From the first post in the old thread on the old forum:
So, I just read the latest news, and it said VDT could possibly be 3D. What do you guys think? I think it could work, and maybe bring in more people. As for me, I will be seeing the 2D on my first viewing, and maybe the second time I watch it, I will see the 3D version. If it costs more money, I'm rather against it. And if it affects the 2D version, I'm rather against it as well. Otherwise, I think a 3D version could work for Voyage, I just hope they don't overdo it.
As pogginfan put it, I hope they don't overdo it if this is true. A friend of mine returned from an 'Avatar' (the upcoming James Cameron movie) preview with sore eyes...
They should keep it in 2D, I think it would be better this way. It would lose the essence of the movie in my opinion.

2d or 3d ever wya i don't care. It just has to be a good movies.
I hope 3D is an option, movies are always twice as good in 3D, but it really doesn't matter.....
av / sig by me, PM if you want one
saw the movie opening weekend and cried at the end!
Jesus DIED for ME and YOU!
I still think I'd get seasick at a 3D movie about an adventure on a ship. XP I know for certain that some members of my family wouldn't go see it just because of the motion sickness.
If it's only done occasionally during the movie, I guess that'd be okay.
Everything's funny at one o'clock in the morning!
If they make a 3D version as a secondary option I'd be ok. But I personally don't wanna see it in 3D and know many people who don't. They'd severly limit their audience and flush a lot of their box office profits down the toilet. It should be made in 2D with a 3D option to release later for those who want it.
Everyone can appreciate 2D, not the same for 3D.
All hail Gertrude, the Narnian Centaur!
If they make the movie in 3D it has to have good effects not bad ones that look like they were made in the 1970's.
If they add 3D version as an option, that is fine with me. But it might kill the movie a little bit. Many movies these days (like Superman Returns (2006) and Journey to the Center of the Earth) are going 3D. Sure it may be nice to enjoy in a theatre (I don't know), but at home it can be a little difficult to enjoy. I don't really think 3D is necessary in this film.
Hopefully, they don't make it a major part of the movie.
I hope they offer both options, though I haven't heard anything recent about the 3D.
If they were still to make it in both formats, I'd see it in both.
The 3D doesn't necessarily mean things will pop out to the audience, like most 3D including some things in Journey to the Center of the Earth which I thought was nice.
3D could be much like in Up,
it just adds depth to the visuals and I sure wouldn't mind seeing Voyage as if I was part of the crew.
I think that could be good depending on how they do if they do it at all. Because you could add scenes that would be scary in 3D, or just the normal scenes with a cool camera angle.
I agree with what a few of ya'll said...3D a choice. Frankly, those 3D glasses hurt my nose and make movie watching hard for me. And I think the film might lose some of it's Narnia-ness if they made it 3D. If they made it a choice, yeah, I'd like that, but if you could only watch it in 3D, I don't think I would like that very much.

I don't think VDT is going to be one of those movies fox is goign to release in 3d. I don't really see it but who knows it could be.
Oh, please, NO 3D! I really loathe it. 3D gives me a headache every time.

I think 3D would ruin the movie!!!! No 3D
