More people like skyward sword better than twilight princess. so i would defiantly try it. Since one persons opinion is not yours.

Haha, sorry. I did make it sound like I was going to put it off for forever didn't I? No I'll definitely play it, it's just a matter of whenever I get around to it. And my friend does like it, just not as much as Twilight Princess. ;)
But interestingly enough I've had a number of people tell me that they didn't like Skyward Sword quite as much as Twilight Princess, not just one, so that's very interesting that your group of friends feels exactly the opposite.
I shall keep an open mind. ;)

I most likely read it wrong. Anyway most of my online Fridays liked ss better and those few friends I have in real life. I haven't made up my own mind but I am leaning towards ss but than i think again and I might like TP better.

Because then it wouldn't be an FPS anymore. It then becomes a Third Person Shooter, sorta like Dead Space or even Tomb Raider to a degree. ;) You and I view the world in first person and all we see are our arms and legs and hands (and in my case my large nose :P), so that's why that's all you can see in an FPS. ;)

Yeah, that's what I mean, when we see (in first person) we can see our arms and legs, but when ever I play a FPS all they really seem to focus on is the hands and wrist area, I just wonder how it would look if they were to give a little more viewing room, then just the area of the hands. Just a thought. :p

And while I'm on the subject of puzzle games, has anybody else here played the Professor Layton games for DS?

I've yet to play them, but my sister loves them! I really love the animation in them. I plan on playing them soon. :)

So me and my sister just got our PS Vitas!!!!
They are amazing!!! And it is such an upgrade from the original PSP!
The Touch is so responsive and smooth (maybe even better then My Itouch)!
Having two an analog sticks makes a huge difference! And the rear touch pad is great!
I've been Playing Uncharted: Golden Abyss on it! The graphics are even better then the first Uncharted on the PS3!
Its Awesome!!!!! :D :)

I just finished Twilight Princess yesterday. Excellent gameplay, story, and characters. I guess that's the norm in Zelda games though. :D If I had to choose between TP and Skyward Sword, I'd probably choose Skyward Sword.
But it's really close. Soon I'll going back to do some sidequesting.

TP definitely has the best overall story of the series. Skyward Sword is close behind but if I hadn't played all the games before, I wouldn't have appreciated all the cookies and references to the previous games (and there are a LOT). It is the norm for a Zelda game to have great gameplay, story, characters and music (my addition), but TP is at the upper tier in the series. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Nintendo is one of the few companies that still knows how to make a good quality game that isn't just about graphics. Skyward Sword is one of those games when I beat it, I had this excellent sense of accomplishment that I don't get from most games. As I think back, perhaps the only games that came close to doing that for me would be Kingdom Hearts 1, Final Fantasy IX, Twilight Princess, and maybe Arc Rise Fantasia (an RPG for the Wii). I've had other games that I've loved after beating (such as the other Kingdom Hearts, Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VI, VII, and XII, and most of the Mario games), but not leaving that sense of awe and completion that Skyward Sword gave me. Good stuff.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

Couldn't have said it better. The next Zelda game that I need to play is The Wind Waker. I've had a hard time finding it for a good price though. I'm also watching eagerly for any news regarding a new Zelda game (or another 3DS remake, possibly Majora's Mask).

My brother got a 3ds the other day, along with Mario Kart 7. I've tried it out a couple times. In face raiders, the final level is hard, and after half an hour of 3d my eyes started to get tired. But it was rather fun shooting Bolt wearing a helmet.

Mario Kart 7 was a lot more fun for me, though I didn't get to play it as long. I tried the steering mode where you tilt the 3ds with 3d on, and it looked great, as long as I didn't try to tilt it too far. My eyes didn't get tired that time, but my arms sure did.

I also tried out a demo for Nintendogs+cats. It was just so CUTE! I loved making the kitten purr, and both of them chasing after balloons and boomerangs and such. However, I think if I actually got the game I would eventually get bored with it.

Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.

Has anyone here played any games made by PopCap? I really like some of their games, like Bejeweled, Zuma, and Peggle. They have games for all sorts of systems. They recently got bought by EA, but nothing has really changed about them, except maybe for having EA port some more of their games. EA had already ported some of their games to a few other devices, so it's not really new for them to do that, it's just that they are porting more of their games than they used to.

Also, has anyone here played Sonic Generations? My brother owns (and has close to 100% on) it. Also, has anyone here gotten any other Sonic games? I'm currently waiting for the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II.

