Many people are saying that they don’t know why The White Witch is there. But I was thinking, The Dark Island is a place where all your worst nightmares come true. ...The White Witch being dead wouldn’t make it any more difficult for her to appear at The Dark Island, since it’s a place where nightmares come true. ...So someone’s death doesn’t necessarily have any bearing on what is or isn’t at the Dark Island....
I think they made her eyes green, so as to begin to introduce her as The Emerald Witch of The Silver Chair. A lot of people will be disappointed if that happens. And I may be wrong. But I think it might be true, because a lot of people do believe she IS the Emerald Witch (myself included). One bad side of it is, that if she IS the Emerald Witch, Eustace will see her, messing up what originally hapenned in The Silver Chair when they meet her on her white horse and she gives them advice.
Firstly welcome to Narniaweb! I see you haven't been here long, so you haven't had five and a half years of the moderators telling you NO, the Lady of the Green Kirtle (in Silver Chair) is NOT the same person as Jadis the White Witch. We checked this with the CSLewis company in 2004 and more recently, and had two answers the same, - that they are NOT the same person. The same spirit of evil is behind their deeds but they are different souls and different bodies.
So you can rest assured that the guardians of the wonderful seven stories of Narnia will not allow that plot problem to occur.
Plus if you think a very distinctive looking actress in her mid 40s is going to portray a young pretty woman you are not as smart as your blog suggests!! (i.e. no, Tilda plays Jadis but not LOTGK).
You have put your points about the nightmare well - anything can certainly happen, but we have been assured by the production that the appearance by Jadis is short.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
I still think there is a possibility that the LotGK will be played by Tilda. Nothing that they have done in the films has suggested to me that this isn't a possibility.
I do agree though that according to the book they are not the same person.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
I don't know decarus, in some recent interview I know some one said that Tilda couldn't wait to do Magician's Nephew considering it would be her last.
I don't think this crew would do that to us. Who knows if Micheal Apted quits and some one else takes over Silver Chair who is a deep fan like us, we wouldn't have to worry. But I doubt Tilda playing LOGK is going to happen....
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
Well i very much hope you are right. I just don't think that anything is not possible because clearly things have been done in the films that i would never have considered as a possible option.

I read the first 25+ pages, I'll get through the rest later.
My comments:
-Edmund enlisting was funny. The "I'm a king" line, was not. I hated Peter in PC. Hated. I do not want to go through with it again. Actually, if they hadn't done it to Peter, and Edmund isn't as bad, I wouldn't mind.
-Lucy's acting was wooden when they were in England. Much beter after they get into Narnia. Actually in the Painting Scence she looks so much like Susan, and her cting was wooden like Anna's (my opinion) so it was
-Eustance was amazing..at least for the few lines he had. I feel like I am really going to like him..at least the acting.
-Painting scene was nice. I liked how they changed it from the book. One of there better ideas
-Dawn Treader looks fake to me. So does the CGI. But I can forgive that.
-Oh hi Reep! Can't tell the difference in voices. Eustance in tha backround lol.
-Witch!. If this is the dark Island (not like its dark) then I don't mind Edmund having her as his nightmare. Actually that would be cool. The, "I could make you my king," would make sene. If she is really tempting him:
-Love Coriakin and the Magicians room and everything. Love the snow and how Lucy turns into Susan.
Please no Destiny and Fate!! I hate that, its so corny. The story has so much more, so much that is unique. Why go for the conventional? Actually, there are so many voice overs that I feel that this trailer has been really, really, cut to make you think one thing but the movie is something else. That means there is hope.
-I don't ike the idea of Peter and Susan passing on there weapons. It just isn't right to me. Its kinda corny actually.
_its funny how they put the snow to remind you of LWW. Its really funny.
I think the "adventure begins now" may be told to Lucy and Edmund when they leave for our wolrd, "there I have another name."
Peter, Susan! This doesn't make me upset, just curious
_I like the roar. For once I was actually a bit scared when it happened
Not the best trailer. I think it is just a bad trailer. The footage is fine. Its those voice overs and everything. Gosh. I really think they are trying to sell it in a way it really isn't. Only RD actually says something about fate on screen.
I want more. I'm excited to see the movie, wether it is bad or good.

Scary trailer. If my memory serves Narnia is doing great and Caspian has the time to seek out the 7 lords. The book was about an adventure almost entirely for the sake of adventure! The fate of narnia for once was not in the balance.
I didn't see the magic in the trailer. I did like the Lillies. Aslan not so grand, but he isn't suppose to be be as grand to Lucy and Edmund anymore.
Whimpsey! needs more of it. Fun, magic, joy!
The trailer does have me more hopeful then when I walked out of PC (I have the CD, it has never been opened).
Aslan not so grand, but he isn't suppose to be be as grand to Lucy and Edmund anymore.
Really? I didn't know that (well I havn't read the book in some time!)

No, Aslan is NOT less grand to Edmund and Lucy. In fact, he only gets larger and more grand (Aslan tells Lucy that in PC).
-I don't like the idea of Peter and Susan passing on there weapons. It just isn't right to me. Its kinda corny actually.
Oh, I don't really think so...I mean, I've been really excited about Rhindon coming back with Caspian and Edmund. Lucy does use bow and arrows in the book in VDT, so it only seems natural for her to use Susan's...Since Peter and Susan aren't coming back, why should those symbols of Narnia fade into the distance?
I thought it looked good except for the queen and Caspian in the boat to world's end. It ruins it b/c he should be with the crew.
"Ah, you've come from over the water, powerful wet stuff, ain't it?" -Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
There's book precedent for people using the Christmas gifts. Caspian brought the cordial with him on the voyage in VDT and he didn't know Lucy would be showing up. So clearly he intended to use it himself. Besides, why is it preferable that the gifts be left moldering on a shelf?
Oooo, maybe Caspian brings Susan's bow along with him on the voyage to remind him of his long-lost first love.
I don't know..maybe its just a personal thing that I don't like (them passing on weapons.) I mean, since they are the gifts given by Father Christmas. They seemed to belong only to them, in a special way. I didn't mind Peter giving his sword to Caspian, but I thought it was symbolic, not that Caspian would actually use it (yes, I'm not so practical .)
In Dawn Treader, Caspian says, " As you left it (the cordial) behind, I thought it might be regarded as one of the royal treasures." Was he going to use it? I don't know... To me, royal treasures seems sacred. But ya, its just a personal preference I guess.
Did a second trailer come out?
I know we've been talking about what they should put in the next trailer, but in most movies, they never change the different trailers too much. Its normally a few tweaks here and there. So I wonder if the next trailer will be much different.

I saw the other trailer, and I liked it! But Reep's voice was kind of not comfortable much to me when I first heard it.

I agree Sheroo! These symbols are important to the story line, they held significance in the first two movies. they should definitely continue in VODT
I do think that it would be a little ridiculous to outfit Tirian with Rhindon and Jill with Susan's bow in the LB movie. That'd be taking things a little too far; people would wonder if there was only one working bow and sword in Narnia.
^You cracked me up with that one, haha. Ditto Bookwyrm! I just hope they do not mess up VDT much, but, oh well! Go Narnia!
