wolfloversk oh, okay.

Two of my favorite games made by PopCap are "Zuma" and it's sequel "Zuma's revenge!" They are both very fun, though they are a little bit difficult. Just like BIT.TRIP Runner is difficult. You know, I think I will go ahead and play BIT.TRIP Runner. It has been a while since I have played it.

*Leaves to play BIT.TRIP Runner*

EDIT: I never managed to play BIT.TRIP Runner, because it wouldn't start up. :p

I've played the Bejeweled games a lot in the past, and I just tried out Bejeweled Blitz today.

Has anyone tried Angry Birds Space yet? I haven't even played regular Angry Birds though my husband has it on its phone. I noticed they stuck it on Facebook a few weeks ago so I may try it. Or maybe on Google Plus since I'm hating Facebook more and more. :P

I'm a pretty big Angry Birds fan, but I haven't tried Space yet, mainly because I don't have a supported device. I will try to get it for PC though, or wait for them to put it on FB.

Okay, continuing...

My personal favorite game series is the BIT.TRIP series. My favorite in the series that I have tried (demo or full version) is BIT.TRIP Runner. It is a rhythm platformer where you constantly run, but you have to do the jumping, kicking, sliding, and springing yourself. It can get really complicated even in the early levels, but hard games are the kind I like, because I have so much skill in video games, most of them are at least a little bit easy to me. There is only one game over, and even then it is a secret, so you actually have to try to get it. I learned about the secret game over in two ways: 1. There is a achievement on steam for getting a game over, and 2. I have seen a YouTube video of someone getting it, so I know how to get it. The only reason I haven't gotten the game over is because I haven't reached the place where you can get it yet. If you own a Wii, you can download a demo for all of the games in the series, which is how I got to liking the series as much as I currently do.

I plan on getting BIT.TRIP Saga (which is a 3DS compilation of all of the games) very soon with the gift card I got for my birthday. And yes, I'm the brother Dinode was talking about who owns a 3DS (I have three brothers other than Dinode :P ). I was planning on getting the Wii game disc compilation, but then I got a 3DS, which I was not expecting, so I changed my mind to getting the 3DS compilation.

I have never been to intrigued by those games, but they actually seem rather cool and challenging. One of the many cool concepts that were born in Nintendo consoles. But I have never really tried them. They have a demo? I should probably give it a try. Perhaps I could end up liking it much. Anyhow, this games are not that uncommon as you expect. Actually they are quite popular and have quite their fans. Many eShop games have become quite popular lately aswell, such as Pushmo.

Shortly after Christmas, we got Portal 2 for the PS3, but i was insistent on playing the games in order, so i watched my brother play it a few times but valiantly held off playing it myself. Finally, a few weeks ago - or maybe a couple months - he got a Steam account, and i bought the first Portal game on that and downloaded it onto my computer. I have to say, i think i liked the second game better. The graphics were gorgeous.

I really need to get the Orange Box for PS3 and play the orginal Portal. I love puzzle and adventure type of games and Portal has always appealed me a lot, but I never get around them because I have to choose between other games. Anyway, i do not like the idea of playing Portal 2 before the first one. Ans the Orange Box also has the Half-Life games so it is actually interesting and I am considering buying it.

Has anyone tried Angry Birds Space yet? I haven't even played regular Angry Birds though my husband has it on its phone. I noticed they stuck it on Facebook a few weeks ago so I may try it. Or maybe on Google Plus since I'm hating Facebook more and more. :P

I just cannot feel very happy with that series. I do not know, Angry Birds seems fun and all, but the series is so overrated. But that is not what it bothers me, it is how many people are saying that is the new Mario and putting it as the best game ever is a little to exagerated when this series has yet to do something revolutionary. Not that the new game does not look interesting. (But Angry Birds the movie, seriously? It is a little to much I guess, although it is too soon to dismiss it. )

TP definitely has the best overall story of the series. Skyward Sword is close behind but if I hadn't played all the games before, I wouldn't have appreciated all the cookies and references to the previous games (and there are a LOT). It is the norm for a Zelda game to have great gameplay, story, characters and music (my addition), but TP is at the upper tier in the series. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Nintendo is one of the few companies that still knows how to make a good quality game that isn't just about graphics. Skyward Sword is one of those games when I beat it, I had this excellent sense of accomplishment that I don't get from most games. As I think back, perhaps the only games that came close to doing that for me would be Kingdom Hearts 1, Final Fantasy IX, Twilight Princess, and maybe Arc Rise Fantasia (an RPG for the Wii). I've had other games that I've loved after beating (such as the other Kingdom Hearts, Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VI, VII, and XII, and most of the Mario games), but not leaving that sense of awe and completion that Skyward Sword gave me. Good stuff.

