Bella: Ah yes, Narniawebbers... *sighs*
I didn't include any, because, even though I would LOVE to meet some--there's too many to choose from. ;)) I'm sure I could think of quite a few over 5...

1. Stonewall Jackson. I'm partial to southerners (being one myself). He was a godly Christian man, a great general, and he loved his wife.
2. Robert E. Lee. Another godly Christian man, great General, and loving father and husband. I hope I'm directly related to him, or to Stonewall Jackson.
3. R. L. Dabney. A great southern theologian, and Stonewall Jackson's army pastor (can't remember the term for that right now).
4. All the apostles (sorry!)
5. William Tyndale. He translated the New Testament into English, and was martyred as a result. We all owe a great debt of gratitude to him for his tireless, courageous work.

Cool thread! It's funny how many people have put down Skandar Keynes. :)

1: Abraham Lincoln. From what I read, he seems like he was a pretty dang cool guy. He's number one, after C.S. Lewis.

2. Alexander Hamilton. This guy was very smart. I was reading some excerpts from The Federalist that he wrote and the way he presented things made you think, for sure. He's one of the guys who really pushed for our country to have election by vote frequently and a constitution. Plus alot of the things he said really apply to now-a-days.

3. Patrick Henry. Smart guy. He had a pretty sweet speech. It makes sense. All in all, he'd be so awesome to meet.

4. Andrew Adamson. So I could really drill him and figure out why the heck he felt the need to (at least partially) mess up my favorite series.

5. Stephen R. Lawhead. Great, great books. He's got to be one of my favorite authors after Lewis.

Terry Brooks and Frank Peretti'd be on there, but there are only five spaces. :(

Hmmm... I just noticed most of the people on my list are dead. Ah, well. :p

Queen S- I would list far more than 5, so I just held myself to two siblings who I really, really want to meet now. :P It would be nice to go to one place and meet everyone I'd like to, though. :)

Sweeet- I like how you put "Abraham Lincoln" on there! He was an amazing person. And, LOL, interesting intentions for on meeting Andrew Adamson.

Hm, I wonder if we can add another five... ;))

in no particular order:

1) Matt Thiessen: he's in my favourite band and he's written a good portion of my favourite songs. I'd like to see if he's always as witty as his songs are, and how he can come up with the stuff he does.
2) Bono: I don't always agree with everything he does, but he seems like he must be the most confident person in the world and he refuses to be kept from saying what he thinks or believes.
3) Gerald Morris: the author of my favourite series of books. He has such interesting ways of thinking when it comes to Christianity and human nature and such, I'd love to talk with him for a while.
4) The Beatles: this is actually four people, but I'm hoping that doesn't matter too much. If these guys were anyone other than The Beatles, I would never want to meet them, since I don't think I'd really like them as people, but really, how many people can say they've met The Beatles? Not many.
5) Walt Disney: a lot of my favourite movies have his name on them, and I'd love to tell him about the many times I forced my Dad to watch Snow White with me when I was little (and still now, although not as often). It would be very cool for me, since Snow White was my first favourite movie, and it was the first of it's kind and therefore a huge accomplishment for him.

there were a couple more i'd have liked to squeeze in there, but alas, The Romanovs and Grace Kelly will have to settle for 6th and 7th place.

The Romanovs! Infinite bonus points for Hyaline!

The only person that comes to mind at the moment is William Wilberforce. I love his story and he seems such like a wise, dedicated, down-to-earth sort of person. And way more witty and charismatic than Amazing Grace made him seem (although the movie was smashing anyway). CSL is a given...I'd also like to meet G.K. Chesterton and Raoul Wallenberg and anyone who lived through WWII and has a story to tell. ...Ok, maybe Wilberforce isn't the only one. :P

I was going to name five Narniawebbers but it was TOO hard to narrow it down.

Do fictional characters count for this or do the people have to have the good fortune of actually existing? ;)

Yay for Matty T, Hyaline! ;))

I'd like to tell her in person how great she is on the piano (Are you reading this, Kat? :) )

Aw, I feel so honored! I'd love to meet you too!

Wow, seriously? I've never really talked to the Mallys, but I've seen them at the IA capitol before... I saw Grace play the harp I believe...
And for Bright Lights concert around this area they stayed at my best friend's house. You're right, it is a small world!

Haha, that's pretty sweet! Yeah, especially in the Christian/homeschool/Iowa world =P

Truth...I would want to say Christ, but I've already encountered Him, although it would be awesome to see Him in human form, as FFJ said.

