I forget to mention your links, Glenstorm. There were so many of them I can't remember which was which in your list, but I loooved the sort of mustard yellow "Glassflower Cardi". I could NEVER in a million years pull off that color, but it's so pretty! It'd go really well with that red short sleeved dress you also linked to...

^the red dress is my favorite! I'd die of happiness if I got it . The sweater is lovely too *aaaah* Anthropologie's clothes are too gorgeous! Have you seen their new "Just Rosy" collection?

Ooh I've missed this thread! Just popping by because I need to find a golfing outfit for a 21st I have coming up (yes, a party at a golf course). So the dress theme is golfy.
...And I wondered if anyone had any ideas for what girl golfers (is that an oxymoron I wonder) to wear? All I have in my head is plaid, plaid, and tucked in shirts. Not terribly appealing...
p.s. Those Anthropologie links were cool; but there's something about their designs that I just don't personally care for. Which works out seeing as we don't have that store in Oz anyway...

I've never been golfing before, at least not actual golfing, StudyMate...hm. I always think of golfing being fairly preppy, like Lacoste-ish preppy (not sure if that's more of a tennis brand then golf though). Lots of plaid, I guess but pale colors in general...whites and pastels maybe? Something fresh and outdoorsy and...preppy? Sorry I'm not much help!

I don't know how formal you party will be, Studymate, but I would wear a shirt like this:

paired with shorts like this (yes, I know, plaid, but plaid bermudas are still very cool and sporty):

shoes like these:

and perhaps a straw fedora to ward off the sun:

I just got this and wore it on St. Paddy's Day:

It's good with my thick black belt and the sleeves rolled up halfway.

Lucy P.,I love that shirt! I really need to get some plaid...
Here's my Easter dress!

It's about two inches two low for me on my,um...chest,so I'll be wearing a white sweater with it. Well,I guess it's more of a cardigan than a sweater. It's not on the site yet,so I can't post a pic yet.
^that's really nice Lark! Idk what I'm wearing, probably what I wore last year. It's not totally my style (my mom bought it) but whatever . It's like a lime green with white polka dots and it has a really nice scoop neck that's not low, thankfully. I would like it better if it was a bit shorter. It's like mid-calf. I think it would look better if it was just a little below the knee but anyway...
nice outfit Lucy P! I would pretty much wear that anysay
Cute Easter dress ^^! Thanks for the advice Val, and for those pics Lucy P! I actually really like those shorts and the hat is a good idea. I ended up finding some grey sort of woolen shorts with pastel plaid lines (I think I bought them from an op shop like yonks ago!). So I'll most likely wear those with some sort of pastel top. And maybe some volleys for shoes. Although I was eyeing off some cute plaid skirts...just don't know where I'd wear them again.
In other news, I bought this top when I was meant to be not shopping:

I don't know if that worked, but I think it looks a little more flattering on than in the pic and I'm sure I'll wear it all through the winter.

That yellow dress is very cute! I love the buttons. (And that's an interesting blog, too).
All the winter clothes are starting to appear in the shops, and I'm pondering all the crazy tights/stocking/over the knee sock patterns that are everywhere. I think I'll invest, if I see a pattern I like.
(found this funky tights website, if you want some examples: http://www.lovecolourtights.co.uk/tight ... st.asp?PT=%&PS=%&PC=%&PN=3&MR=20&ST=funky)
I was at the op shop yesterday and found this lovely fisherman's skirt! (Bali/Thai pants converted into a skirt) I don't know whether anyone here shares this love of those things, but they are so comfy and I got into them when I was in Africa -light, breezy but still modest. It was a bit pricey (for an op shop) at $8 -so people here must be catching on.

They are all awsome, lol i would love a pair of those tights.
Looking at the Betty Draper pictures, I couldn't help but think that the picture in the middle of the collage as a variation of Alice's blue dress. I'm not sure why. I guess the one just reminded me of the other.

I'm starting to get back into the wedding dress mood. One of my friends has a pending proposal, and its set me exploring this season's designs. I may have to post some of them soon.....
Avatar thanks to AITB
Hmmm...yeah, Alice's dress has the same sillhoette (ugh, spl? ) as Betty's dress.
I love tights I have grey plaid, navy blue (sheer), purple (matte), BRIGHT blue (not sheer but not matte), black sheer-ish with horozontal stripes, black sheer-ish with black dots. I'd love to get some black ones with a floral pattern, and some with a (small) fishnet weave.
Ahh, wedding dresses XD Don't even get me started on them!

A 'pending proposal' hmm? That's hilarious. And great, congrats to her! My best friend just got married, and she spent ages leafing through magazines, browsing the net etc...but ended up getting it custom made. It was pretty unique looking, with some vine action happening about the sleeves and a very open back (she looked kind of Greek goddess-y but the dress was slightly poofy rather than being a straight column drop). And browsing is very time consuming and slightly addictive; have fun with that.
(this is completely irrelevant, but ILoveFauns, I noticed you mentioned Kmart and Aussie dollars in the make-up thread; so it's nice to meet a fellow Aussie on here! )
Val, those spotty stockings sound tre cool, I'm willing to try spots I think...and maybe the floral-y types as well. My sister has these black lace floral footless things...but I think that's overdoing it.
