I think I figured this thing out. But I am not sure that I care for the New Look so much. I liked the old colour format better.

I also preferred the reply tools from the old format with my aging eyeballs (though I expect many may be happier that I no longer have access to different font sizes , And how am I supposed to bold or italicize words, I don't like to use all caps instead because it looks like shouting. I also liked the old smilies better, they were cuter, though I like some of the additions; but, Waaaaah I want my Yin Yang symbol back.

Oh well, I guess I'll just have to deal with it. *sigh* *grumble**...newfangled changes...

Well the colors are way different but i don't usually type in color font anyway. I have always wondered what narniaweb looked like in 2004 but it didn't come up when i went on this travel the net backwards though time machine.(can't think of the real name)

If I use the "Post Reply" option instead of just writing in the box below the forum, when I click to submit my post, it just refreshes the page but doesn't post my post. I have to click it again before it'll work. Any ideas why this is happening?

Is there a way to directly link to posts on this forum? It took me forever to figure out how to do it on the last forum so I thought I'd ask to save myself some time.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find that when they click on a link, it will ocassionally (1 time in 10) open the link in both a new window and in the current window? If not, it may be something wrong with my computer.

Apart from that at the moment, absolutely love the new forum. As with the movie news, its often easier to just comment on the things that are wrong, and the things that are brilliant just get taken for granted and left unsaid, so i would like to take this oppurtunity to say well done to everyone involved!

Use Normal Reply, not Quick Reply. The Biu buttons are attached to the top of the reply box, on the left. Or, do it as ForeverFan suggests. This is another nice thing, I might add. I could never get the format buttons to work with the old software and Safari. I had to type everything manually. Very happy now.

You still do! Use the [size=] tags. The range is, effectively, from 50 to a maximum of 200.

Did you try selecting the option to log you in automatically on each visit? That worked for me.

Same here! I don't recall it on the other forum, or at least, it wasn't as obvious as this feature. It's very helpful.

I believe beneath the text box in the Post Reply window the option to "Upload Attachment" should work.

EDIT: Just a quick thing, I've been messing with the e-mail subscriptions and I've had a few that come through with direct links to the IP address domain instead of the NarniaWeb domain. It's just a bit confusing.

Is it still possible to host signature banners on Narniaweb, as with the old forum, or do we have to host our banner images on an external site?

There doesn't seem to be any file upload option except the one for avatars.

No, the file manager of yore is history, I'm afraid. All signature images will have to be uploaded via third-party host.

Yes Lady_Liln, I did select the automatic log in button when I entered my user-name and password. Still no juice!

I'm having a lot of trouble getting into the chatroom. I'll login, and then about 5 seconds later I'm automatically logged out. What am I doing wrong?
