Fight scene in the Lone Islands? I'm not surprised.
The White Witch's green eyes are seriously out of place. So is Frodo Edmund holding Sting Rhindon.
Some of the shots looked odd. I don't remember anything like them in LWW or PC. It must be because of a new director or camera angles. What I'm saying is, some of it looked out of proportion or something -- like when the book closes on Lucy during Aslan's roar. It just didn't look right. Nor did Lilliandil's little turn-back-into-a-ball-and-go-back-up-into-the-sky routine. Maybe it wasn't camera angles, maybe it was because digital cameras were used.
In fact, the appearance of Lilliandil makes me more certain that Ramandu has been cut. I suppose there's still hope, but if the film people were keeping his casting as a surprise, the trailer would have been the time to reveal it.
The music was very invigorating. Would that be David Arnold's music? It's still going through my head and I don't want it to go away
Reepicheep seems very good. I was not keeping an eye on the tiny details, but I couldn't even tell the voice change.
Here's a positive: For all the Edmund fans who thought he didn't appear enough in PC, it looks like he'll be appearing more here.
Oh, and the Dufflepuds look like they're very similar to the book.
I think one thing that we all need to do is remember that you can't judge a movie by its trailer, so if you didn't like it, then don't give up on it. (I personally really liked it). I don't think that they would really do the Peter PC thing with Ed because it would be way too similar and everyone would revolt. Yes, the trailer raised a lot of questions, but isn't that kindof the point of a trailer...to create suspense and such? Well, I have to admit that I am really excited and really was thrilled with the trailer, even if it wasn't the most clear.
So is

yeah, that's my only comment. why was the sword lit up like a light saber?

Nope, none of the music in the trailer will be in the movie, It's done by trailer music companies that compose stuff specifically for Movie Trailers. If you'd like to know what was used in the trailer I did some research and here's the complete list of ALL the music that was used:
(0023) "Prologue (Through the Wall)" ~ Ilan Eshkeri (StarDust OST)
(0035) "Magical Mystery" ~ Brand X Music / Magic Box Music
(0018) "Glory and Honor" ~Two Steps From Hell
(0153) "Heart of Courage"~Two Steps From Hell
(0104) "The Black Legend" ~Immediate Music
I'm not gonna do a massive post repeating everything that has been said, but what I will say:
-Aslan looks stunning. He looked very flat in PC, but now he looks much more alive adn realstic
-The dialogue was pretty cheesy, and the acting in the first half seemed poor. I'm blaming this on the quick cutting and that they used all the Hollywood cliches in one trailer. I hope the actual film has better acting/dialogue, or at least the hollywood cliches are diluted.
Oh, also, the snow kinda looked like petals. I kinda like it thoughh...

...the Telmarine who saved Narnia.
I see no one went to bed last night. I'm not even going to attempt to respond to 9 pages of this thread.
Anyway ... I LOVE THE TRAILER! I love Skandar and Georgie in it! I love the Witch and Susan's cameos! I love the music and themes! Can't wait for December!
Favorite scenes
-Edmund trying to sign up for the army [and what follows]
-Georgie in the library creating the snow spell
-The sea of lilies
this trailer makes me really happy/giddy/excited! I can't wait for the movie to come out! this one is going to be the best Narnia movie ever! (IMO)

