About Faking My Own Suicide... yes, it does have some elements of country music in it. While I think it's kind of terrible if somebody actually DID what the song describes, ;)) the lyrics are really pretty clever.

Random: Today Mike Donehey posted this on his twitter: "Death Bed, by Relient K. Unbelievable." Yay, he likes RK! ;)) Or at least, one of their songs. That made me smile.

don't want you to go ignored, I read the full post.
Sadly I don't even know who the Wiggles are so I can't join in with you.
Glad you did have a great time though. ;)

Awww, that's so sweet of you. :p I'm most unhappy that you don't know who the Wiggles are though - I do hope my post enlightened you. ;)

The Wiggles are an Australian group of children's entertainers.
I never grew up with them (after my time) but I can see why they're popular. They're exceedingly popular with children here (and it seems overseas as well). The stage looks pretty impressive.

Yes, I was a little surprised by how many people from my boring little city flocked to see them. Although, I would assume that there would be a lot more people going to see them in Australia. Considering their popularness, I'm still kind of shocked that they even came here in the first place. :p

(I would just like to mention, particularly to anyone who might think that my fondness for the Wiggles is strange, that I saw two teenagers by themselves at the show B-) )

It's not strange. There's an Australian children's entertainer from the 80's by the name of Peter Coombe and he was immensely popular back in the day (the first CD I ever received too). Today many of his fans have their own children but there were several Peter Coombe concerts just for his adult fans. Several of my friends went and said that they had a great time singing along.

Neat! And yeah, I really like "Deathbed" too... ;)) Even though it's super long! :p

GtG: Yep, that he is. My mom really respects Mike Donehey but she doesn't really like RK, so I hope she sees that twitter update. ;))

I recently shared Deathbed with a few of my friends who wanted to hear some RK songs and none of them liked it :( A couple said it was "okay" but they didn't like the lyrics at the beginning or it was just boring to them :P

I don't see how anyone couldn't like Deathbed. It made me cry so many times when I first started. It's a really...well, I'm not quite sure how to put it.

my friend says it's morbid "because they are singing about death." :| That song is so nice, it's what made my mom tolerate Relient K ;) .

just wanted to say that I love the new Kutless song: What Faith Can Do

something about sounds familiar though,
as if I have heard it before, or atleast heard another song with the same rhythm.

Beautiful lyrics :x

"Deathbed" disturbed me the first few times I heard it, until I grasped the real message. Now I cry almost every time I hear it. Especially since my grandfather was, for decades, heavily addicted to "liquor and nicotine," until a couple years before he died. That's when God really got ahold of him and he became one of the fiercest prayer warriors I've ever known. Anyway. I love how Jon Foreman got to be the voice of Jesus.

*has "Summertime" by Mae stuck in her head*

Does anyone else think it's a little bit weird that Peter Furler has passed the Newsboys torch? I think it's interesting that Michael Tait is performing with the band instead.

This is your start/This is your heart/This is the place you were born
This is your sun/These are your lungs/This is the place you were born
And I am always, always, always/Yours

Yeah, about Deathbed, the first couple times I listened to it I didn't really understand it, and I thought it was pretty depressing and didn't like the part about "I smoked until I threw up" etc. But like Hathaway Standalone said once I grasped the message I appreciated it so much more.

I don't know anything about the new singer for the Newsboys, but I did hear that Peter was leaving the band, and I think it's kinda sad. For me, his voice is what made the Newsboys who they are. But ah well.

Sorry. Newsboys is the first band I was ever addicted to.
Wait a sec, did I just have my first public fangurl freak? :-o OK, I really am still a teenager. I thought I had skipped that part of my life.
