Do they accept those, I wonder? Probably only if they open audition...
I can only audition by tape as well because I'm not spending all the money to fly to England from America unless I know I have the part! But I could come for a call-back perhaps...
So how did you get started? I did by a school play I tried out for and got one line and then I did a church play where everyone got a part. The school play I was like 9 and the church play perhaps 12? And now I'm 17 1/2. I need some more acting! Oh, forgot: everyone at school (when I was public schooled) had to do this, I was like 11, and we were in French class and we had to recite the French alphabet whil acting somehow. I did mine where one girl was a waitress serving me and a friend and I hopped on the tables and started isnging the French alphabet and my friend picks up her plate and walks away. It was hilarious I put makeup all over my face...haha. So I was a one-liner, a shepherd's daughter and a crazy person!

Oh wow, you did start young, that is so cool! Wow, and 5!
I have a question for whoever can answer: how many agents, on average, do you have to contact before one will take you on?
And another: Will they take someone who needs braces but doesn't have them yet? With braces once they have them? My teeth are sorts rough but not really really bad, at least from the smile view...

*edit* more questions:
If an agent gets you an audition and you don't want to take it (because it goes against your morals, etc.) can you just not audition? Will an agent not like you because of the limited things you will work on (for example, I will not play an immoral character or anything where I have to kiss some guy I'm not married to!) BTW, I would not mind playing a bad guy, like LotGk or WW or something, just not an immoral-yet seen-as-a-good-person character. I hop you get what I mean...

They tend to ask you what sort of movies will you like or not like to do and they always ask you before they schedule an audition

Oh, so they will ask me when I sign, and I can tell them what I will not do (then hopefully they hire me!), then if they say, "Wanna do this audition?" and I say no, we just don't do it and they find me others??
*hopes that's what you mean and sighs in relief if*

Experience first, then an agent. Chances are that not many agents would be willing to represent you unless you have a little experience first. Auditioning for school plays and community plays are a great way to start. There may also be an art center or children's theater in your area that would be open to beginning actors. Some acting classes culminate in a showcase as well.
