when I hear the song "It's Not Me It's You" I think of it as the band talking about satan and how it's not us, it's him. like with the lyrics,
"Let's get the story sraight/you were a poison/you flooded through my veins/you left me broken.....it's not me it's you......"
see what I mean? if it sounds hateful, it can be for good reason because we hate the devil!

I don't know if that is really what it means (granted, I'm not even familiar with the song, but I have met Skillet and they have a reputation for being theologically sound). The fact is, it is us — we can't pass the blame and say Satan made us do it. I would be really surprised if that is what that song is saying!

From what I can tell, it sounds like an abusive human relationship.

I haven't been on here in a while . I just got a bunch of free songs yesterday because amazon had $3 worth of mp3s for free! And since almost everyone in my family has an account, I was able to get 12 songs! Yay me!

THE LIST

Hero, Skillet: I bought this after seeing the music video a few times and really liking the song. It's a great song and even though God is explicitly mentioned, you know the hero they're singing about is God by this line "I've got a hero living in me"

Awake and Alive: a great song! I hadn't heard it before I bought it but now I'm addicted to it!

Monster: I had heard this song before and seen the music video and I like it alot, a great expression of common feelings.

How Deep the Father's Love for Us: I love this version!

Meteor Shower, Owl City: an awesome song! It's only fault is that it is WAY too short.

Tip of the Iceberg: a cute Winter song for when the snow is falling (as it should be soon... )

Do You Feel, The Rocket Summer: I broke down and bought it .

The Lining is Silver, Relient K: Correction, I have heard this! They played it at the concert! I love it!

Terminals: yay now it's available for single purchase, unfortunately it's not as good as I thought it would be...

Sanctus and Orinoco Flow, Libera: I mostly bought these for my little brother who loves to dance to them. They're nice to listen to too though .

Letters to the President, Hawk Nelson: not as good as I thought it would be but still good.

'Tis So Sweet: I love the way they sing this! I just wish there wasn't that female bgv.

Live Life Loud: fun song!

That's How You Know, Demi Lovato: I like the way she sings this song .

Great choice of Hawk Nelson too! Their new album is really good I have to say I really liked Letters to the President though, what didn't you like about it?

I just downloaded one that I have been wanting for a long time but never really felt like I wanted to pay for it.. Take Me As I Am by FM Static. Great song! Agh, now I have to decide which other 2 to buy. It's extremely difficult. I'm deciding between a few things by Copeland, Owl City, TFK, Jon Foreman, Switchfoot, Anberlin and The Rocket Summer, (yay for getting Do You Feel, btw! I've listened to it to death - 73 plays baby ). No Relient K, since I pretty much own all their stuff that I want ...which is a ton.

Got my three songs:

Phil Wickham- Eden
Kutless- It Is Well
David Crowder Band- Eastern Hymn

each from their respective latest CDs.
each also the second song I buy from each Cd.

So I finally decided on which other 2 songs to get(gosh, it was hard) and I downloaded Strawberry Avalanche by Owl City and Birds by Deas Vail. Birds is amazing, Wes Baylock sings REALLY high.

We have two accounts, so I got:
"Meteor Shower" by Owl City
"Fireflies" by Owl City
"Vanilla Twilight" by Owl City
"Don't Give Up" by Josh Groban
and "When You Say You Love Me" by Josh Groban.
So yeah. I kinda like Josh Groban's music... At least some of it.