Fencer nice to see you again! Ihave to agree completely. The Zelda franchise is still one of the best and most beautiful franchises. Nintendo has managed to keep impressing with the quality of its content, most notoriously its gameplay and story. I regard Zelda as my favourite series in videogames and SS has been a pleasure to play. 1:1 controls are very intuitive and I like many new concepts. Although I hope the next overworld is more interconnected and that there are more towns and people to interact with. If you ask me, I think WW story is the second best to Ocarina of Time's. Although SS and TP are definetly worth it. I like both, is just that each story has its own essence, and something unique to it, even if many elements are used over again. It really is quite unique and smart. Each game has manged to keep the same elemnts and story and world without feeling a rehash. As of the many references SS has of other games there are plenty. I have noticed a few during my second playthrough. It is pretty amazing, and truly a tribute to the series silver birthday.

Regarding RPG's I do not know if you are aware, but the Wii will have this year two great RPG's. Xenoblade, developed by Nintendo's studio Monolith Software (who by the way helped in the later development of Zelda SS) and (the one I really want to try) The Last Story, developed exclusively for Wii by Final Fantasy's creator, Sakaguchi. Both games are regarded as the best RPG's of the Wii and among the best of this current gen, so they are definetly something. Pandora's Tower is another RPG that is currently scheduled for Europe only, but if it sells it can come to America. So let's stay tuned.

I agrre what you say that Nintendo is one fo the few developers that know how to create greta games without having to focus to much on graphics like most modern games do. But the truth is they do care, is just that they approach them on a more artistic way. SS looks like an impressionistic painting a times, for example.

Here's a trailer of the RPG's I mentioned.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JQ4c2Xxn_u0

Couldn't have said it better. The next Zelda game that I need to play is The Wind Waker. I've had a hard time finding it for a good price though. I'm also watching eagerly for any news regarding a new Zelda game (or another 3DS remake, possibly Majora's Mask).

Definitely, try WW, is such an amazing game and has in my opinion, the best ending of any Zelda game. It is pretty epic in itself. You definelty must give it a try. And, I am actually glad to see another Zelda fan on the site! Regarding the Zelda games, Nintendo is now working on two games. One for the 3DS, and another for the WiiU, so there is much to be looking foward.

Also, I suppose you have a 3DS, where you lucky to buy it at time for the embassador program? I did and I have been playing many games from them. There is a lot of quality games there. My current one are Metroid Fusion and Zelda Minish Cap which has been very delightful. I never had the opprotunity to play it until now and it has been pretty amazing. So tell me, do you like to play games much? Are you a big Nintendo fan? What other franchises do you play? I would be glad to listen.

Last year I began to play some games for the PS3 and I bought Ico and Shadow of the Colossu Collection, it is amazing and one of the best games I have played. There are really amazing and show that a beautiful story and great gameplay can truly shine and make a game amazing.

Speaking of SS, Nintendo released a new trailer for those who have not bought the game yet. It is a pretty amazing trailer that shows many moments from the game and it is very full of spoilers. If you have not played the game, it gives you some pretty good reasons to do so.

My brother got a 3ds the other day, along with Mario Kart 7. I've tried it out a couple times. In face raiders, the final level is hard, and after half an hour of 3d my eyes started to get tired. But it was rather fun shooting Bolt wearing a helmet.

Mario Kart 7 was a lot more fun for me, though I didn't get to play it as long. I tried the steering mode where you tilt the 3ds with 3d on, and it looked great, as long as I didn't try to tilt it too far. My eyes didn't get tired that time, but my arms sure did.

