On RelientK: I think we have 3-4 of their albums: But I don't know what the title of the earliest one we have is... I liked their older stuff too--not sure what I like better, old or new.
Liberty: Coolness!! Aw, you didn't get to meet Skillet? Not even shake their hands or something? That's sad. The only Hawk Nelson song I know is "Let's Dance"...

Oh yeah I meant to ask this too, Glenstorm: did they have a meet and greet afterwards? Did you get to meet them?
Greenleaf: Those are good songs from TBATBS. My favorite though is There Was No Thief (it's a re-done version of "The Thief" from the Apathetic EP, which is a great EP btw). Here I Go is pretty good too... I love "The Vinyl Countdown" also, it's so funny! (it's from one of their older, hard to get EPs).
Well, last night I stayed up til 1:30 getting Relient K's album on iTunes... it was showing up at the iTunes store at midnight, but for some reason it wouldn't actually let me buy it until later. So I just kept waiting and waiting... *yawns* then I got up at 7 so I'm tired.
My friend has been asking what to get me for Christmas. I may hint to her that Relient k has a new CD out...if I can wait that long.

We start listening to Christmas music the first of October, so that's what's on my mind now.
My favorite Christmas CDs are Christmas in Black and White by Nicole C. Mullen, Christmas with You by Clint Black, Joy by Avalon, A Christmas Story by Point of Grace, and The Magic of Christmas by Garth Brooks. I also like Rose of Bethlehem by Selah and Christmas Songs by Ferando Ortega.
Lamb of God and 365 are my favorite songs from Christmas in Black and White, but I don't like it when my brother is in the room when 365 is playing because he sings it "365 Lays" (like the potato chips!) instead of "365 Days".
My favorite songs from Joy are Joy to the World, Jesus, Born On This Day, and We are the Reason.

@ Kat - No, I haven't listened to it yet. I hate ruining the surprise for when buy any CD (another thing my sister gets on my case about ).

Glenstorm the great: THAT'S AWESOME! How many of the new songs did they do? Did they pull out some old stuff? Was it the three hour tour w/ Copeland and Barcelona?
I'm really really really bummed because RK is coming to Iowa twice within the next couple months, and I have conflicts both times. (well, the first time isn't really a conflict, but the feeling I'm getting is that my mom doesn't want me to go because she isn't a fan of RK). :'(
Yes it was the 3 hour tour-so cool! I was so psyched! They did 3 1/2 new songs- the title track, Therapy, I Don't Need a Soul, and a shortened version of the last song on the album This Is the End. It was cool b/c I kinda knew the first and the third songs b/c I'd heard them on youtube (love that site) so I was able to sing a long. Unfortunately, although they're my fave band, I only have one of their CDs (Five Score and Seven Years Ago) and they only played two songs from that album but they played two other songs off their mhmm album and I knew those so that was cool. And they played some old stuff too (like three songs from the album 2 lefts don't make a right but 3 do). They also played to unexpected songs- Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid and “The $5 foot-long” song from subway! It was hilarious! When Matt introduced the subway song he's like "this is song is really stupid...but it's funny so we're gonna play it anyway." And then John and Matt kicked in with the guitars, with John W on bass and Matt holds up his hand and starts going "five...five dollar..."...you know the rest

I actually don’t know if they did. I had to leave right after the concert- it only ended at 10 pm but I put my little sister to bed at night and we lived an hour away from the concert so we had to leave right then. Unfortunately. And I think they did too b/c Copeland and Barcelona were doing a signing so I’m sure Relient K was going to too.
I just got Relient K's second Christmas CD from the library, even though it's only October, b/c I wanted to give it a preview before I buy it this week. I love it so far! They all looks so young in the pics, especially Matt T.

