I always have to wear a tight singlet under it because you are meant to due to the gap at the front. If i was to wear something loose it would not look good at all. I have only worn black under it with my red jeans. what colour do you forumers think would look best?

Did you end up using some things not from Nordstrom in the set in the end, or not?

Yeah, I ended up using flowers and the heart thing from other random places. All of the clothing and jewelry, though, is from Nordstrom. :)

A couple of questions for fashion experts. We have some disagreements in my family about what does and doesn't go together.

1. Do black and blue jeans go together?
2. Do black and brown go together?
3. Is it okay to wear short socks, flats, and capris?

1. I'm a bit confused by this question, as you can only wear one pair of jeans at a time. :P If you mean, do black and blue go together? Yes!

2. I'm a bit leery about this one. I don't like to ever have a written-in-stone fashion "rule", but I have to admit I haven't ever seen this done that well. I'd avoid it. :P

3. Again, can't see this going over well. But I don't want to rule it out on the offchance that someone tries it and looks fabulous...but I'd say, if you're into safe style, don't go here. ;))

The only way I'd ever wear sandals with socks is if the sandels are a high wedge, and the sock a knee sock, with a mini skirt. Otherwise, sandals with socks are a no-no. :P

I meant is it fashionably acceptable to where blue jeans with a black top. (Obviously not ones that are so dark as to considered navy)

1: Definitely. I love dark blue jeans with a black top.
2: I think so. But there has to be a lot of each color.
3: No. :P

Here in Moscow the summer fashion is long and flowing! This is really nice because recently the fashion has been mini skirts or really short shorts, and I don't feel comfortable in either. What has been really in style are these long skirts, usually white. Here is a picture of wild rose and I in these skirts

I was wondering if they where these kind of skirts anywhere else?

I am wearing one right now!!!! I have found them at a outlet store in black and white. There called broom skirts. Mine is teal. If you dry them in a knot after you wash them they do this cool crinkle effect. I'm sure you could always make some too! Where I live, long dresses have come back more too! It a lot better than short shorts! :D

Yep, there are skirs like that here! Hmm... I always thought they were called peasant skirts. They used to be really in around here a few years ago, but then kind of slipped out. I loooove wearing them, but sadly gave away all mine, because I didn't feel like wearing them anymore... :P

I think they're called peasant skirts here, they were more popular a few years ago but people still wear them fairly often :)

Yes, they're peasant skirts. I know next to nothing about fashion but I know that much. There are many variaties. I think they look great - modest and tasteful.

I've seen a lot of people, especially in big cities, that wear peasant skirts - they're very in. I still can't make myself wear them around everyday; long just seems really fancy to me, and I don't want to be that. But I have one black one that I wear to church all the time, and I love it.

I don't know that much about and I'm not really into fashion, (in fact, I don't think I've ever even come in this thread before), but I happened to come in here and I must just say: I love that picture, and those types of skirts! I know what you mean about not feeling comfortable in really short shorts or mini skirts; I don't feel comfortable in these either. But the type of skirts that you and your sister are wearing (whatever they're called) are just gorgeous! If it's true that these are coming back "in", I'm very glad!

My sister's graduation dress was made out of that material. It was so beautiful! I'll try to find a picture of it. We call it her Peasant Dress. :)

*Tip-toes into the silent thread, her arms full of pretty links* :-$

Adorable dove grey boots.
Lovely pleated denim skirt.
Gorgeous scarlet dress for autumn.
Really cute red heels.
THIS is awesome.
Bright and crazy peasant dress that I'm currently in love with.

*Tip-toes quietly back out, leaving the links for the next passerby to stumble upon* ;))
