*woot woot* I feel so on top of things. I actually did the polyvore this time around!
Here tis:
My first thought at "Narnian Christmas" was LWW, and Lucy/Susan. Then I realized that probably everyone else was going to think of that too, so I should probably choose something different I thought Polly was a slightly not-mentioned-much character, and was inspired to do a Christmasy look for her. Everything has Victorian touches, because of the time period, but at the same time you could wear each item now without looking like you're attending a costume party.
The green velvet dress and embellished flats Polly could wear to a Christmas party, and the coat is perfect for ice skating. The long lacey skirt and cozy sweater would be lovely on Christmas morning while opening presents. And I'm kind of in LOVE with the boots.
I wanted to include some "nods" to Narnia, so she wears a green ring, and a necklace with a golden apple charm.

Ok Valiant Lucy, that is awesome and I SO nominate you for costume designer on MN...or any of them, for that matter! LOVE the boots! Where can I buy those?? lol

According to polyvore, that's where the boots can be found. Yeah, so not happening *weeps at the price*.
And, thanks!

So I, er, did this at work. Don't tell my boss. But I was bored stiff.
I tried to imagine what a human would wear Christmastime in Narnia. Didn't do too well on that part, imo, but I had so much fun with the backgrounds. Layering is awesome.

Wooow... love the fashion sense PrincessMia241! I just love the plaid skirt and the red jacket! A must have for the cold weather

@Sandy I know, isn't that sweater awesome? Want it so bad!
I wanted to post what I wore to the midnight showing of the Dawn Treader last night
It's kinda fuzzy, sorry http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb200/Becca322_photo/?action=view¤t=mms95picture.jpg
I was trying to do a Susan/schoolgirl inspired outfit. I wore a white button-up blouse gray cardigan with it's own tie, my gold Aslan necklace, plaid skirt, tights, and boots. No, she never wears black tights and high heeled boots, but it looked a lot better that way.
I liked the blouse/cardigan combo so much I'm wearing it to work with jeans/boots!

Wow! Nice beret! How much does that cost? Looks good with the jacket.
"Two sides of the same coin"
I got it for 14 bucks at H&M, Sandy...

And this necklace:

The tights are crazy awesome. They're surprisingly comfy, and pretty thick, so good for winter. The necklace looks even better in RL then on the website, the quality is super good for 15 bucks! I'm in love with it

Hi all!
Question, I was surfing polyvore the other day and came across http://www.yesstyle.com/en/home.html , it's a Japanese site that has lots of pretty clothes and fairly affordable prices. However, since I live in America I was wondering about how much duties on imported clothes cost. Does anyone know?
Thanks!

LadyCaeron, I don't think there's any specific duties, it pretty much depends on each retailer. I know some US sites either won't ship to Canada, or the shipping costs more then the order, practicly.
If you want to find out about shipping costs to somewhere, it's usually under the "help/customer service" section of the website. I think this may be what you're looking for here:

I like some of the fashions, others are too 'out there' for me. I definitely like the fashions more than my sis though.

Thanks Valiant_Lucy! I have taken the plunge, we shall see what befalls, hopefully by January 24. It's very exciting, but the 'one size' thing makes me a leetle bit nervous.
