How Great is Our God being the #1 choice for me.
We sing How Great is Our God at church almost every Sunday. It's one of my favorites, too.
Another song we sang at church before we moved was The Blessing by John Waller. I had seen Fireproof, but don't know The Blessing and While I'm Waiting are both by John Waller, until several months ago. I really The Blessing, but I prefer the way we sang it at church to the CD version.
For these who like Third Day, could you recommend a CD to start with(with exception of Christmas Offerings )? I like to track the price on various sites before I buy.

Third Day?
They have MANY great Cd's.
If you want the easy way to most of their greatest music:
Chronology Vol 1 and Vol 2,
most of their greatest hits are on those, although some great songs were left out.
Once you have those you can determine which Cd's you'd like to give a better listen to. Trust me, you will want more than just those two volumes.
Also: their Revelation CD, their latest, which was released after both volumes of Chronology and therefore aren't included in those.
listening to it now: I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me,
Surely there are fans of this group and song in this place?
and their other many great songs:
Love of God,
Shine On
Here With me
Homesick
God With Us
Word of God Speak
You Reign
I Know
Finally Home
Cannot Say Enough
No More No Less
Something About You
Keep Singing
Hold Fast
So Long Self
Coming Up to Breathe
Grace Tells Another Story
Goodbye Ordinary
and many more...
Also for Casting Crowns fans, I just saw the listing for the songs on the new Cd which releases next month on the 17th:
1. Until The Whole World Hears
2. If We've Ever Needed You
3. Always Enough
4. Joyful, Joyful
5. At Your Feet
6. Glorious Day (Living He Loved Me)
7. Holy One
8. To Know You
9. Mercy
10. Jesus, Hold Me Now
11. Blessed Redeemer
12. Shadow Of Your Wings
According to amazon.com,
I enjoy the first song alot, great song, but I am expecting better from the rest.
Who Am I? in the first Cd, Praise You in the Storm in the second Cd, and East to West in the third were my favorite of each album. Each has MANY other great songs of course.
Just heard a piece of all of them,
sounds great! I'll definitely play it out in no time, as I did the others.

winterlife: It's a song by Mae that was released on the EP (m)orning. It's a wonderful song about an encounter lead singer Dave Elkins had with the living God. I recommend checking it out on youtube to hear it all the way through. It emcompasses several musical ideas. Parts are slow, others are harder, and some are just plain catchy.
FINALLY!!!
I have found my favorite Crystal Lewis song in english!
I've had it in spanish for years but as I have moved on to mostly english I have been getting my fave of hers from spanish to english and only one was missing!
Title in spanish: A Dios Sea La Gloria
Translated in english: To God be The Glory
Every time I have searched it, I had no luck. Never in her music history, which I found odd. All songs I have found with that name are this song from a hymn book, a song I've never heard.
Finally today I found two songs with said title but the proper song,
the samples were nice so I checked youtube to see if I'd like all of it by these other singers. no luck. I bought both tracks. Didn't like.
So I went back to iTunes and searched Crystal Lewis again,
this time song by song and found it.
Titled: My Tribute
the spanish/english titles are not proper translations at all!
that's why I was thrown off.
Needless to say,
for my iTunes collection I will give it the name I will remember: To God Be The Glory. I will never remember otherwise.
My brother just got "Beauty from Pain" in the mail today. Although Superchick isn't my fave, I do like quite a few of their songs--mostly "Beauty from Pain", "Stand in the Rain" and "Courage."

Casting Crown's new Cd:
At the moment my favorite is "If We've Ever Need You" listening to it now for the 3rd straight time.
Cd's not out yet but I was contacted via Twitter by Crownfans,
they are showing the songs, prior to the release.
only two are available to listen to in full,
(aside of the already released title track).
I won't call it my favorite as there is still all the other songs I need to hear, Nov 17 can't come soon enough.
and I've made up my mind to definitely go to Wayfest:
Casting Crowns
Matt Redman
Barlow Girl
Superchik
DecembeRadio
Vota
and more...
*just learned that Kutless is coming out with a new CD tomorrow.*
Hm. I wonder if my older brother would like it for his birthday. This CD seems to be... calmer, whereas my brother prefers their "rockier" music.
Besides, I have no money for a brand new CD.

