darkhorseD, Have you tried Bloons TD 5 yet? It brings up a message telling you about some of the more confusing balloon types, making it less confusing. Also, it pretty much is updated every week with new stuff, like new tracks, new features, new modes... Just about anything. It also has a new type of thing called a special agent, a special tower which can be used to protect yourself from losing if you are short on cash, because you get them with a different type of in-game money called "Monkey Money". Monkey Money is earned for finishing tracks, completing daily challenges, completing special missions, earning some every day by clicking a treasure chest on the menu, and (though I have never done this one) buying it as a premium item.
It also has a completely revamped menu, with things you can do from there ranging from buying special agents to earning your daily monkey money to looking at every tower type and it's upgrades. Also, with the right rank, you can do a mode called "Sandbox Mode", and although it was in Bloons TD 4, it didn't truly give you unlimited money or lives. Cash comes in very quickly in Bloons TD 5. Bloons TD 5 also has two upgrade paths per tower, just like Bloons TD 3 (in Bloons TD 4, I missed having two upgrade paths per tower). I guess Bloons TD 3 might be slightly less complex than Bloons TD 5, but, like I said, it tells you about the more confusing balloon types by bringing up a message the first time you encounter them.

For those Elder Scrolls players, Bethesday has announced there will be an MMO set several centuries before Skyrim. Not a whole lot of info out on it as of yet. I'm hoping it'll be first person, non-hot key based combat and not just another WoW-clone.

So, is anyone opposed to sharing GameCenter usernames? It just occurred to me how fun it would be to play against a NWebber.

There is no such thing as a Painless Lesson
I just completed Super Paper Mario for the Wii. An older game for the system and I thought it was okay. The Mario RPG's (the Paper Mario series) just hasn't held to the standard that Super Mario RPG had for the SNES.
I won't be playing any more games for the rest of the month. The reason why is that I have one week until I leave on a two-week trip to Colorado. I'll be attending the Colorado Christian Writer's Conference next week then I will be giving a 4-day fencing camp to a small fencing club in the area. Then after that I'm going to hang around the area for a few days to visit friends and family. I'm so excited about this trip.
I have several games to play when I get back though. Among them is Final Fantasy VIII (I am part way through but the 2nd disc is not being friendly on reading), Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerebus, and Tales of the Abyss (all for PS1/PS2); and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn and Xenogears: Chronicles for the Wii.
But gaming will take a second seat to writing as I now finally have the time to return to work on to the sequel of my novel.
Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.
I'm not sure what games are lined up this year for E3, but I always put on my "Where's Half-Life 2: Episode 3 already?!?!" hat whenever it rolls through town. And then Gabe Newell always says, "Oh, it's still in production. For 4 years and counting". Sheesh.

OK, just to change the subject, does anyone know when Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 is set to be released in the US?
I've read in one place its being released on September 30th 2012, though that could change.
If I can I will keep an eye on the game during E3 (chances are they will announce the release date then).

I hate to disappoint you, but Gabe Newell said In an e-mail response to a fan asking about new Half-Life details:
"We are not announcing anything at E3. Really. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3."
You never know though, they might just be saying that to surpise people.

That looks awesome, 7!!! Alas, I do not have a PS3! For a moment I thought it was going to be another zombie game. And while I love a good zombie game the market is oversaturated with them at the moment. What's the backstory to the game?

Didn't they say they had no plans to do any more Portal games? I love Valve, but I've learned they never, ever release anything in a hurry.
Speaking of Valve, does anyone else play Team Fortress 2? I've been mildly obsessed the last few weeks, mainly playing Spy and Pyro.
Also connected to Valve, they released a mod for Skyrim that allows you to collect a Space Core that crash lands near Whiterun.
Yeah I'm really excited about the game!
I'm normally not really big on post apocalypse type games, but the guys at Naughty Dog are such amazing story tellers I was hooked right away!
Here is the plot:
The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience that blends survival and action elements to tell a character driven tale about a modern plague decimating mankind. Nature encroaches upon civilization, forcing remaining survivors to kill for food, weapons and whatever they can find. Joel, a ruthless survivor, and Ellie, a brave young teenage girl who is wise beyond her years, must work together to survive their journey across what remains of the United States.
The concept for The Last of Us arose after watching BBC nature documentary Planet Earth, which showed the cordyceps fungus infected ants, resulting in taking over its brain and producing growths from its head; the idea that the fungus could infect humans became the initial idea for the game.
The game takes place twenty years after a cordyceps fungus brakes out upon humanity.
Joel made a promise to a dying friend that he would smuggle Ellie out of the quarantine zone for a yet unknown reason.
The game will start in post-apocalyptic Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and slowly move its way out of the city to other unannounced areas.

I play it on occasion. I was going to say that you do have the...'taint' of Spy on you. Filthy spies! My favorite is the Engineer, maker of those wonderful turrets you Spies like to blow up. On occasion I'll play the Soldier as well.
Thanks for the game description, 7! It sounds great, although as I said I won't be able to play it because I don't have a PS3.
