Ah, how does one get involved in a discussion that's already more than a hundred posts long? Oh well...
I'm not that hard to please. I enjoyed the trailer, especially since it had a few (well, more than a few) shots that weren't in the super trailer. As an example, the Dufflepuds! Not to mention Edmund's attempt to enlist. And the whole Peter/Susan thing. And the White Witch. And on and on.
I do agree the CGI seemed a little weak in places--oddly, I think the CGI in the super trailer looked more finished. So I don't get it. But I'm not really that worried.
December here we come!!! Are we there yet? Are we there yet? ARE WE THERE YET???????!!!!!

By all means guys, if reading this board is actually causing you to get tense, disappointed or worried to the point it ruins your day (because we're talking about a story that's emotionally important to you), I think it's safe to say you have a good reason why you should be focusing on something else for the time being. Go read something else, talk to some offline friends, study for your tests, work, make money, pray, go to church, play baseball, invite that special someone for dinner, have a barbecue with your friends, start writing that novel you've always wanted to, whatever you like to do... You can always freak out AFTER you've seen the movie next December if it really turns out to be bad.
Give it some rest. Six months is a lot of time to spend worrying away on this board, which is why I'm promising myself I'll try to write less often until December. These movies are becoming too big a part of my life.
It is clear that they have reordered the islands.

It's a trailer decarus, It's going to be out of order in some areas, especially the middle parts of the trailer are usually the ones that are out of order.

After some more thought, I came to the same conclusion. I'm going to try not to worry too much about this. (Trailers are always horrible representations of movies anyway. I got really worked up about the PC trailer and it ended up not being so bad.)
If VDT is a total flop, my life will continue as usual. It may be the end of the movie franchise, but not the end of the world. And the good thing is, we will still have the books, which capture the true purpose of Narnia, no matter what. At least no one can change the books - they've already been written and they will remain that way.

okay it keeps saying that in the bit when they are getting pulled on board the ship in the elevator thing that it's Lucy and Edmund, but if you look at the still picture, it's actually Lucy and Caspian:

Edmund has a blue shirt, Caspian has a white one and check out Caspian's long hair in the picture!

I'm having a thought here on RD (still can't get used to calling her Lilliandil-ugh) shooting up into the sky. Perhaps she meets them on the Dark Island (notice how dark it is ) and gives them some sort of direction, advice, courage--maybe even tells them of the Stone Knife and the sleeping lords which they need to recover. She then shoots up into the sky and stays there for the remainder of the voyage, as sort of a beacon for the ship to follow to the end of the world, where she stays. In that way, Caspian can meet her early on and then formulate a little crush or something.
Anyway, just a thought.

That may be, but you can still guess at the order. If Eustace is still wearing his English clothes then that means he has not yet been a dragon and been redeemed. This means that the Lone islands and the Dufflepuds island is before he has become a Dragon. It looks like the Dark island will be most likely after Dragon Island because i don't think Eustace was in any of the shots where everyone is wearing armor.
The ship is not yet damaged in the Dark Island photos, so the serpent attack hasn't happened yet. Caspian has the sword in the photos of them by the tree with Ramandu's daughter. Lucy is also carrying her sword so that may be near the end. I can't be sure of that.
How many islands did they say there were going to be? five?
Lone Islands. Dufflepud's Island. Dragon Island. Dark Island/Deathwater Island. Ramandu's Island.
I need to think about it some more and look at the old photos.
PS. I was leaning towards putting the Duffle's Island and Dragon Island together. Do we know if they consider Aslan's country an island?

-queenSUSAN-, Good idea! I don't think it would affect the storyline too much and I probably wouldn't mind it. I hope that RD's role is something minor, like your suggestion.

Where is Ramandu's daughter when she is talking to Caspian? Lucy has her sword, so i would think later on, but Caspian has Peter's sword. Could this be at the Lone Islands?
Do Lucy's clothes sometimes look too big and sometimes not? I have trouble telling the difference. I would think that in the Magician's book scene Lucy's clothes are still too big. I wonder if that island could be first and the Lone Island second unless they are put together. The thing that makes it difficult to decide island order is that some islands are going to be put together.
Dufflepud's Island. Lone Islands. Dragon Island. Dark Island. Deathwater Island. Ramandu's Island. Aslan's country.

Okay, so I haven't read all 11 pages of comments yet. I promise I will but I wanted to get my comments in.
Disclaimer:The following are my opinions as a realistic purist. No matter how great the trailer was I would still very likely find things to criticize or complain about or at very least say that isn't the way it was in the book. It is not meant to offend the people who are making the movie. Overall, I am grateful that the movie is being made. I'd much rather everything be extremely close to book but if things are going to be changed, I want to get the fun I can out of them by pointing out the changes and/or complaining. (I'm not sure that made any sense. I'm tired and not thinking straight).

I would think that Lucy seeing Aslan would be at least after the Magician's book scene.

Actually, Ed looked stunned and horrified to see the Witch. It was his nightmare coming back to haunt him! He looked terrified.
