The Bourne movies are by far my favorite "secret agent" movies

Just watched Sherlock Holmes, not as bad as the trailers made it look, but not as good as the books(not that I'm surprised). But all in all a very fun, witty, enjoyable movie. I'm eagerly awaiting Sherlock Holmes 2.

I just watched the 4 hour BBC Pride and Prejudice again - and I loved it again, though I finally admit that the new Keira Knightley one is the best.
In all of the different versions, there are spectacular things. I wish they could be added together! The first few time's I watched this one, I fell most ardently in love with Mr. Darcy - he's so amazing!! Completely impossible and unrealistic - so solemn and handsome! I call him the Beethoven Darcy. :)
But I didn't like him quite as much this time - Matthew Macfadyen is better, I admit it.
But it's still a great movie - and now I want to see the six hour one, and the super old laughable one, and the new one. :) Yay for Austen!!!

Ha! I admit nothing of the kind. But then you all know my relative dislike of the newest P&P. ;)

I've been watching an awful lot of movies recently. May update this post with my thoughts on some of them later.

Checked out several movies the last couple days. Finals weeks with only one Final each day makes it a good chance to catch up on movies you want to see but didn't the time.

The Sorcerer's Apprentice: Interesting movie with the typical fantasy put in modern day run. Special effects are decent, and the Fantasia's reference with Mickey and the Mops was cute. Plot was weak, acting was par at best. For me, it was a one timer on DVD, and I am glad I didn't see it in the theater.

I decided to give Kick-Ass a shot. I was skeptical for excessive sexual references and language, but suprised. It definately was better that I expected. There are still a few explicit sexual references and language is out there, but definately not to the level I was expecting. There is violence and blood, typical of many action flicks.
Kick-Ass previews did make it out to be somewhat of a comedy (at least to me) and it tries to have some comedic parts, but it is a much more serious film. It shows the serious side effects of trying to play 'super-hero'. The action is cool and realistic for the given training of the respective 'heros'.

I've also seen Scott Pilgrim vs the World. I really could do without the sex reference with the character Wallace, but aside from that, this movie is a total video gamer movie. I love the gamer music, game announcer, and all the references to Mortal Combat, Zelda, Final Fantasy, Arcades, and many other games. I don't recommend it for those that don't play games because 90% of the references will go over your head. The action is great, totally gamer-style unrealistic, but fun. This would be a buy movie for me if the sex stuff wasn't in it.

Be watching for the release of my spiritual warfare novel under a new title: "Call to Arms" by OakTara Publishing. A sequel (title TBD) will shortly follow.

In progress of re-watching LWW and PC. PC has to wait until tomorrow due to a 4:00 Final today. But tomorrow's Final isn't until 4:00pm also, so I have pleanty of time to watch them.

FenceforJesus: Kick-A** was awesome! I love how they made that film! Plus Aaron Johnson looked funny there. I wish I had some training like Hit Girl. :|

Elanor: Wow! Another P&P fan! I just love the story! I mean, Jane Austen really is a great writer. She really got me into her works... So, beautiful and very... "lovable"! ;;)

I know, it's so great, and really well written. And I enjoy all the different movie adaptions, though I can't say I "like" all of them. ;)

Finished Prince Caspian just now, credits soon to roll. I really enjoyed it to be sure, but I prefer LWW in every way. It's so magical, whereas this one isn't (which I know is the point) :p

Can't wait until tomorrow for Voyage of the Dawn Treader :D

EDIT: yeah, couldn't help it. i just fell to temptation. I know they say that's a bad thing. But I think it good this time ;) Gonna see Narnia at midnight tonight :D

Elanor: Which scene is your favorite? Mine is the

Spoiler
kissing scene and the second proposal scene.... of the new P&P one
. And I find Jane Bennet very pretty. Have you read the book?

What a very hard question - let's see . . I love when they're at Pemberly, and yes, the second proposal. :)
I've read it many many times, along with all of Austen's other books. How about you?

nah. Never got the chance to, only Pride and Prejudice. I tried watching Persuasion but I wasn't in the mood to finish it. Did you watch that movie?

I just watched... again, Chicken Little. I really am fond of this movie since it is a family type of genre. I love the concept and the characters are so funny. :D

I watched the newer version of Persuasion, which I heard was the worst one. But I liked it.

And I just watched a movie called The Voyage of the Dawntreader - and I loved it. :)

LOL Elanor. I haven't watched it yet :|.

There's a new one?? Is it an Indie Film? Is the age like the ones in P&P or older?
