I recently bought Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, and once you learn the moves it is one of the BEST games ever! I think all hard core Star Wars fans need to buy it. If you don't know anything about Star Wars it might seem kinda crazy though.

I think Lego Star Wars is THE BEST! Especially the complete saga version!
I love how the people in the videos in between levels (Lego people, of course, and Lego everything) do random things like jump on dead battle droids just out of spite.

pickle- I agree!! Lego video games are the best! If you like Star Wars Lego games then you should know that they are putting out a new one called Lego Star Wars III The Clone Wars. I can't wait!

A few nights ago I was perusing the XBox Live store and noticed they had something called Game Room. The stuff looked free so I downloaded it, and I've been playing it when I can spare the time ever since.
It's supposed to give you a virtual 80's era arcade. You basically create your own arcade (which has 12 individual arcade "rooms", each of which can get their own theme) and for a few Microsoft Points download your choice of Classic Atari arcade titles, Atari 2600 games, Activision games (2600), and a slew of Intellivision games, as well as a few Konami titles. It's really been a trip down memory lane! Some of these machines I haven't seen in close to 20 years and the only one I've played in that time was Centipede...the rest (Asteroids, Millipede, Missile Command, Tempest, Lunar Lander, Crystal Castles, etc.) I haven't even seen since the mid-80's. They seem to add a new "pack" of new games each week, usually 1 or 2 arcade games, and the rest mixed titles from the Atari or Intellivision consoles. It's been a real blast visiting these old friends.
There's something magical about the sound of 20 arcade machines playing at the same time, it's this musical cacaphony that I always found so pleasing to the ear. If you're into 80's arcade games, look no further!
Here's the trailer...I wish they'd show a bit more, but you get the idea.

I just bought call of duty 4: modern warfare today. It was only 15 bucks for the pc. This. game. is. awesome. Short single player but the multiplayer is amazing
Hey good to know. You wouldn't happen to know the video card requirements?
Not long now before mario galaxy 2 comes out in Australia. I won't be getting it though sicne i only have 20 dollars.
Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic is the best video game I've played since Baulder's Gate (the original computer game). Roll playing has always been on my list of top any kind of game. I once game-mastered for the newest Star Wars Role Playing Game but some of my players got into this messy love triangle and it just ended badly...
Shadowlander, I have something like that but I didn't get it from xbox live. I found an actual game disc that has so many games I've never even heard of, but my dad tried to play them all but complained about the paddle. He said something about a paddle with two arrows and a ball that spun to move around. I can't beat any of them either so I guess I don't have much room to talk.
Star Wars and Indiana Jones Legos, the video game. Nothing is cooler than Legos but I really am no good at those games, so i don't really play them, but they are super fun to watch.

^^ I want Knights of the Old Republic really bad! But I need to save my money for The Force Unleashed II when it comes out. I'll probably blow the money before TFU II comes out anyway, so maybe I'll buy Knights of the Old Republic instead.

They're doing a sequel to The Force Unleashed? But I thought the
I absolutely adore the KotOR games. Probably my top two games of all time though I do prefer the first one to the second. The second game, though the gameplay mechanics are a bit more fun, really lacked on the storyline front. I understand that they ran short on time and so some things had to be cut. It's a shame, because it really would have been an incredible game had they finished the story. I'm seriously considering playing the sequel MMO, The Old Republic, when it comes out despite already being a LotRO player.
An M-rated LotR game? Not sure I like the sound of that. But then most of the games that have been released have either been awful or didn't really attempt to stick to the book. Lord of the Rings Online is the only one I've played that felt like the developers had done more than read a brief summary of the storyline.
An M-rated LotR game? Most of them are already rated M in Australia (for violence and supernatural themes). But then again we have a different rating system here.
Currently watching:
Doctor Who - Season 11
^^hm.. I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday
I think the biggest problem with KotOR is when you're playing on the 360 it's pretty glitchy so I keep the old console set up so I can have a less frustrating game play.
LotR...Rated R? Well I guess it was bound to happen eventually, if you think about it it's really quite violent and all the world wants is more gore.
What if the new Force Unleashed II is about the Emperor's Hand? I think that would be insanely cool.

TFU II is about Starkiller. Somehow he survived or was cloned. I'm still not sure which. All I know is he is in it, and he's looking for Juno or something. You should look it up. It's coming out this October on the 26th I think.

The Force Unleashed was a major letdown to me. Initially the game showed great promise; you get to play the beginning as Vader and it takes place between Episodes 3 & 4, of which not much is known except the Jedi were being hunted down. The plot isn't bad and the game's visual effects are very, very nice.
But it's games like this that made me hate consoles for so long. TFU is almost all flash and gimmick and snazzy combat moves. You start at the beginning of each map, cruise through laying waste to Stormtroopers, Rebel soldiers, or any other number of cannon fodder, and occasionally you can fight a boss or mini-boss. You have to learn hyper-kinetic, razzle-dazzle fighting styles, which amounts to having to memorize a bunch of button-mashing combos as you play. And then by the time you do manage to memorize a few key moves the game is over. OVER...in 12 hours! I looked at my TV screen in awe...not a good kind of awe but more like a "you've got to be kidding me" way. Thank goodness this was my brother's game and I didn't have to shell $60 out for it. So, to recap. If you choose to get TFU you're essentially buying a free-roaming version of Mortal Kombat (which has lots of button mashing combinations to memorize too, although I felt the game at least was interesting) and walk around terrorizing the Star Wars universe. For about 12 hours.
Oh LucasArts...how far you have fallen.
KotoR 1 was an excellent game and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. A lot of RPG games come and go, and a few have been attempted in the Star Wars universe, but few really managed to pull it off like KotoR 1 did. KotoR 2...don't get me wrong, the game was fun and I of course enjoyed it and played it to the end, but the end itself was a digital pile of letdown and confusion. My understanding is there was some kind of trouble at the programming office towards the end, which is why the ending was so disjointed, out of place, and made little sense (if any). Let's hope that if they have a KotoR 3 it doesn't follow the same route as #2, and especially not take any pointers from TFU.

^^ Well, I admit TFU is not my favorite game, but I still enjoyed it. I will be buying KotOR instead of TFU II when it comes out anyway. Would anyone know which would be better to buy? KotOR for PC or Xbox?
