G is short for the clothing store Guess. I love going there it's very retro.

Never heard of that store, We don't have them in Australia. Converse is the best show brand.

^Actually ILF, they are in Australia. I know we have quite a few stores in Victoria. And they're located in Sydney and QLD also -but from their website no Perth is listed, so maybe that's why you haven't heard of them.

Their stuff is another one of those designer brands; personally I'm not a huge fan of their clothing but their watches are really nice.

which set me back about $3 from an op shop near the beach (they're the best ones!). I know they cost me this because I still haven't taken off the tag, and I have not worn them anywhere yet. Why? That's a very good question.

Thanks for all the feedback on Rainbow sandals, I found it very interesting. DJP, I can see your friend trying to explain that his Rainbows were different than most flip flops. They're sort of thought of as special, but they really just are flip flops.
They are indeed a California company, so that probably explains why it seems to be a regional thing. Well, now you all know that if you want to look like a Californian, just grab a pair. Not that you'd ever want to look like one.

I know what you mean. I'm the same way. I love my shoes/boots with designs. I even have a pair of converse boots that almost goes up to your knees with laces and it's my colleges design. Go LSU!!

Haha, I always pictured the stereotypical Californian as a barefoot, laid back surfer dude with that archetype bleached hair and a love of driving down highways. I think this is largely the fault of the Beach Boys...

I was going to egt purple but they only had sizes that were miles to big. Red is still good though, i was going to get black but that was boring so i choose red, now i am plannign on getting a jacket to go with them.

What sort of jacket are you looking for, IlF? I'd suggest to go for something that's not too bright or patterned, cause the jeans are so, well, red.