Ok Much the same as everyone else,
Loving:
Eustace (what we get to see of him)
repicheep
magicians book scenes
and corakin
Hating:
Edmunds comment about being a king (if they muck up his character in this book the way they did Peters in PC, I don't care if they make anymore films - I'll not be watching them! ) - (I lied I probably will I'll just moan a lot)
Picture of Dawn Treader - so fake
Addition of Peter and Susan
Glowing stars daughter
Glowing sword! - as someone already said if they follow the glowing sword out instead of the albatros I'll cry (and David Eddings'll have to sue for copyright as will the Tolkien franchise)
Everyones going to hate me for this but I think Lucy's acting, just in the England parts mind you - is very wooden - she's wonderful as usual in the rest
Overall I just didn't get that tingly, excited feeling I've gotten before with trailers like LWW and LOTR
I am kinda glad Caspian goes with them. It kinda makes sense that he would go as far as he could to see them off. This means they are far less likely to do the scene where he wants to go to Aslan's Country and the crew tries to stop him and there's almost a mutiny and then he goes to his cabin and pouts about it until he sees Aslan. I really didn't like Caspian in that part of the book. I thought he was extremely immature, even for seventeen. I think it would be worse to have Ben acting that immature but maybe that's just me. This way maybe Aslan will turn him back. We get to see it instead of Caspian telling us about it, and maybe he won't be so pouty about it.
Not to bash the book, of course. I loved the book... just not that part. *Joins Beginte and Lover of Narnia in hopes of not being burned alive*
I think this is safe to post as it's from a public site.
Jennifer I am not allowed to say too much ... but don't be concerned ... despite what you just saw Peter and Susan do NOT make it back to Narnia .. as per Lewis. All is not what it seems.
that bit at the end, the part when Aslan says, "You have been sent here for a reason. Your adventure begins now" sure sounds to me like they are planning to end the Narnia movies on this one.....especially since they show Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy all together during that line......

Yeah, i'm starting to think that we weren't supposedto get that. This trailer seems more and more like a random montage of stuff from the movie just to say "Hey look Everyone! The third Narnia movie is coming out this christmas! Check it out!!! ......K, Bye" Thats it.
Now here's what I dont understand. This trailer was terrible (IMO) and a few people agree, and I think quite a few of us were disappointed, but as far as I remember didnt we hear GOOD things about the 5-Minute super trailer that was exclusivley shown to certain people? I dont recall hearing anything bad about it. If thats the case then I bet that it's just that this trailer is bad marketing (which it is). I mean come on, It showed absolutely No plotline what so ever, most teaser trailers i've seen at least give some sort of hint at what the plot is about
LWW-White Witch is a dictator in Narnia. 4 kids are summoned to stop the White Witch and fulfill the prophecy.
PC-The kids have been gone 1300 years, and now have to return to Overthrow the new power and make Princ Caspian leader.
VoDT-2 of the kids from the first and 2 movies and some random other kid with them get back to Narnia and get on this boat that looks like a Dragon...and apparently the fate of Narnia rests upon them...and We could've never imagined something so great.....Oh and theres some magic book. We have no idea WHAT is so great or WHY they got on this boat, and why the fate of Narnia is in there hands....what is going on exactly?
If I had never read the books and not seen the previous movies, that is what I would conclude from this trailer. Now, im also thinking there's so much we HAVENT seen yet, so idk. Since I only remember hearing good things about that exclusive super trailer I'm going to keep my hopes up.

There are some different angles used. There's also several points that seemed to shout that they were chosen because the trailer will be shown in 3D in front of the 3D Toy Story 3. Others have mentioned problems on here with the digital cameras, I haven't really noticed anything that I would see the cameras as being the major problem with a shot.
Quickly, the shots that seem 3D to me are: Coriakin throwing the map (1:00), the Magician's Book looks like the mirror in the book will at least have some depth to it, possibly the pages flipping (1:18-ish), the faun-tumble at 1:39, and those are all I can say I'm almost certain will have some 3D techniques on when you watch it with TS3.
Oh, and RD turning into blue ball of flames/light is way sped up; note how quickly Lucy seems to step back. (1:36)

I don't think so; there have been multiple accounts of production members who want to make the whole series.

I ditto the optimists right now.
A few issues:
1. "the fate of Narnia depends on You", "You have an extraordinary destiny." A little less obscure, please? This makes me think that some new battle is about to take place.
2. The White Whitch being there is fine as long as she's only a bad dream or something...
3. The CGI is not bothering me at all. In fact, I was pleased with with it-- I was expecting the worst.
4. Glowing sword, shiny Lilliandil- I wish we knew what was going on and why they are there. Not too pleased about Lucy having the bow and arrow and the action sequence with fauns and all, but I'm not going to make a final judgement.
I can bypass things like the minotaur on board as long as there's no Su/Cas, Lu/Cas, overaffectionate Lil/Cas. Otherwise, I do really like it and am anticipating a lovely movie.
