The Quest for the Seven Swords begins- FOR REAL
I've begun a search for both the original swords used by the Seven Lords in Walden's VDT movie, as well as any existing replicas of the swords, both as an addition to my own collection and to provide a resource for other Narnia/sword buffs. If you have any information as to the location of any of these swords, please post below!
OK, here's the first sword I found, wielded by Lord Rhoop:

Please note that this website requires a membership in order to view prices. If you're interested in buying this, be aware that you may have to pay monthly membership fees.
Just to give you an idea of the prices, the sword carried by Drinian sold for about $4,500. Before the movie even came out!
If you'd like to read more about this quest while connecting with other interested fans, a fellow Narnia website, The Lion's Call, is running a series of articles with updates on my quest for the Seven Swords: https://www.thelionscall.com/2019/04/11 ... ans-quest/
Again, if you have any information, (or perhaps YOU want to find the swords too)
Ok, I found this collector's picture: https://www.instagweb.com/media/BtMEXqPn36-
but I wasn't able to find any more info about the sword (which you'll see third from the right) so I don't know if this is Rhoop's sword or a different sword. Can anyone provide some more information about this collector? Is this collector perhaps another Narniawebber?
It looks like the Seventh Sword is in the large collection of film items owned by Living Like Lucy Ministry -http://www.livinglikelucy.com/the-exhibit.php (its short video shows a number of notable items, and the sword is mentioned about halfway through).
The Ministry has moved to work alongside Logos Theatre in South Carolina.

Good luck - it's possible that they may have information on other swords.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Thanks so much! I had actually looked at pictures of their collection before and couldn't find it anywhere. I guess their display is huge enough for stuff to get lost in it!
I'll see what info they might have.
Well, I found out from them that they do indeed have one version of Rhoop's sword- and a collector in New York has the other (which is in the other picture I found.) Also, all the remaining props still in storage were sold to LLL a few years ago, and the other swords weren't there.
Looks like we have some serious digging to do...
While we're still looking for original replicas, here's a sword I found that's very similar to the original: link: https://www.albion-swords.com/The%20Regent.html
It can be modified by adding black leather grips with silver wire half-wrapping, if you're looking for the closest thing, AND if you're willing to pay $1,760.
The sword is an historic German design from the 15th century, classified as Oakeshott XVIIIb. Perhaps this design influenced the design of the movie props?

Woah, haven't updated this for a few months!
Well, on the suggestion of Kristi from The Lion's Call, I contacted a certain ebay seller she'd found and was told that the seller did indeed have, in his unlisted inventory, a "remnant" of the Seven Swords! Stay tuned for further details!
@cleander Just wanted to say, what an awesome idea! I recently re-watched the Walden VDT, and while it is a massive rewrite of the book, the quest for the Seven Swords thing was pretty cool. I wish you well on your epic adventure, and hope you find a Coriakin - someone who (in the movie) conveniently has a magical map of all the uncharted areas. 😀
Yes, I'm a mouse... I mean, a geek!
@geekicheep, it's definitely been awhile since I updated this... so here goes!
The seller I've been following on Ebay did indeed have a "remnant" of the seven swords- specifically a leather grip from one of the hilts. The grip sold not long after for a figure in the 1000's. Over a year has passed and, while the seller has listed some pretty phenomenal Narnia props- such as letters from Tumnus' cave or the Pevensie kids' "labels" from the train station in LWW, with assorted scraps of armor, weapons and equipment- they have not listed anything else related to the seven swords.
The quest is far from over! I intend to keep up the search, and I'm glad you're interested!
And yes, I'm also hoping for a bit of a "Coriakin" to come along. ( But if you should see anything, feel free to post it here!)
Thanks for the reminder- I'd forgotten about this thread since the main updates have mostly been posted on the Lion's Call website.
Hi my name is Kenny and I was wondering if u would tell me the info of this eBay seller or send me a link because I too I’m looking for one of the seven swords
The seller currently doesn't have any of the seven swords up, but they're still listing Narnia stuff from time to time.
Still, here's a link: https://www.ebay.com/str/dinosinatrajr?_bkw=Narnia+
Hope this helps! If you don't see any Narnia stuff right away, don't worry, the seller relists them now and then. They mostly have a lot of weapons from the first movie, but other props turn up as well.
I'm still looking, but haven't found any leads beyond what's already in this thread.
Hope you can find something!
Thank u so much for the link although I didn’t find it I’m not so easy to give up and I hope u still update this quest form time to time and if I get any info on the 7 sword I will let u know or if u do plz let me know
If you follow the seller on Ebay, you'll probably see them list something later.
Glad you don't intend to give up! I'm still going through with the search, but most leads I've had so far have gone cold, which is why I haven't updated this in a while. That's why any suggestions or clues in this thread are very helpful!