1. Mike Donehey (lead singer of Tenth Avenue North). He's so sold out for Christ and I was blessed enough to hear him give a message at a concert a few weeks ago. God's really anointed him. Honestly, I would just want to hear him talk face to face about his faith and God's feelings for us.

2. Jon Foreman (lead singer of Switchfoot). He seems like a complex guy and I love his view of life. I'd want to get to ask him what inspired some of his songs and/or what they mean.

3. Steven Spielberg. I'm in awe of the man. He's such a creative genius. Some of his movies were completely odd to me, but they worked.

4. Louis Giglio. Amazing speaker. Laminin, anyone? ;) God's blessed him with the gift of reaching others.

4. Dominic Monaghan. Face it. He's hilarious. If I had the guts, I'd walk up to him and say, dead serious, "When will you wear wigs?" 8-}

Aragorn! That'd be my first reply if he acutally existed beyond the pages of a book. Ohh and second would be Airel from the Little Mermaid. (if you already read my post from the Disney Fans only thread you would understand lol)

Well anyway I'd really like to meet:

William Moseley
Elizabeth Stanton (I am a woman's rights supporter and I love what she worked for during her life)
J.R.R Tolkien (to ask him how he came up with Lotr and give me pointers on how to write a classic)
The Jobros (hehe i'm a fan)
Tamora Pierce (i love her writing)

so that's my five people i'd want to meet...

Team Edward and Team Jacob are overrated. I'm Team Avatar!

Hathaway Standalone, you really must go to a Tenth Avenue North concert the first opportunity you get.. be checking their schedule online to see when they come near you! It's just amazing to hear him share while they're playing at the concert. Plus, they always do meet and greets afterwards so you'd have a really good chance of getting to meet him.
Edit: Wow, I'm slow, I just re-read your post and I see that you did go to a concert. :P Did you not get to meet him afterwards? Or did you, but there just wasn't really much time to talk w/ him since you were in this huge line of people getting autographs..?

I have way more than 5 people that I'd love to meet, but here are a few:

~Roger Federer-Apart from being an amazing tennis player, he seems like a wonderful person.

~Rolf Lovland-The music he writes cannot be described with words. I'd love to thank him in person for his compositions and their influence on me.

~Andrew Adamson-Being a Narnia fan, do I even have to give a reason?

~Melanie Brown-She's a great person, who does a lot of good things. Plus, she's hilarious!

I'd also love to meet the Narnia cast again. They'd be on the list above if I hadn't already had the pleasure of meeting them. ;)

Well, of course I'm going to meet Jesus, and all of these people in heaven (that will be totally awesome!) but I would like to meet them on Earth too! :D And not really in this order...

1. Jon Foreman (singer/songwriter for Switchfoot)
I love the way he sees life, and how deeply he thinks about things. it would be awesome to talk with him about God and life in general. and to tell him how much I love his songs and how they've helped grow in my faith in God!

2. Mike Donehey (of Tenth Avenue North)
I love how much he stresses the point of God's love, and how that changes everything! He's so passionate about Christ and I would love to talk to him, and also tell him about how his songs touched me. I love it when people totally commit there lives to God, and He does awesome things with it!

3. Paul from the Bible
This guy...man...what a passion for Christ! I can't WAIT to talk to him in heaven! He was so Christ-like and wise, humble, and he let God use him! Pretty amazing...

4. All the NarniaWebbers! most people don't know me (least I don't think so... :-s ) but I read a lot of the fourms, even if I don't post and you're all are such great peeps! :D I wanna meet you all!!

5. George MacDonald
I LOVE his books!!!! They're amazing! He was such a creative and gifted writer! I've only read The Baronets Song, The Shepard's Castle and The Fisherman's Lady, so I wanna read them all! Such great stories about the way love and God! :)

So, I can't wait for Heaven, when I can't meet all of those really awesome people! :D

'Tis so very hard to narrow this down, but here goes in no particular order (three givens are Jesus—as He walked this earth 2 millennium ago, C.S. Lewis, and more NarniaWebbers!):

1) J.R.R. Tolkien
2) William Wilberforce, Olaudah Equiano, John Newton, and William Pitt (okay that's sneaking four scrunched into one , but their lives are so intertwined :p)
3) Howard Shore
4) Winston Churchill
5) Douglas Gresham

Hmm, I have no females on the list ... okay, quickly :-$ : Hannah More, Karen Carpenter, Fanny Crosby, and Helen Keller (and one more man: Joseph of Genesis).

(Good grief, why can't I keep to just 5? :-?? :p )
