Own Death. I was actually thinking of that song when I heard it, which it has a totally different meaning. To "fake your own death" it's like dying to yourself and your own flesh. it goes:

You can fake your own death
And live the life you've always been afraid of living
Fake your own death
And come alive
Fake your own death
And live the life you've always been afraid of living
Fake your own death
And instead of dying start to live your life.

So, different, & I think that Jon's makes more sense.

It kind of is. & Fake Your Own Death isn't out yet. Jon has played it at a couple concerts. You get the mp3 from a concert here. Land Of Broken Hearts is very convenient!
