Hello Narnians,
Lately I've been trying my hand at writing a script for a Narnia fan film which I may or may not put to screen in the future. (I've done some VERY amateur filmwork but nothing approaching passable quality for this kind of project, so I would have to develop quite a bit before I'm comfortable taking this on).
I feel like there's a serious lack of original, extra-canonical fan films for Narnia (whereas Middle Earth fan films seem to be available in floods, lol!) Even if I end up not making one, it'd be great to see another fan take their own camera to this. (And with the coming of Netflix Narnia, it'd likely perform well on YouTube, etc. as the demand for new Narnia content hopefully rises).
Since this would likely have a less-than-micro-budget, it's important to shape the story to fit the storytelling capacity of the filmmaker without having to stretch too much. With that in mind, what kind of Narnia fan films (if any) would you like to see, and what do you think is achievable by a random Narnia fan with a camera?

........I'm intrigued but also wondering if fanfilms are too close to fanfiction, which seems to be against policy to discuss on this particular site.
Narniaweb doesn't encourage fanfiction (though I am aware that there are quite a few out there for Narnia).
Besides, it's very likely that the Estate wouldn't approve of a Narnia fan film. If there was a possibility of a low-budget Narnia film, that could be another discussion.

I'd quite forgotten the rule on that! @Mods, if this falls under the heading of fanfic discussion, I'll take it down.
I'm unsure what the necessary approval requirement is on fanfilms in general; I'd have to look into the legal details on that. Is the estate known for prohibiting fan films? That'd be another point to research, I suppose.

Quick Mod Note: Fan fiction continues to remain a prohibited topic on NarniaWeb, and this extends to ideas for fan made films. As long as the estate’s position is “zero tolerance” on this topic, so too shall our position remain.
