Welcome to *announcer voice* Hangman with Screwtape, with some slight adjustments to the rules to make it better suited to playing on a forum.
I will list several spaces that spells out a word or phrase that is related to or from The Screwtape Letters. Then you will guess a letter that is contained in the word or phrase I have in mind. If you guess a correct letter, I will fill in the blank. If you are wrong, I will indicate that you are wrong. If you guess the word or phrase correctly, then you get to be the game "leader" and choose the next word or phrase.
Note***If you need to place a space in the blanks, use * to indicate the break. Also, italicize any incorrect letters guessed.
RULES:
1. Only FIVE posts guessing letters are allowed between each time the author of the phrase/word fills in the guessed letters
2. Each person can only post ONCE in those five posts.
3. You do not need to submit a letter first before guessing the word or phrase.
4. If you guess the word or phrase, you may not post again until the author has posted that you are correct or incorrect.
5. You don't run out of chances....we play until someone guesses the word or phrase---EVEN IF ALL THE LETTERS HAVE BEEN DISPLAYED.
6. If an author hasn't posted in 24 hours, a Moderator will start a new one.
7. Only ONE letter can be guessed at a time and a letter can only be guessed ONCE during the course of the round. You will need to color your letter text, e.g. Z or place it inside punctuation e.g. "Z" because the forum does not allow one character posts
8. Regular forum rules apply.
