Ping pong? Disco ball? Is this some secret language?

'Tis not a secret language, my dear friend, though I suppose it could be considered as such. Allow me to introduce you to modern conveniences, things which must be quite foreign to you simple hobbits.

I think your request for fireworks very reasonable, Daisy. We will have to see about procuring some; especially one like the dragon!

Master Fili, I'll have you know that we hobbits are on the cutting edge of farming technology. :p

Ah, that may be true, Sir Hugo, but you have not discovered the wonder which is the disco ball, and that is a sad fate indeed.

Well, than, master Fili, you shall have to bring one to the party and we shall see how wonderful it is. :) Though, if it involves exercise other than dancing, I'm not quite sure I'll see any appeal there...

Indeed. I shall bring one to the party at my earliest convenience, Sir Bracegirdle, and then you shall behold one of the world's greatest wonders. Prepare to be amazed.

Well, as anyone knows, a party on my birthday is always a good idea. I am planning a hobbit party this year again. :D :) :)

There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.

I suppose if the party's in the Shire, this means I shall be stuck doing border patrol to keep all you hobbitfolk safe. Shame. We Dunedain have some wicked disco moves.

So, disco on the border's edge! Nothing wrong with that. Entertain those who dwell deep within the outer boundaries. Betcha', though, that your moves are nothing compared to us Halflings! Quickbeam was actually a main influence here, who taught Pippin and Merry as they were waiting for that (-| Ent Moot to finish. Then they taught us.

I have some pretty wicked disco moves if I do say so myself. Perhaps you would be interest in a challenge, King Aragorn, when you are not patrolling the edges of the earth. Being a Ranger is a high and lonely calling.

I must admit, Samwise, that I had no idea hobbits could disco. Perhaps this is enough to redeem my faith in the hobbit race after all.

Oh, my good Dwarf, you would be surprised. We hobbits are very agile and dexterous on our furry feet.

I will admit that I am impressed by your claims. I should like to see such agile, dexterous, furry feet in action. Only then shall I believe your outlandish claims that hobbits can dance, of all things.

Then you have obviously never seen us dance the Springle-ring, rather vigorous, but very pretty.

No, I admit I have not seen you perform such a dance. In that case, I shall take back my earlier viewpoint that hobbits can't dance. However, I should mention that the Springle-ring is definitely not the same as discoing. Just because you can dance doesn't mean you can disco. I'm becoming more and more convinced that only dwarves can do that.

Master Fili, I must object to your comment. Though I do not doubt that you disco well enough after your fashion, the Dunedain are clearly disco masters. We practically invented the electric slide.

Fair King Aragorn, I respect your opinion, but I must offer my own objection as well. Can you Dunedain moonwalk by chance? No? I thought not.

Like I said, the dwarves are quite superior when it comes to this subject. However, we could settle this matter once and for all if you are interested in a dance-off. That is one thing to which I would not object.
