I'm already ready for it to be fall. . .
Kind of ironic as summer hasn't even really arrived here yet.
We've been having some funny pop up storms move through Kansas lately. Monday night we had a storm move through that dumped 2.5" of rain in 2 hours. That's not all that impressive compared to other places, but that's kind of rare here. Lots of street flooding.
This afternoon, we had another storm move through and dump more rain, just over half an inch in an hour.
We've barely had temps into the 90Fs this year, let alone 100Fs, which is what we're normally at by now. Not complaining at all.
Kind of ironic as summer hasn't even really arrived here yet.
I never claimed to be rational when it comes to weather preferences . Fall is just such a better time of year.

You know how varied the temperature is in Western Australia when it is 30C in Broom(north end of the state) and -2C in some place near Albany(south end). It is currently 10C in perth. I am somewhat enjoying this weather.
Looks to be another stormy, rainy day here. Lots of flood watches and warnings in western KS. In some ways that's good because even after all this rain, a good portion of the state is still in drought. But I hope the flooding is limited to street flooding and such.
It's supposed to get up to 93F today, but I don't know... it's cloudy and rainy. We'll see. (If it does it's going to be horribly, miserably humid.)
A series of sparkling crystal clear cold days on the Outer Zone of Emerald City. Yesterday morning it was -5 degrees celsius. Some dark rain clouds threatened a storm approaching, but nothing doing, though the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. And yes, it seems like Kansas is sharing its drought conditions with parts of Oz.
It hasn't been that long since we last had snow, but -5C sounds pretty awesome to me right now. By some standards it's not been that hot here yet (we have yet to hit the season's first 90F/32C) but with all this rain it's been extremely humid.
A friend invited me over for a fire this evening but more torrential rain fell (another day, another inch of fresh rain). I don't recall the last time we had such a long wet period (we had serious flooding back in 1993 but for some reason I don't remember it all that well). We'd be glad to share with those of you who need it.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
It hasn't been too terribly hot here, but the humidity levels are insane. You step outside for a moment and you're just covered in sweat. The air is so saturated that it just clings to your body and makes you feel icky. Every night you can just see the hazy orange air that's due to the insane humidity.
A coworker of mine used to describe this as "Mugly" weather (Muggy + Ugly) and I'm inclined to agree, although I still prefer my analogy to "liquid armpit."

"Mugly" makes me think a little of Harry Potter, but I certainly know of the weather you mean! *cringes* One meteorologist here called it "air you can wear."
Incredibly we did not set the record for the wettest June ever here, coming in just shy of the 1874 record. However, many towns here did set that record. Flood waters are beginning to recede in many spots, if slowly.
Thanks to our neighbors to the northwest (Canada), we'll have a few days of unseasonably cool weather (read: wonderful!), with highs around 70F/21C) and very comfortable dew points. The Twin Cities has not yet hit 90F/32C this summer, and that's fine with me. (I'm baffled by these local TV personalities who gripe about it not being hot and sweltering after a cold winter. )

I agree. All winter long, you hear the local weather people and newscasters saying "Can't wait for summer!" When they get what they want, they complain about the heat.
Much better to be a winter lover and only complain in one out of the four seasons

I do not look forward to December-mid march weather-wise at all. Though I have got use to it over my life(since I was 7, since Tassy summer isn't all that extreme). I have some rather horrid memories of nearly sweating to death at night when I lived in Queensland. I had a metal bunk bed, and I use to grip the sides, just to touch something cool.
All the weather people hear do is complain when it is raining and than complain when we don't get enough.
Mugly?
I must say, that that about sums up some of the days we have had. While the heat has stayed away, for the most part, there have been more than a few days where a cool soak in the mudhole was the only escape.
There was a bit of a fear that bad weather might outdo the local fireworks tonight, but it appears to be holding off. We had some humidity, but a fair breeze held it in check, along with the mosquitos.
After a veeeeery long spell of bad weather. (constant rain and cold wind) the weather finally remembered what season it is supposed to be and brought the sun back right now it's a good mixture of cloudy and sun which keeps it from being to hot and doesn't make it too cold either. They are promising a thunder storm at the end of next week, so the weather should get rather hot and humid before it hits.

haha, hear hear some people are just impossible to please, are they not?
Which is why I love spring and autumn best (spring I like more though.) it's not blistering heat or freezing cold. I actually don't mind the heat so much, I guess one could call me a born winter hater If there is one thing I can't stand is freezing temperature. (which given my climate is not so cool, seeing as it's cold more often than it is hot )
always be humble and kind
Well if you want winter it is here. Not nearly as cold as either Russia or USA/Canada, I'll agree. But cold enough. Increasingly heavy frosts on the front lawn and temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius of a morning. But no rain.
We are expecting a really cold snap on Wednesday. It will be at ILF's end of Australia just now, and will cross the continent in a couple of days.
I can say it was pouring today. I had to do my washing too. The laundrette requires me to go out in the open so I had to rush across to put my clothes in the washer, rush back to put them in the dryer, than try to avoid getting my freshly clean clothes wet on the way back.
Hot weather here to stay for a while. Temperatures the last 6 days have been 96F/35.6C to 99.5F/37.5F.