So, the Saturday before last I saw the Wiggles live. The reactions I get when I tell people this have been rather disappointing. People either don't reply (online), they give a rather negative reply (also online), they giggle in a shocked sort of way and then change the subject to, like, shopping (real life) or they hem and haw and say "Oh, don't they have a stupid TV show?" or something along those lines (real life also). I find this horrifying. For one thing, the Wiggles themselves say they have a surprising amount of teenagers who like them from people who grew up as fans, and for another, their songs are just so catchy. You see?
Anyway, the concert was delightful. Last year my parents had a slight lapse of sanity and considered taking the whole family down to see the Wiggles live in like Kelowna or Vancouver or somewhere, but that would have been horribly expensive, so we didn't. This year, it was still terribly expensive and unaffordable, and we weren't even going to go at all. But! My dad phoned up my grandparents who were coming up for Thanksgiving anyway, and got them to agree to pay for two of the littles, and then Mom and Dad would pay for to more, but then the tickets ended up being about $20 cheaper than they were advertised, and we really thought there was no reason we shouldn't go in the first place, so we all went, and I feel it necessary to relate all of this drama because we very nearly did not go.
I had to work until 3:30, so I came in 40 minutes late (the show started at three), but it was all lovely anyway. No one remembered the camera, but my granny had her Blackberry so I made do with that. Only two pictures actually turned out, but at least there's pictures!
See?
In case you people with deficient childhoods are confused, that's Jeff, Anthony, the Monkey Man (possibly Wags the Dog - I can't really tell ), Sam, and Murray.
It was lovely. (I already said that, didn't I?) It was sad that the Yellow Shirt Guy was Sam and not Greg (*sob* He was my favourite!), and I kept thinking of Sam as Greg as first, because of the yellow shirt and his dark hair and the distance, but I managed to get over my initial dislike of Sam after he sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star". He sang it beautifully, and it was amazing. Of course, the very, very best part was when they sang "Play Your Guitar with Murray" because that is my favourite song.
I look forward to seeing if there are other NarniaWebbers out there who like the Wiggles.
My apologies for the long post.
(In other news, I tried to get Owl City's new CD for $10, but the store was sold out. But, when I asked the guy at the counter if they had any Owl City CDs, he didn't quite catch what I was saying and ended up telling me "Oh, I thought you said 'Owl City'" as he typed something into the computer... so...?)

don't want you to go ignored, I read the full post.
Sadly I don't even know who the Wiggles are so I can't join in with you.
Glad you did have a great time though.
The Wiggles are an Australian group of children's entertainers.
I never grew up with them (after my time) but I can see why they're popular. They're exceedingly popular with children here (and it seems overseas as well). The stage looks pretty impressive.

I'm currently enjoying the Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack by Karen O' And The Kids (so I can tide myself over until the movie comes out in Australia, December 3).
It's an interesting blend of nostalgia, melancholy and the whimsical.
Here are streaming audio samples of the soundtrack.

The full songs are available to listen to on YouTube but if you do that, be sure to buy the CD.

Queen Susan, I've got the new Kutless CD in my hands and have been playing it throughout the past week (a perk at working at our local Christian bookstore ). The title? "It Is Well" and I am very impressed. The title track (first song) begins in such a cool way. Plus it's probably my favourite hymn of all time. Yes, the CD is calmer than their usual fare, because it's a Praise & Worship album—a follow-up to "Strong Tower". I hope you get a chance to pick it up someday.
narnian1, do you know a 2010 release date for tobyMac's "City on our Knees" CD? I haven't heard an exact date yet—just that it is to be released next year sometime. Yep, good song!

great soundtrack!
I bought it as well. Worried Shoes I think is my favorite, but I love it all!
But there's also the original score soundtrack,
there's two separate CDs- I found out today.

Sorry I don't know,
I didn't even know we had to wait until NEXT year for it.
I hoped it would be released this year. that is too long a wait.
