I stumbled across the Eureka Christmas special On Demand today. It's hard to say much about it without offering spoilers, except that it's not part of the season 4 story arc and is quite different from the usual show. Watch for Jim Parsons (Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory) in a guest role.
I'm hooked on [OUAT], it has gotten better which each episode. And you all must have been BIG on Lost to see a 'reference' quite frequently. I loved Lost, but it's the last thing on my mind when I sit down to this show. Love it.
Guilty as charged. Part of it is because Once Upon A Time was so strongly promoted as "From. The. Writers. of. LOST." But I do appreciate the show on its own merits too.
Re Gymfan's first spoiler on the last page:
Bookwyrm's earlier spoiler:
On the significance of names: Sometimes the episode name (which is not displayed on-air but can be found in listings) offers other clues about things. For example,
I too am wondering how long they'll be able to continue the series once people's memories start coming back and the curse begins to unravel.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Guilty as charged.

Ah well! I hadn't realized it was promoted that way, totally makes sense now.
I also hope they don't drag it out too much, I know they want several seasons at least but it shouldn't be as long as say... Lost.
On tonight's Once Upon A Time - (Do not read this spoiler before seeing the episode )
Still, a pretty good episode.

There were so many things I had never ever seen or heard of before. The Gemini missions were particularly interesting to me. Gemini VI and VII flying together through space only feet apart. Gemini VIII getting a thruster stuck on and spinning wildly through space before Neil Armstrong could get it under control. My husband and I were like "How have we never heard of this stuff before????" I imagine that it paled in comparison to Apollo 13 so nobody remembered to talk about it.
*raises hand* I've heard of it before! Oh but wait... I've been obsessed with the history of the U.S. Space Program since I was 14.
@ self
I too enjoyed the series. Gemini is a fascinating period as it was the time where NASA not only caught up to but passed the Russians in readiness for the lunar missions. Buzz Aldrin was key in that because of the hand holds he developed for spacewalking.
Ok... back to tv topics...
So I am another totally hooked on Once Upon A Time! Love that show!
On tonight's Once Upon A Time - (Do not read this spoiler before seeing the episode
)
SpoilerIt was billed as 'someone in Storybrooke is going to die." Unfortunately, the episode title, which I saw beforehand ("The Huntsman") proved a pretty big spoiler. It was more a matter of seeing how and when he was going to die.Still, a pretty good episode.

Apparently there are no more new episodes till January!?!?! How will I survive?!!!
I love Once Upon a Time! & I'm not really surprised so many fellow Narnia fans do too. It's kinda right up our alley.
Last night's episode...

I cried when he died. Funny thing is, I was less sad over his actual death and more over the fact that Emma had finally let down her "wall" .... only for him to DIE. How does anyone heal from that? Poor Emma.
On another note, anyone else think this is a really pretty show? The filmography blows me away, especially in the fairytale world. There's been some scenes I've just watched over and over because they were so beautiful (like Prince Charming on his horse in the pilot). The people, colors, and costumes are gorgeous too.

Last night's episode...
SpoilerI was actually really surprised by Graham's death. I knew beforehand that someone would die in this ep, but I thought he was safe because Jamie Dornan is signed on for all 22 episodes of the season.I guess that either means he's gonna be resurrected somehow, or we'll be seeing a lot of him in the fairytale flashbacks.
Oh, and what was Mr. Gold doing in the woods?

outlier: Oh, I didn't know imdb could be edited. That doesn't give me much reason to hope, then.

When it comes right down to it, though, nothing that man does makes sense to me and I love it that way.

SpoilerMr. Gold is an enigma. "Gardening," in the middle of a forest? I don't think so.Maybe he was trying to dig down to the fairytale world, or something?
After all, Snow's glass coffin is way down there someplace, and I heard an interesting theory that it could be a portal back to Fairytale. On the other hand, maybe he was burying a body. I wouldn't put it past him.
Who knows what Mr. Gold was doing. It's Mr. Gold! He could be doing anything and whatever it is, I'm sure it's underhanded, slightly illegal, and suspicious.
By the way, does Mr. Gold know where he is/who he is/about the Fairytale world and what all has happened? I mean, when he was in prison, he told Regina he wanted wealth and she had to do whatever he wanted if he said "please". However, next, he said that after the curse, he wouldn't remember whatever she promised anyway. But then, in that scene a few episodes back with the apple tree, him, and Regina, he says "please" when he wants to leave and Regina lets him. So I'm not really sure if he knows everything that's going on or not. Or if he knows some but not all. It has me confused.

I happened upon one of the many Hallmark Channel made-for-TV Christmas-themed movies this evening. This one ("Call Me Mrs Miracle") caught my attention as it has Jewel Staite in a supporting role. I only watched a few minutes, but her character had much of the bubbly nature of her Kaylee in Firefly but without the engineer attached.
She even said "Aye, aye, captain" a couple times, but tied it to a Star Trek reference rather than Firefly.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Well, we've decided to cancel our cable (... eventually) and have gone with a Roku box, which allows us to access several different on-demand media streamers such as Netflix, Amazon Video, Hulu Plus, etc. Once I can figure out how to wrangle more free time from my schedule (hahahahahahahaha!), there are a number of TV shows i'd like to catch up on.
One i have managed to watch a little more of is White Collar. I like it; nice touch of comedy, and the relationship between Peter and Neal is a lot of fun to watch. Not as good as Leverage in my opinion, but still worth watching.
Speaking of Leverage, only three episodes left in this season. Their season finales have a bad habit of being cliffhangers (and involving explosions), but at least season three's was a bit more of a surprise than a suspenseful what-happens-next kind of ending (at least in my opinion). Here's hoping it's more like that, since season five doesn't start up until Summer 2012.

Do you guys ever watch old TV shows? My favorites are:
Ironside
the A Team
& Columbo http://vimeo.com/30281164
Somebody, anybody? lol

AslansChild, as you know, I love the A-team. However, I'm not sure how I feel about you calling it "old". I was born in '83, when it would have been on it's first or second season... and I am NOT old. Therefore, the show can't be either.
.............
As for me, in addition to still watching Once Upon a Time, I'm trying to keep up with: Merlin and Switched at Birth. I'm sorely behind on New Girl and Grimm right now, though. (haven't watched them on hulu in awhile)
However, I've recently(ish) started watching reruns of a show (thanks to TBS) that I think has been mentioned in here before... The Big Bang Theory. And it's so awesome! If anyone wants to talk about it, feel free to discuss here, or pm me!
Tonight is the series finale of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I've followed the show since its beginning, and it's really sad to see it end. However, I couldn't think of a better way to end the series than to watch the EMHE team rebuild Joplin. Will any of you be tuning in?
