To once again continue the LOTR subject, I picked up Battle for Middle Earth I and II today (for practically no cost
). Has anyone here played either of them, and if so, are they any good?
Yes, Ive played them both. It has been sometime since Ive played them (computer problems), but I remember enjoying them a lot.
*Wonders if they have versions of the game for macs*
If you don't mind, let me know what you think of them.

I'm running through Bioshock 2 for the second time. I last played it around a year and a half ago and generally speaking wasn't particularly impressed with the storyline, but the second playthrough I've been generally more pleased with it. Of course I'm hunting for achievements so I'm going through at a much slower pace (plus changing diapers and feeding my own Little Sister-in-Training) so I'm getting extra time to enjoy it. I've also delved into the Multiplayer portion of it and am pleasantly surprised by how much fun this is too. It's no Team Fortress 2, but it's a lot of fun zapping opponents with a fistful of lightning and then blasting them with a shotgun.

Iv'e never played Bioshock, but I hear it's a Great game.
I love Big Daddy's and how they protect the Little Sisters!
Big Daddy's are so adorable, I want to give one a big hug.
I don't think I would want to play the first one since you have to kill the Big Daddy's!
But I would consider Bioshock 2 because you are the Big Daddy!

I remember when they did a play on the Big Daddy/Little Sister in WoW. It was HILARIOUS. Can't wait to see your future costumes SL and mini-SL.
For some reason I've been playing Starcraft again lately. I really enjoy this game, I'm just not very good at it. Blizzard, being the slightly irritating company that they are, said they hoped to get the expansion out in 2012. But if you know anything about Blizzard, you know they never get their stuff out in time and as I've heard NOTHING about it, it probably won't be out this year.

Well, while you wait (for the expansion for Starcraft), you can play some other game. Like Bit.Trip Beat! We could even see who could get a higher score (by posting on NarniaWeb, or PMing)! I would have a fun time with that!
Oh yeah!! Someone else who has heard of the BIT.TRIP series!!
I've not heard of the two you mentioned (though Runner sounds right up my alley). I have BIT.TRIP Beat, which rocks, quite literally.
It's played on the Wii platform. I think my husband got another one (or maybe it was just the demo) but I haven't looked into it at all.
Bit.Trip Saga is just a compilation of every Bit.Trip game. It's for the 3DS. Bit.Trip Runner is a Rhythm platformer, and one of my favorite games in the series. It's getting a sequel (Bit.Trip presents Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien) soon.

I've played BfME I & II, but I never did get the Witch-King expansion pack for II. They were a ton of fun though, some of the few strategy games I got a lot of repeat play out of.
Also, new Funcom MMO The Secret World released last week. I started playing it last Thursday and it is amazing. The voice-acting, the storylines, even the NPC dialogue is fantastic. Combat is pretty much your standard MMO fare, though they do allow you to move around while fighting as well as have dodge moves. It's not quite as complicated as previous Funcom MMO Age of Conan's combat was. Not being stuck with one class or even chained to one weapon is pretty amazing as well.
I chose to play as a Templar, which honestly doesn't seem to have much impact on the storylines themselves, but I imagine the RPers are having a blast with the factions. And here's the last trailer for the game that released on launch day.
Hey everybody! Just a few days ago, it was raining really hard outside. You might have possibly heard on the news that in Cypress, Texas, it was flooding. Well, we were very close to (but not in) the flood. Because of that delaying some things that we really wanted to do, we got a few new games from the Wii shop channel!
I picked out F-Zero (originally for the Super NES). When I first got and played F-Zero, I realized Mario Kart Wii has a reference to F-Zero.
Anyway, F-Zero is really fast-paced and hardcore, so it's not for beginners to racing games. Fortunately for me, I have played (but don't own) about 10 different racing games (including multiple games from the same series), so I was prepared. Despite that fact, on my first time of playing, I crashed on the first race on the easy difficulty level.
Currently, I'm stuck on the fifth race (which I assume is the last race) on easy (the one called "Silence"). It's just so... Twisty, and turny, it's hard to make any of the turns without almost completely stopping, and if you do that, then you can't stay within the safe placement (if you have played F-Zero, you will probably know what I'm talking about). Any tips on how to clear it? The only time I've got there, I used the "Blue Falcon". EDIT: I've made it there a second time with the "Wild Goose".
Last, but not least, the game may sound hard, but it is fun! Has anybody else here played it?

Anyone else play Call of Duty: Black Ops? My brother bought it almost two weeks ago, we have played split screen just about everyday. It's awesome. My brother, sister, and I have a blast playing it together. I love being able to be on a team and fight bots.
SnowAngel
Christ is King.
I don't play it, although I've played a number of the older WW2 CoD games.
We should start a video game exchange club or something where one person suggests a game that another person must play, and that person must do the same for the other. Then they each play their referenced games and offer a sort of mini-review here. Might work for PS3/360/PC users since most of the games between platforms tend to be generally the same with only a few exceptions. It'd work for everyone but the Wii-zoids anyways.

Hey, is there anyone who knows anything about the release date for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance, or Pokemon BW2, or both?

I have the original F-Zero for the SNES and beaten all three Cups on Master Mode. If you think "Silence" is hard, just wait until you get to "White Land II" or "Fire Field".
Tactics. On the sharp turns, hit the brakes. If you are at full speed, you will not be able to make the turns. Also watch out for cars right behind you because if you are trying to turn, they can send you right into the walls. When you come to the 'jump', press down to make your nose point up. That will give you the clearing distance for some of them, and when you land you won't lose speed.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

I knew to try to slow down at the turns, but I haven't actually tried hitting the brakes. I know to avoid the cars, but as for the last one, I had no idea you could even do that! It doesn't say anything about being able to do that in the operations guide (I got it through virtual console, a feature of the Wii which allows you to play games for old systems. When you go to the Home menu by pressing the home button, there is a "Operations Guide" button, which is the equivalent of a Manuel), so I didn't even know you could do that. Thanks for the tips!

I have a Wii, and I like it. However, I also play a few PC games. I'd be glad to join you! However, if both people play the game from the Wii, then a review of the Wii version of a game should be allowed (though a review of the Wii version of a game should be separate from the review of it on any other system).

There's one! I used to play PC games exclusively and have a sizable collection of PC games, although most are fairly older (2006 was the last time I bought one).

Just one important thing, my selection of games for non-Nintendo consoles is somewhat limited, as most of the games our family has are on the Wii, Nintendo DS, or Nintendo 3DS. However, we do have a few PC games, like Sonic Generations and Civilization V, both of which are from Steam. If you need a full list of games, just let me know.

Ah, and here I was gonna recommend Civ IV . You're one up on me already! How is Civ V? I've had my eye out for it for some time. However, while it's not selling at *full* retail price it's still at 2/3rds of it. You wouldn't have Hasbro Game Night, would ya?