I also tried out a demo for Nintendogs+cats. It was just so CUTE! I loved making the kitten purr, and both of them chasing after balloons and boomerangs and such. However, I think if I actually got the game I would eventually get bored with it.

I got a 3DS last year. I have been enjoying it much. The cool features, the 3D, and the games like Super Mario, Ocarina of Time, Starfox and many others. And some more are coming this year, so there is much to play.

Okay, everyone, this is a super odd question, but here goes:

I saw a YouTube video of a young woman singing a song that was supposedly from a video game. The video itself was supposedly a hit or something, and she was singing something about a "dragon rider coming" or something along those lines. I'm sorry to say I can't remember what dong the game was from. Any ideas as to the name of this song and the artist? thanks :D

I haven't browsed this thread in a few months, so this question has probably already been answered. That sounds like Malukah singing The Dragonborn Comes, which is Skyrim theme song translated into English. It's also one of the songs the bards sing in the game.

Those RPG's sound quite tempting. I'll have to look them up and see when they come out. I'm currently playing through Final Fantasy VIII for the first time. I never got a chance to get it until recently and am on Disc 2 of 4. Too soon to say where it fits among the other Final Fantasies but the end of the 1st Disc was just plain epic for me. I'm looking forward to the rest of the game.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

fantasia_kitty, I have tried it, and you might want to try the demo of Angry Birds Space for PC, because it's easier than standard Angry Birds (period).

My brother (not Dinode, one of my other brothers) bought Angry Birds Space for PC just today. Before buying it, he tried the demo. The demo plays the first 15 levels. I myself have tried it, and it's fun.

Just a warning, there are currently only 60 standard levels. I figured out the number of standard levels based on the number of standard places (two), times the number of levels per place (30), which equals 60. There are also 30 "Danger Zone" levels, which are supposed to be the hardest Angry Birds levels ever, and a few secret levels. There is a total of 90 non-secret levels in the PC version so far. It seems like you need to buy the "Danger Zone" in non-PC/Mac versions based on what I've read. Also, there are some levels available for purchase in the iPhone/iPad versions. Those levels currently don't seem to be in the PC version.

The orbiting makes the game much easier than standard Angry Birds, because, in Angry Birds Space, if you miss a pig, your bird might orbit around and manage to hit the pig you just missed. All Angry Birds games have a demo available for the PC version, as well as a free Android version that has all of the level (though it has ads, as well as a paid version to without ads).

My brother and I bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 this past week off Amazon.com for $26 used like new. It's so cool! B-) I'm so out of practice though. So we have just been playing the wave defense mode. Totally awesome! :D My brother wants me to play through the single player campaign and I think I'm going to. I haven't played single player CoD in a long time.

In addition to what's been said about Angry Birds: Space (I have the iPhone version), some other notes:

- The game is heavily based on gravity; you'll see the gravitational fields of various planetoids that comprise the levels. To assist you with the aiming, they do show the beginning part of the path your bird will take as you aim.
- The speedy bird (formerly yellow, now purple) has a new mechanic; after firing it, you tap anywhere on the screen and it'll zoom right towards where you tapped at high speed.
- There are some "boss battles" in this one, which is interesting...
- There is a new type of bird; after you launch it, you can tap the screen and any blocks in the area get instantly frozen, so that they can be easily broken by blue birds.
- There are some incredibly amusing easter Egg-steroids to be found.

stardf29, how many Egg-steroids have you found? I've found three if I remember correctly. Also, there were boss battles in Angry Birds Rio, so boss battles being in an Angry Birds game is not new. However, Angry Birds Rio is based off of a movie, unlike Angry Birds Space.

Anyone here tried Bloons TD games? It's a series of tower defense games where you try to pop the balloons (called "Bloons" in the game) before they make it to the end of the track. Numbers 3-5 are the best (and easiest) in the series in my opinion. Numbers 4 and 5 have premium content (with Bloons TD 5 only having cheat-like premium content though). Bloons TD 5 is the latest in the series, and my favorite.

I agree that the Bloons TD games are really good, but I, personally, think number 3 is the best, mainly because its not as confusing as the 4th game, just a straightforward pace a monkey/tower here, upgrade it, and destroy the balloons
