I didn't know Mae was a Christian band until a couple days ago, which made me happy! I loved "The Sun and Moon," but thought the lyrics were just randomness.

Switchfoot and I are like movies and popcorn. When I was about 8 I loved "New Way to be Human" on the WOW 2000, but had no idea who sang it. A few years later, I fell in love with "This Is Your Life" and the Nothing Is Sound CD I bought my mom. I wanted to buy myself "Dare You to Move," and, being naive, saw "I Dare You to Move" and bought Learning to Breathe instead. Eventually I collected almost all of their albums, but nothing from Jon. :( I ought to check his stuff out more...he seems like a thinker. Like a rock star Socrates.

And hey, I liked his hair in the "This Is Home" video! ;) He's had quite a few hairstyles over the years, and I love him in all (well, most...not the Learning to Breathe days) of them!

Miss A: I did. :) And I'm glad you liked the songs. I would now encourage you to try Deas Vail. Their recorded songs don't capture the amazingness, but they're still really good.

Hathaway: Mae doesn't like to be classified as a Christian band, but it's usually assumed that the members of the band have personal faiths. They're back in partnership with Tooth and Nail, a Christian label, and their newest song "The Fisherman Song" has very Christian-themes. It's also a great song.

I've heard one song by 7th Day Slumber-- "Mighty To Save"... I like it. :)

I have Mighty to Save by Michael W Smith,
I wouldn't change it for Seventh Slumber. great song!
(Hillsongs, and others, also cover the song).

I love Mighty to Save. Before we moved, we sang it at church almost every Sunday. I have heard Laura Story sing it and I think I have heard Michael W. Smith sing it as well. They were both good.

I have been listening to Christmas Offerings by Third Day on YouTube. And yesterday I ordered it from Amazon. Can't wait for it to arrive! Christmas Offerings is the first CD I have bought that isn't a soundtrack or by Nicole C. Mullen. ;) Ah, how much fun it is to broaden the horizon, musically! B-)

Oh I would love to have someone sing it at church, not me as that is NOT my talent. I'd sing along though. There's actually alot of songs I'd like to hear in church:

How Great is Our God being the #1 choice for me,
but I go to a spanish church and most people won't understand them.

Occasionally we do sing english, but only those that also were done in spanish,
so we trade off from spanish to english and back.

That's why I love my concerts :D
I go to english speaking/singing concerts only.

By the way, does anyone else love BarlowGirl?

I'm a little late but YES! :p They have so many great and meaningful songs and their CDs are getting so much better as they go along.

MissAravis: yeah when I first heard Skillet I didn't like John Cooper's voice but you get used to it and after a while you like it. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to listen to their music (like I posted here before) so it doesn't matter that I like his voice now :( .

New favorite songs: "City On Our Knees" by Tobymac and "Alive Again" by Matt Maher. Listened to them over and over again.

Skillet's a little intense for me, but I do like a couple of their songs, like "The Older I Get" and "Whispers in the Dark."

I've only heard a bit of Skillet unfortunately, but I like "Whispers in the Dark" and a few others. They recently came out with a new album didn't they?

I just got a free iTunes download with 10 Creation songs on it, and I'm super happy :D :P There's one song I already know, but there's a few others that I don't that sound pretty cool.

I'm liking Hawk Nelson more and more every time I hear them :D I don't know what it is, they just have the right mixture of funny songs, serious songs, slow songs, fast songs, great lyrics and great music.

I know you didn't ask me,
but that's the latest single from Toby Mac, it's been out from a little over a month,
and just went to #1 on the billboard charts, christian singles category. Great song!

Only the single has been released, CD is not out yet.

I only got to see HN in concert once, but it was really cool too Liberty! That's when I started to get into their music. They're awesome in concert, and even though I didn't get to meet them they seemed really nice. Another great concert band in Superchick, I got to see them twice and both times they were amazing.

Ohh, I'll have to go check that out, thanks Narnia1! I love TobyMac, I hope his new album comes out soon :D

Oh yes, I like "City on our Knees"... :)

greenleaf: Yep, Skillet just came out with "Awake". It has quite a few songs I like. :p Which, um, isn't surprising.