WOW! that's early to begin. We always begin the day after Thanksgiving Day.
Though this year I already am feeling the need for it, and Christmas movies.
I'll be waiting until November for the movies though, and after Thanksgiving for the music. I listen to all sorts of Christmas movies.
I love Mariah Carey's CD,
I love the classic Christmas songs- many which can be found in Now Christmas CDs. I also love my Wow Christmas CDs.
Snowangel: Whoa, that IS early to start listening to Christmas music! We start listening to it only after it's December..
Narnian1: We have 1 WOW Christmas CD (well, I guess it's 2, since it comes with 2) and I love it! I also love Relient K's Christmas CD "Let it Snow Baby... Let it Reindeer" (gotta love the title)
Winterlife: haha, well I completely understand that. I'll probably listen to it so much that I wished I had "saved" it for more time.

Awesome! Those are some of my fav songs from the new album. Lol, yeah they're all leaked on youtube now.

Oh, well that's a good album to have. It's pretty much my favorite of theirs, closely followed by MMHMM and F&NSD. That's sweet that they played some older stuff!
When Matt introduced the subway song he's like "this is song is really stupid...but it's funny so we're gonna play it anyway." And then John and Matt kicked in with the guitars, with John W on bass and Matt holds up his hand and starts going "five...five dollar..."...you know the rest
Haha that's hilarious!!! Man, gotta love Matty...

Aww! That's way too bad!! I wish you could have stayed. From what I've heard from a lot of other people, though, they definitely don't sign very much after concerts compared to how often they used to...
Oh, and I've seen those pics of them from their Christmas album. Matt does look really young - even though it was taken in 2007 (same year Five Score was released, where he doesn't look that young in the album art, lol). I think it's just his haircut
*sneaks in, as she could hardly call herself knowledgeable about music*
It's a little late to mention this, but on Monday Amazon had the new Relient K CD as an MP3 download on sale for $3.99. (I think it was a pre-release sale-thing.) Owl City had a link to it on Facebook. There was an extra song called Terminals which I believe is a collaboration between Relient K and Owl City. (Adam Young in definitely singing in the background, and you can definitly hear his "sound" in the song.) I think that's why he had a link on FB. Anyway, I took the opportunity to get it. It's the first CD of theirs I've owned and I like it pretty well. I love If You Believe Me. It reminds me of a book in a series I love:
Does anyone have any recommendations about other songs (by Relient K, or from another band that tends to be liked by people with similar taste) that I might like? I like finding new music to listen to all the time, so suggestions are great.
In other musical interests of mine, I've recently been watching AVPM on Youtube and "Goin' Back To Hogwarts" is insanely catchy. "And NO WAY this year anyone's gonna die! And it's gonna be totally awesome!"

She must confess to herself that she was not wise yet.

Ahh! That musical was soooo funny! "Goin' Back to Hogwarts" constantly gets stuck in my head.

We only listen to the music right now. Christmas books and movies come after Thanksgiving. *reminds self that patience is a virtue* Yes, it's kind of early, but it's a family tradition. We typically mix our Christmas CDs with our other CDs until sometime in November, depending on the weather. (If it snows, we have to listen to Manheim Steamroller!) Right now I'm listening to the Fireproof soundtrack, but Christmas in Black and White is next in the line up.
SnowAngel: Whoa, that IS early to start listening to Christmas music! We start listening to it only after it's December..
But then you only have a month and half to listen to it, if you start in December.

We start with Christmas music the day after Thanksgiving. Unfortunatly, the only place I'm allowed to listen to "Let it Snow Baby...Let it Reighdeer" is on my iPod. And I'm sick of Casting Crown's "Christmas Offerings" because I heard it five times a day for two months last year.

Ohh me too!!
I just checked on my iTunes and for the AVPM soundtrack and "Goin' Back to Hogwarts" has 15 plays and everything else has less than 5.
I love the other songs as well, though. Especially "Granger Danger","Not Alone" and "Voldemort is Going Down". "To Dance Again" is pretty hilarious as well, but even more so when I can watch the video at the same time

Kinda random here, but a lot of times I have to get a CD, and when I finally get it, there's another different CD I really want. Anyone else have this 'problem'?