Has anyone here gotten Mario Party 9? If you have, can you tell me if you like it? Because I currently don't have it, I would like to know what someone else thinks about it.

:-! WARNING: The rest of this post will talk about a game series you probably have not heard of, and it is best for players who like really old (like the original Super Mario Bros. old) games.

Okay, continuing...

My personal favorite game series is the BIT.TRIP series. My favorite in the series that I have tried (demo or full version) is BIT.TRIP Runner. It is a rhythm platformer where you constantly run, but you have to do the jumping, kicking, sliding, and springing yourself. It can get really complicated even in the early levels, but hard games are the kind I like, because I have so much skill in video games, most of them are at least a little bit easy to me. There is only one game over, and even then it is a secret, so you actually have to try to get it. I learned about the secret game over in two ways: 1. There is a achievement on steam for getting a game over, and 2. I have seen a YouTube video of someone getting it, so I know how to get it. The only reason I haven't gotten the game over is because I haven't reached the place where you can get it yet. If you own a Wii, you can download a demo for all of the games in the series, which is how I got to liking the series as much as I currently do.

I plan on getting BIT.TRIP Saga (which is a 3DS compilation of all of the games) very soon with the gift card I got for my birthday. And yes, I'm the brother Dinode was talking about who owns a 3DS (I have three brothers other than Dinode :P ). I was planning on getting the Wii game disc compilation, but then I got a 3DS, which I was not expecting, so I changed my mind to getting the 3DS compilation.

Has anyone here played any games made by PopCap?

Yes. ;)) I've played Bejeweled and back in college I was crazy addicted to Bookworm. I haven't played either of those for a long, long time. But I have very recently played Plants vs. Zombies, which is hilarious. ;))

My personal favorite game series is the BIT.TRIP series.

Oh yeah!! Someone else who has heard of the BIT.TRIP series!! ;)) I've not heard of the two you mentioned (though Runner sounds right up my alley). I have BIT.TRIP Beat, which rocks, quite literally. ;)) It's played on the Wii platform. I think my husband got another one (or maybe it was just the demo) but I haven't looked into it at all.

My video game life has been boring as of late. I've been playing Dungeon Defenders and that's it.... and barely even that. Oh, and Mousehunt on Facebook, but that goes without saying. ;))

A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy? Hospitality Committee

The other day, i finally finished Portal 2. I say "finally" not because it took me forever to finish, but because i've been interested in the Portal series for months. My brother played both while we were staying at a friend's house, but i never got around to it.

Shortly after Christmas, we got Portal 2 for the PS3, but i was insistent on playing the games in order, so i watched my brother play it a few times but valiantly held off playing it myself. Finally, a few weeks ago - or maybe a couple months - he got a Steam account, and i bought the first Portal game on that and downloaded it onto my computer. I have to say, i think i liked the second game better. The graphics were gorgeous.

Currently, i've been listening to "Exile Vilify", a song from the Portal 2 soundtrack, over and over again, when i'm not listening to an acapella version of the turret opera.

Anyone here play The Sims? I got The Sims 3 for Christmas, and it's been .. interesting.

I thought I was the only person on here that knew about it! Well, other than my brother. I knew he knew about it. :p I kinda had the warning because I thought no one on here would have heard about it...

Apparently I was wrong. I wonder if anyone else on here has heard about it before...

I play Bejeweled 2 Deluxe from time to time... Unfortunately when I transferred it from my old computer to my laptop I had to start the puzzles and endless mode all over again.

*has a sudden urge to play Bejeweled 2 :P *

Oh, I think I forgot to mention that I really like Bloons TD 5. For those of you who don't know, your objective is to pop balloons moving along the track with a (what you could call humorous) arsenal of towers. The weapons are things like darts, bombs, tacks, lasers, missiles, etc. So just about anything you can think of, and maybe a little more than you could think of. Why, there are even ninjas that throw shurikens.

*Suddenly feels like playing Bloons TD 5 and BIT.TRIP Runner. Hmm, what to play? What to play?*

*Decides on Bloons TD 5.*

Anyway...

wolfloversk,

PopCap's support site has info on how to get your old progress back.

wolfloversk, did you see how to transfer your save data? It could get your old progress back. You could still keep your new progress by renaming the progress file you currently have to something else. When you want to use the new progress, you could change the name of the old file, then change the name of the new one. Sorry if this is a little confusing, but it would work. If you need me to walk you through it, send me a PM.
