It does the same thing to me, Nioniel. I think it's just a glitch in the system. Just be careful when you send PMs that it directs you to the right page, the one that says your message has been submitted. You can check which messages have been sent using your Outbox (where messages you sent that are not yet read go) and your Sent messages (as long as the recipient has not deleted it).

Fencer, did you ever get your inbox situation straightened out with deleting messages?

What does it mean when it says there is a message in the "out box"? Does this just mean that the message has been sent or what?

The outbox appears to be a temporary folder for what you just sent. I think it moves to your sent box when the recipiant opens it.

THANK YOU! I was sooo confused... I sent somebody a message and it kept going into the Outbox, so I resent it half a dozen times probably. I could not figure it out until it finally left the outbox and went into sent items!

You can delete messages in your Outbox, too — nice if you accidentally hit "send" too quickly

Ok, so we've discovered what might be one of the most annoying things about this forum......

We noticed that it didn't change with the time change this past weekend, so we looked up why and found that each individual person has to go into their settings and fix it themselves. *rolls eyes*

Anyways, if you would like your time stamp to be accurate, go to your User Control Panel, Board Preferences tab, and where it says Summer Time/DST is in effect: check No.

The above is for the Americans and Canadians but you can adjust to the correct settings wherever you live.

I was able to delete my PM's but from another computer. I have no idea what it was but I can only guess it was my operating system (XP Ultimate, which seems like a Beta test of Vista). I am going to be looking at a new computer towards graduation (my current one is already almost 5 years old and can't really handle the programs I will need as a Computer Science Major). Maybe that will fix it. We'll see.

A quick question: Is Tirian able to control which ads go on?
I just find it a bit odd that while Narniaweb has a very GREAT rule on indecent pictures, etc, there is a certain ad at the top which if posted in the forum, I'm sure would probably be deleted. (It's of a woman in some "exercise" type clothes, running.)

I'm just kind of wondering about this--etc. I don't know.

It was mentioned earlier, but the Mods and admins do try to keep up with the ads, but from time to time, some sneak past the automatic blocks and they have to manually add said ads to a block list. But since they can't be on NWeb 24/7, sometimes others like you and 220 see them before the admins can block them. Just let them know you're seeing it and they'll take care of it. It's possible they already know about it, but letting them know will confirm if they have successfully blocked it or not.

Yes, do please let us know if you see an inappropriate ad. We need a screencap of the ad itself (just press the Print Screen button on your keyboard and then paste into Paint or Word) and we also need the link that it leads to (so yes, you have to click on it, sorry). Send us both of those things and we will be able to block the ads.

I'm having a few problems sending PM's with pictures. Everytime I try to attach a picture file into my PM it never works! It always says, "The extension BMP/JPG/GIF etc, etc, is not allowed"!! I've tried shrinking all my pictures thinking that the size may have been the problem... it's still not working.

I don't know what to do since it pretty much won't allow any of what I listed above. Is anyone else having this problem?? And, is there anything I can do about it?

There are for sure things that are a lot better about this one like the smileys lol I love those! but all in all I would say the old one is a little better But I still like this one!!

Referring to the "inappropriate ad" topic earlier on this page, I thought I'd let you know I saw one; I don't know if it's the same one but it looks kinda like Queen Susan's description of a running woman in "exercise" type clothes. Just to alert you if it is.

EDIT: Oh, we have to click on it in order to report it. OK. In any case, it's gone for the moment so I'll see if it comes back.
