I like those. The color is really nice. I like the bottom of the first dress and the top of the second dress.

I tend to spend wear a lot of clothes that I get from Guess. The clothing I find is very Hollywood stylish and quirky in a great way. if I'm not wearing anything by Guess then I'll simply wear a tee shirt with skinny jeans and comfortable boots. I'm ready to go.

edit: ILoveFauns, the second blue dress is so gorgeous. I saw something like that three weeks ago, but I have noting formal coming up, but that's a keeper dress.

Cool mine isn't for a year. My sister is having hers in 2 weeks. She got her dress a while ago though.

Love your outfit, Shantih!
I like to imagine myself wearing cute little summer dresses...but I'm terrified of the wind gusting by and...blowing my skirt up :P I just don't see how other girls do it! It's like they have some magic powers (or maybe they just don't care?). My only short skirts are out of heavy material that is wind-resistant. You know those little weights you attach to the bottom of a tablecloth outside in the summer so it doesn't blow away? They should make them for the hems of skirts and dresses...or sew them right into them or something. ;))

^lol ;)) . That would be nice :p . I don't wear short dresses or skirts during the summer b/c I love running around, and I do it alot b/c you know summer means friends and games and so I don't think running around in a short dress is appropiate for outdoor games :p . But I'll wear dresses and skirt, just not too short.

I wear shorts in the summer, I don't have to worry about them being blown up.

I've read that when skirts were longer and heavier, some girls used bullets to weigh down their skirts. ;)) Personally, I'd be inclined to use washers from the hardware store inside the hem to make sure the skirt stays down. Space evenly, and stitch through the hole to make sure they stay in place.

The only reason I've never actually tried this is because I'm not sure what would happen if I tried to wash the skirt and I haven't come up with a good quick insert/removal plan.

Or you wear shorts under your skirt. ;)

I do wear shorts underneath. But still, I prefer my skirt to stay down :p . Washers are a good idea though...maybe you can use that iron on hemming stuff the first time you try it and if the washers work fine jsut sew the hem up :p .

^What are 'vans'? I'm guessing some sort of shoe..

With the weather the way it is here I'd never get to wear shorts otherwise. I got a new skirt and top today, I might take a photo later. It's the first time in ages I've bought an actual outfit, rather than something random.

Haha well here it's usually hot enough to wear shorts by themselves, so I'm debating whether winter shorts-and-tights will look cute and sassy or silly-why-don't-you-wear-jeans-instead?

And cute outfit, I really like that skirt.^^ I'm also guilty of buying random pieces -hence why my wardrobe is only about 50% wearable. But it's fun hanging on to that hope that you'll find something to match it one day.

I was at the op shop on Friday and found a cute older handbag, in that orange-y shade of brown. I like it alot; unfortunately so does my sister. It's currently in her room. Also unfortunate was that I found no good books.

On a side note, this girl's blog is pretty darn amazing if you are inspired by vintage looks: esmeandthelaneway.com

Vans are the coolest shoes ever!

Once I started wearing vans I haven't worn much else since. Now any shoe that has to be laced up feels like such a hassle to me :p
