I don't see much in common with SF and HK either, like you said Pendragon, although I do think Hawk Nelson is a lot like Relient K was in earlier years, and their music is pretty similar. I think Hawk Nelson is getting a little more deep though, but their not-deep stuff is something I always enjoyed for some reason. I like deep, poetic stuff, but sometimes I just want to listen to music and not have to think deeply and philosophically about the meaning (although I'm not really sure philosophically is even relevant to that statement )

I do agree with you there though, that song tends to really annoy me. That and "14" are ones I tend to skip.

Yeah, that's all good and everything. Now look at the very end of it, it says this:

"A former band member, Scott Sanders, is a 2002 PBA graduate. Sanders recently left the band, and a new member, Ruben Juarez, has come on board."

FORMER band member!? Scott? Former band member!? I can't believe he's leaving the band! It's so lame! It's weird too, because their website says nothing about it. And they just recently did a video introducing Scott.
This is all very weird now because I'm wondering if Scott's not being on their tour when they came to Iowa has anything to do with his leaving the band.... (funny thing is, after that tour ended, I saw facebook fan pics from the next tour, and Scott was touring with them).

Gosh, I am so sad right now, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself! Scott was like the coolest play-the-piano-and-bass-at-the-same-time person EVER

OK, that's just a sad as Peter Furler leaving the Newsboys. I'm not sure what else to say, as others have pretty well summed it up.

As long as he's not the lead singer I'm fine with it.
It happens to most bands at one point or another. Third Day I believe has gone through it, Casting Crowns recently went through it as well.

Selah lost the lead singer, which made a big difference though the new is good.
Newsboys, was tragic for me and I still don't know how I'll hold up to their new music.

BUT I feel for you all who are distraught by this

Guess what, guys?!? I might get to go to an Owl City (with special guests: Lights [If you don't know who she is and you like Owl City you should definitely check some of her music out!], and Deas Vail) concert with my sister in a couple of months!!!!!!!!!! Ahhh! I'm so psyched! I'm not sure if my Mom will let me or not, but hopefully I'll be able to convince her to let me! Can't wait!

I just heard from one of my other friends that this Ruben guy is the bassist who subbed for them at one of their concerts when Scott wasn't touring with them. Yes, Scott may not be the singer, but I love each member so much!

I guess it really is unavoidable with any band though...

in other news, I read what ya'll said about Hawk Nelson and it made me sad to hear ya'll being so against them!
I love their music and I met them at Skillet's awake And Alive tour and they are SO nice! I am a HUGE fan of Hawk Nelson! there! my two cents!
