My current music obsessions at the moment though are Superchic[k] and Group 1 Crew. Off Superchic[k]'s latest album Rock What You Got I like best "Hold," "So Beautiful," and "One More."
Off Group 1 Crew's Ordinary Dreamers my favorites are "Movin'" and "Keys to the Kingdom." Off Group 1 Crew my favorites are "Can't Go On" (the first song I actually heard of them), "Forgive Me," and "Clap Ya Hands."
Ooh, I like both Superchick and G1C.
"Hold" is one of my favorite Superchick songs. It's the only one I own off the album--then we just own the "Beauty from Pain" album.
All the G1C songs you mentioned are my favorites as well! Though I don't know if I've heard "Clap Ya Hands"--that'd be the only one I'm not familiar with that you said.
Liberty: I haven't seen Krystal Meyers videos or anything, but just because you like one band better then another, if they dress/act the same way, it's wrong for both of them, not just the band/person you don't care for.
I'm sure you know that though. And--I really like Skillet. Can't compare 'em to K. Meyers, since I've seen nothing of hers.

Queen Susan: oh, don't worry, I am not just sticking up for Skillet because I love their music.....I don't always agree with everything Skillet wears, but I think they dress better than alot of people......
Krystal Myers' videos look alot like vieos by secular artists, and that makes me sad since she says she is a Christian, but she dresses and acts like people that I don't watch or listen to (secular artists).

Oh Krystal Meyers is a Christian alright. Her dad's a preacher and most of her songs have overtly Christian themes. Honestly, her music videos are ten times more modest than other secular music videos I've had the misfortune of seeing.
EDIT: Her clothes are ten times more modest than those peeps in those videos too.
Queen Susan: YAY! From the Beauty From Pain album, "Beauty from Pain" is my all-time favorite song. It (along with other things) inspired my first NaNo novel of this year (the one that I dropped due to writer's block). I hope to finish writing it sometime in the future though.
Meh, I was going to give you a vid of "Clap Your Hands" but I can't seem to find a good one of the song. Oh well. If you get the album you'll be able to hear it.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Ryan: I know that she is a Christain.....alright, we don't agree. we should probably just let this discussion rest!

Ryan: Mm, maybe I can find a vid on youtube, or listen to it off of Rhapsody or something.
My faves off the Beauty from Pain album would be:
Stand in the Rain (though it can be overplayed by some radio stations)
Beauty from Pain
Courage
and... can't remember if there was another "top" one or not...
Beauty from Pain (the song) is really awesome though, IMO.

I just had this huge disapointment. There is nothing under the tree with my name on it that is shaped like a CD. But considering what my sister pust a CD in last year, I guess I may still be getting one. If not, it will be the first year in four years I didn't get a WOW Hits CD (my method for discovering all of my favorite artists).

Queen Susan: "Courage" is also a favorite of mine! It took a while to get used to the "feel" of the song, but once I did I really liked it.
"Stand in the Rain (Acoustic Version)" is very nice. You should check it out! It's on the Rock What You Got album.
I also really liked "Pure," "Bowling Ball," (which kinda helped me get over this crush I had ) and "One Girl Revolution (Battle Mix)."
"So Beautiful" is such an encouraging song. I like to listen to it when I'm having one of "those days," if you know what I mean.
P.S."Brooklyn!"
Winterlife: Aw, I hope for your sake you get a CD! Last year I got a DVD or someone, found the biggest gift bag we had (it was huge!) put a bunch of heavy books on the bottom, and the actual gift in the middle with tissue paper. Nobody guessed what it was.
"So Beautiful" reminds me of "One Girl Revolution"... Dunno why.
I like "Bowling Ball" too! It's just kind of catchy.
I also like "Crawl" by Superchick.
*listened to Clap Ya Hands and liked it*

winterlife - I had the same disappointment yesterday..
My mum put the last of the Christmas presents under the tree.. and I looked, but there's nothing the shape of a CD, or anything that could potentially contain a CD.
There's still my birthday soon after, though.
Two years ago my dad wrapped two DVDs for me in the oddest shapes ever, and I was all disappointed because I thought I hadn't gotten them, and then I opened it and there were all these random bits of cardboard.
Oh, I just remembered, there's an envelope that could contain and iTunes card or two...

winterlife: the WOW CDs are my way of discovering new artists too! I actually don't buy the CDs, I buy the music video DVDs! they are awesome! I just got the WOW 2010 one last month!

Also I'm listening to Lights, Aly and Aj, Paramore, Barlow girls and Fly Leaf.

There are now several more presents under the tree. One has my name on it, and is the same size as a CBD box I spotted earlier but wasn't allowed to open... I have a little more hope now.
