You can (legally) listen to Sanctus Real's new unreleased album here http://www.newreleasetuesday.com/albumpreview.php :D

Ooh,me loves it! :)
Argh! Too much amazing music! Can't...take...it... :P
"Legally" made me think of that guy who thought I bought a pirated version of "Healing Begins" =))

Guess what? I struck a deal with a friend of mine. I'm letting him borrow Hello Hurricane and Nothing Is Sound, and he's already copied The Beautiful Letdown for me and he said that he'd do Comatose, and Five Score and Seven Years Ago. And if/when I buy Forget and not Slow Down,I'm going to let him borrow it.

Kate: yeah I've read some of his lyrics and he's one of those people (in that respect) I wish I was born as ;) *sigh* I have such a hard time writing good lyrics.

Lark: I actually haven't heard it yet but last night I got an email that said it was available for listening so um I posted it :p . Maybe I'll listen to it later today, right now I'm too busy listening to TRS :p . I've gotten WAY too much music lately ;)

Cool about the CDs. Comatose is really good. So is Five Score :D

I got a $50 iTunes gift card for my birthday, and for the first time ever I'm not sure what I'm going to get with it. The largest gift card I've ever gotten before was $15. Oh, well, I'm sure I'll think of plenty of things. :p

I'll have to check that Sanctus Real link when I get home.
I just came on to say that I've got three songs that I am really loving now.
I've heard all three before, but just recently have I really begun to listen to them:

Switchfoot: Your Love Is A Song and Red Eyes
I really love them better than the two I had previously listened to off the Cd: The Sound and Mess Of Me.

The third song I am loving is Relient K's Sahara.
I think I like it better than Forget and Not Slow Down, not sure.

*this is aside of the brand new songs I've recently bought, both SF's and RK's Cd I have had since last summer when they released.*

I think I like Sanctus Real's new album a LOT better than their other albums. I was pretty disappointed with We Need Each Other. I'll definitely be buying this one.

Winterlife: Believe me, you will find a way to use that $50, and it will go faster than you would expect ;) iTunes gift cards are wonderful, but I use them like water!! :p

Kate: Ok, I think I see what you're saying. That's sort of what I had thought, but I wasn't sure. You're right, music can be very difficult to describe!

Narnian1: Sahara is definitely a standout from F&NSD. I would write more but I gotta go!

Lark: hey, I'm back! I heard you missed me.....I missed you too!

I have been listening to Tobymac's CD "Tonight" everyday since I got it! it's SO awesome!!!!!

I decided that I'm not as excited about Fireflight's new CD as I used to be.....I might get it sometime, but not now. :p

^^I'm glad I bought it too. I don't think it's as good as some of their other stuff though. I like most of the songs on O&U better than Healing Begins.

narnian1: glad you like Sahara. It's one of my favorite songs on their. I have three tied for first, Forget and Not Slow Down, Sahara, and This is the End (If You Want It). :p

winterlife: yay for you! I hope I get an iTunes giftcard for my bday too. $50 is alot, but you'll spend it fast, never underestimate one's spending abilities! :p

^^that'd be so cool! I'm really the only person at my church that's "in to" music so I can't see our church going to anything like that :( . But cool for you :D

Does anyone else think that "Roses" on OMAA sound kinda Relient K-ish? And on "I Want Something To Live For" the beginning guitar part sounds really Switchfoot-ish. And "Let You Go" sounds alot like "Wonderin'". At least the piano does. :p

Dove voting is available.
I just voted for Artist of the Year: Francesca Battistelli
New Artist I will not vote for because I haven't listened to any of them, except Johnny Diaz and I didn't like the one song I heard of his so it wouldn't be fair for me to vote for anyone.

I have a new guilty pleasure band. Ohio Avenue are an Christian indie band that makes music that sounds anything but indie. To me, their music sounds like a guy took over Kelly Clarkson songs and gave them an electronica feeling. They're sort of alternative, but sound really very mainstream. But they do what they do pretty well. I'm surprised that I like them. Listen to "Catch Me."

I also stumbled across SafetySuit which is a great alternative rock band kind of like One Republic or Acceptance. They also make really good kind of generic alt rock. The guy's voice is really really awesome. Now it's Operation:Make my rich sister like them so she'll buy the music.

Glenstorm: You're the only person at your church who's into music? I doubt it. How big is your church? My guess is they just probably aren't into the same music as you.

So I've never posted here before but I love music so I thought I'd join in. :D
Switchfoot, The Classic Crime, Needtobreathe, Mandy Moore, Hawk Nelson, and John Mayer are the artists I listen to the most. But there are countless other artists that I love.

Latley I've been getting into Hip Hop and R&B. I really like Jordin Sparks, Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Iyaz, and Jason Derulo. Soul P. is a great christian hip hop artist that I like. :)

I pretty much like any music though. Country, pop, rock, anything but hardcore.

Kate: When I was reading your post at first, I was thinking, Wait, isn't SafetySuit what MuteMath used to be called? But then I looked it up and realized it was Earthsuit, lol. ;))
I'll check out both of those groups!

*sigh* I just realized that you can only vote in two of the categories for the Dove awards. So I can't vote for group of the year... man! Or for the best album packaging! :P Oh well. I hope either TAN or RK wins in their categories. (I doubt TAN can win though)
