If anyone is interested in doing a little head to head with some older PC games (or a few more modern X-Box 360 ones, provided you've got XBox Gold), by all means put down your requests here. I can easily envision a Narniaweb tournament involving members squaring off over Starcraft, Warcraft (2 or 3), Age of Empires, and others! Plus, frankly, it'd be nice to have friendly gametime with people I know from here rather than with random Koreans on Battlenet who can spank me painfully in about as much time as it takes me to change my daughter's wet diaper.
Here's what I've got. Shout if you've got em'!
Star Craft (with Brood War expansion)
Warcraft 3 (with expansion)
Age of Empires III (no expansions! )
Star Wars: Empire at War (I have access to the expansion)
Titan Quest
IL-2 Sturmovik - 1946 (in case anyone's into flight sims...Snowangel, I think you might like this one. And learning how to fly a dive bomber is a good and noble thing. )
Civilization IV (with Beyond the Sword expansion, this one would take a long while to play)
Star Craft II: Wings of Liberty (on loan from my brother)
F.E.A.R.
I have other games stuffed here and there. If anyone has anything they're interested in playing multi-player, write em' down and I'll see if I have a copy.

No, I think not. You have never seen me fly and you never will. My brother always takes the controls when I do try. He won't let me fly on BF:1942 even when I would like to try. Guess I'll stick to just shooting the bad guys instead of crashing into them.
I've been playing some Splinter Cell: Conviction with my brother recently. Hunter mode of course, it's totally awesome. He got a map pack for it, only four maps, but they are pretty good. We had to completely them on realistic the first time. Hopeful we can play them again soon on normal instead of realistic.

I have that game someplace, actually. The flight characteristics in BF:1942 are absolutely AWFUL. It's like trying to control a drunken frisbee with an eyepatch on. I don't know what they were thinking, although the rest of the game is really quite fun. I think the Wake Island map is by far the best one, although Battle of the Bulge gives it a run for its money at times. At any rate, BF:1942 is NOT flying! That's drunken frisbee. Go get a flight sim.

I've never heard it quite that way before, but that's about right and it's even worse when I try it.
If I had some money might just buy a flight sim, but I don't.
Although talking about BF:1942, I makes me wish I had had the kids leave the other computer on, so I could play some this evening. Well, maybe tomorrow I will play some.

Something's up at Turbine... Lotro, (as well as DDO and Asheron's Call) has been down since Fri... for server maintenance... obviously they hit a bug, as it wasn't supposed to take this long...
Still trying not to go to Her Interactive... because if I do, I will splurge But it's a fight

I should probably mention that my brother got my husband and I a joint birthday present of a Wii U about a month ago. We've been playing Nintendoland which is just a fun set of mini-games for the Wii. I've been watching my husband go through the Metroid recreation and it's hilarious. I've been trying to do the old school Donkey Kong game which is a little creepy cause your Mii turns into a cart, but it is a fun game as well.
On the whole, I definitely preferred the original Wii to the Wii U, but maybe this one will grow on me as more games come out.
I won't be investing in a wii you to wind waker comes out on it which I believe is spring/fall(depends where you live) this year. so around September. I never had a game cube so i have always wanted to play the game properly. I only ever played a small part of it in store.
IlF, you should know that Nintendo Land on the Wii U has a Zelda mini-game you're missing out on.
Three more days until Heart of the Swarm comes out. I CAN NOT WAIT!!! Though admittedly I'm still trying to figure out how I'll have time to play. I'm probably not going to do much outside of the campaign, but it should still be worth it!
There is a couple of wii u games out at the moment that look good to. I might get one in the not so distant future.
the only thing thats going to get me to play the wii u is the new Super Smash Bros. game. Anyone know when its supposed to be released?

I don't think I've ever played a single version of Final Fantasy. Crazy, as it's one of the main rpgs throughout video game history.
Oh, and Phelan (is it ok if I shorten your name to that?), what's Dota 2? I'd never heard of it before you mentioned it and now I've started seeing it all over the place. I guess I hadn't paid attention before. Yeah, I could go look it up, but it's more fun to ask fans about it.
Well, I got Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm and then literally spent an entire day downloading patches and updates for Wings of Liberty. But I've played through a few of the maps on the campaign now. I must be too much of a goodie-goodie cause I've never been much for playing the anti-hero. But I'm still curious how the storyline is gonna play out so I'm trudging on for now. The one thing I do like is that I was never good at playing the Zerg (downright horrible to be honest) so now I'm getting some good practice in on how they work. I'll probably go back and play the Terrans and have no clue what I'm doing.
Aw, FK! If you have an old Nintendo laying around it'd be worth it to give Final Fantasy II and III a shot at least. FF I is fun, but very archaic, so you have to be patient with clunky interfaces and choppy graphics. If those don't bother ya, you're good to go. If there is one definitive Final Fantasy game you should play, I'd have to say it's FF VII. Great storyline, great gameplay, the materia usage was pretty intuitive stuff, and it has more plot twists than a single season of Lost. Pretty impressive. And Sephiroth is definitely one of the more memorable video game villains that I've run afoul of. Give it a whirl, it's a fun game and it'll keep you occupied for many long hours. But you'll need a PS One to play it.

But, wouldn't Dissidia be a better way to get a taste of the type of storylines people can expect from the FF games? Don't get me wrong though, FFVII is certainly one of the best FF games around, I just think a game with easier to understand gameplay would be a better way to start the series (the turn-based stuff always confuses me if I'm not paying attention). Plus, you wouldn't need to go digging up an old playstation to play Dissidia.
